I kid you not-if this was the last pizza place on EARTH, I would STILL not order from here. I used to be a huge fan of Di Nico's. I've been ordering pizza from them for about 2 years, but something has really happened over there. I don't know if all of their competent employees have left or the chefs no longer give a crap about the quality of their food. All I know is that this place is downright awful now compared to what it was. My office ordered from them at least once a week for about 2 years; as time went on, the delivery drivers became more and more careless. One specific time, we ordered a pizza and calamari. The pizza arrived 20 minutes late and "...oh wait, uh, I forgot your calamari." The delivery driver went back to Di Nico's to pick up the calamari. Rather than bringing us a new order, he brings back the one that was ICE COLD. Legit, ICE COLD. I kid you not. Another instance was when my boyfriend ordered a pizza and when we received it, the cheese was all on one side of the pizza. So, I call and calmly explain what happened. What did the woman say to me again? Oh, yeah it was something along the lines of "It happens. Sorry about that." Click....yeah. So, in a nut shell...not a fan anymore. This place is fine late night. We enjoy the pizza especially the meaty. However, tonight I ordered the arancini... two of them to be exact. Amazed to find them cold, uncooked and soggy. If anything they were put in the microwave for 30 seconds. I can't imagine anybody would believe these things were fit to serve unless it was done in purpose. Ordered the small cheese pizza and an Italian beef dry, juice on the side with hot peppers and mozz cheese. Can't ever go wrong with pizza. Would have given 5 stars but they forgot my juice on the side for my beef. I order it dry so that it isn't super soggy by the time it gets to me and I just dip myself. Worst service ever. I ordered a stadium sausage, mushroom, extra cheese, light extra sauce. Barbeque wings, 2 large order of frenchies. When my meal arrived, the pizza looked like the delivery driver dropped it on the floor. The wings we hot not BBQ, the french fries were 1|2 cooked and greasie. I called to complain I was told that they could not remake my order by managers orders. I asked to speak to the manager for a refund. I was told that the Manager was not there. Ever since I moved to a new area, one of my main goals has been, and always will be, to discover/try every pizza place in the surrounding area. I finally got around to trying DiNico's earlier this month. I ordered a large sausage pan pizza. The delivery was reasonably timed and friendly; a small but undervalued aspect that I personally always appreciate. The pizza was the perfect size. Some places try to skimp on the size and cut corners but DiNico's was great. For me, and I think for most pizza enthusiasts, the most important parts we look for in the pizza are the sauce and the dough. The dough was fine in it's own right, but the hero for DiNico's pizza was the sauce. There was a nice, thick layer, that was truly full of flavor. Plenty of sauce there, which I like. I wish I could've gotten a second opinion, but I, proudly, smashed this entire pizza myself. Don't worry about my health though I did like, at LEAST 6 sit-ups after. Overall, I definitely enjoyed DiNico's. Being that Lou Malnati's is still in my vicinity, it has stiff competition, but I can say that I will for sure order another pizza from here. read more

As my hubby noted, this place was quite underwhelming. Everything that we ordered with cheese on it (chicken parm, garlic bread) was covered, drowned, over cheesed to cheesiness beyond. Pizza. It is what many people crave at almost any time of day. This location has made a tremendous improvement over the last 2 years. The renovation of the interior is warm and welcoming. The staff is pleasant as well. The quality of the food has increased its value as the owners do their best to be the best. All people are entitled to their opinion. Therefore any business will have its small list of things they can improve on since no-one is perfect. One thing I would like to add is that this restaurant is very accommodating when there is an issue which is not heard of in my experience. My review is only based of the gelato since I haven't tried any of their food. There aren't many gelato places in the area, but if you're craving some this hits the spot. They offer the 3 standard cup sizes for gelato. You can also get it in a waffle cone. I wish i had the option to only get one scoop in the waffle cone. For $5 you get 3 scoops, but that's too much gelato for me. They should give you the option of how many scoops you want. They are open 24 hours now and have huge slices of pizza. I went in for the first and asked for two slices of pizza the girl behind the counter hands me two mini cups for pop I told her I just want the slices she TELLS me that it comes with it. Which made no sense to give ONE person TWO small cups. But anyway I had to wash the cups (at the pop machine) out since she had her fingers all in them. The pizza was nasty as hell:the sausage was barely decent & almost no sauce and the meat lovers was sh*t. We have ordered from this place four times, our last being last night ( or early morning today if you see it that way, 11/17/2018). The previous three times, our experience was awesome. We had ordered onion rings and a pizza. The onion rings always showed up piping hot and crispy. Whoa! Really! Super awesome. Then last night. We ordered a pizza. When it showed up, we opened the box and noticed the following: It looked like they piled all the cheese in the middle of the pizza and failed to cover the entire circle. There was a zone around the crust where there was no cheese (about 1-1.5" wide). In addition, the entire crust was stuck to the cardboard box. I contacted Grubhub (we placed all four orders though them) who in turn called the restaurant. Their responses were as follows: [Grubhub] called Di Nico's and they said that, "unfortunately [we] are not able to provide a refund. [They also said that,] if you had talked to us yesterday they would have sent you the order again." We placed this order at about 1am and received it an hour later. I wasn't about to contact them at 2-2:30am to discuss issues with the order. The entire order totaled around $35-40. The people running this restaurant are completely unprofessional. I will never order from this restaurant again. The name of this restaurant including this review will go onto my Facebook and personal website. Gas station food is better. WORSE WORSE WORSE FOOD I EVER HAD. I'm a chef I know lazy cooks, the pasta I was sold had been double boiled, the chicken was frozen before got to grill was put on the grill with olive oils making the chicken smelled like smoke. The Mexican manager does nothing but hires young women like 6 girls running one register and only one knew who looked like a drag queen with cake make up, knew how to work the register but acts like is her business, not good she running it to the ground. Is dirty, no hair nets and they are all touching and putting pizza out. Manager looked like he was going on a date instead of sending someone home he went home. Horrible service, terrible food!! I was charged $21.00 for angel hair and GRILLED BURNT UNBREADED CHICKEN ITALIANO parmagiano which had Mozzarella not parmagiano anywhere. Looked like Mexican food and tasted like a Bad enchilada, bread tasted like a taco. Horrible food I believe is the staff reviewing the food do not go here. Worst food .....worst customer service and management treats there employees very disrespectfully. Large pizza slices which is mostly dough. The rest of the menu is below average and everything is overpriced. The only way I see someone leaving a good review is if they are friends or family. Watch management talk to there employees when you visit. Domenzos which is down the street has way better with better prices and great customer service. Dinico's heard our cries, and brought back the RC. It also appears that they've gone back to the larger large slices. Around the time they did away with the RC, they seemed to have reduced the size of the slices. The slices were still very large, but they were a bit thinner and didn't seem quite as big. Now, the slices appear to be back to normal, the RC is back, and we're happy campers. It may sound silly to others, but for some long time Dinico's customers the RC is quite important lol. Unfortunately, Dinico's spinach pizza is a little blah. It seems to lack flavor and I don't really like the consistency of the spinach they use. In the area, although it costs a little more, I prefer Albano's for spinach pizza. Dinico's pepper and egg sandwich is... okay. It's very large, and not something you're likely to finish at one time unless you've got a huge appetite. However, I don't really like Dinico's use of American cheese. The choice of french bread also makes it a little harder to chew. It's okay, but in the area, I like Pete's pepper and egg sandwich better. However, for plain cheese pizzas and large slices, Dinico's has the area competition beat. read more

Had to stop by and have "The world's largest slice of pizza". Went with the "Meaty Pizza". Was it large, yes. Meaty, there was meat on it, hardly any sauce. Delicious, not really. But to only spend $5.50 for lunch (includes a drink!), and to not be able to finish it all......definitely worth the stop. read more

For those that don't like a thicker thin crust, I get it. But that isn't a reason to right a business off. That's when you venture to the menu to find out how else they make their pizza, and guess what? They have an extra thin that if you would have thought to ask, they would have given it to ya, and maybe the reviews would be different. Anyway, I'm always stating that I'm a person that looks for consistency, and while there are a few other places I order from, DiNico's is one of the more frequent places that I do business with because of their consistency. You always know what you are going to get!! Either way, whether you stop in or have it delivered, you always get the same thing. And that's a good thing, people!! Price-wise, comparable. I love this place. I've been coming here for as long as I can remember since I was a little kid. My family would always order from here and I would get so excited for pizza night. I still get hyped when I get dinicos, especially because I don't live in the area anymore. Nothing beats delivery but the store pickup is a great deal. It's all about the cheese, grease, and the sheer size of the pizza. I always recommend this pizza to friends and family who aren't as familiar with Chicago thin crust pizza. I can't smell or taste but I'm speaking from what my family says and they said it was real good. Although the pizza had a lot of bread the bread had good taste to it. Dinico's is our new go to pizza place. We get the extra thin, well done pizza and it's great every time. Plus they give us a liter of Dinico's Cola (RC) with the meal. I love me some RC. They let us order "off the menu" too... we'll occasionally order meatballs, sausage, italian beef and giardinera on our pizza. Another local place had that "special", but they weren't open during their posted business hours so we asked Dinico's to make it for us and they did. We usually get the boneless wings (hot) and the tomato & mozz salad as part of our orders... and maybe a little gelato as well. Yes, they will deliver gelato. Nuff said. read more

I ordered three stadium sized pizzas as a reward for a voracious class of twenty-three 8th graders. Most pizza places don't deliver before 11am, but DiNico's Berwyn, IL location was extremely kind and accommodating when I called and helped me out greatly by delivering at 10am. The food came perfectly on time despite the unusual time request, was piping hot and delicious, and it was the perfect amount of food with a few slices left over. One of my favorite family owned pizza joints in the great Chicago area. Warm welcomes when you walk in Is what set the bar high for me. Went in to pick up some of their amazing pizza and the World Cup game was on. The staff was all in the World Cup attire and the energy was palpable. Didn't have to wait longer than a second for my take out. But I can't stress enough how great their pizza is though. It has the perfect amount of crunch, softness, sauce, cheese (or toppings), crispness to make any pizza love rank this high on their list. Grabbed 2 pizzas from there the other night. It had been a year or so since we been there. I was disappointed from the start when I could look up their menu on the website. It wanted me to do a online order. I just wanted to see what they had. So I called and talked to a very nice woman who help me out. I ordered one 14" extra thin crust and one 14" regular crust. And I couldn't tell the difference between them except for the toppings. Really disappointing, they used to have an exceptional extra crust. Don't think we'll be going back any time soon. read more
