Happy hour menu as of May 2025

Dinner for Two came highly recommended to me by a friend & I'm so glad we stopped in for HH Arrived 20 mins after they opened and the patio was already starting to fill up. I noticed most people ordered the salmon fish & chips and the portion seemed large relative to many of the other options I almost died when I took a bite of the taco, it was one of the best tacos I've ever had. Mini chimi was good but I would rather order double the tacos and skip the chimi. The mushroom risotto is unique, good flavor, a bit watery in texture and would pair nicely with the beef bites Cocktails were strong and/or you're 6k feet above sea level so they hit different if you're not from here Service was great and we enjoyed sitting on the covered patio. I would love to come back and try their actual dinner menu sometime. A must visit if you are ever in Santa Fe!

As a solo woman traveler it took a bit of courage to walk in here. Who names their restaurant "Dinner for two" anyway. Recently, in Santa Fe for a conference I thought I'd check it out. Turns out they have a wonderful HH menu- with several healthy options. I had the salmon salad (the asparagus was al dente, and the salmon delicious although not much of it.) A pet peeve. I arrived early to an almost empty dining room, and the server wanted to sit me practically on top of a couple enjoying a romantic dinner. I balked and asked for some space - granted. But why the tendency to sit folks so close together? No one want to hear the conversation at the table next to you. Then, again, this would have been an issue for me, not the couple. The tendency to sit solo diners (even those like me who tip for two) at less than attractive tables still exists. A little assertiveness paid off. Attentive servers and tasty food. A stone's throw from The Eldorado.

We went early for happy hour and the menu was great! We really enjoyed the fried ribs and the crab cakes! Great service and atmosphere.

Very close to the Pinon Court our crib, we arrived just before Happy Hour ended at 6.00pm. I had a perfectly crafted Basil Hayden Old Fashioned and Pablo had The Love Bubble, $10 each, very good value. the pictures don't do the excitement of the Love Bubble justice. The bartender was efficient, polite and helpful. To the left upon entering is a large formal dining area, moodily lit for a nice dinner. To the right is the bar area and a few high tops against the window. The bar looks to the kitchen. We sampled the mushroom risotto with truffle oil and the crab cakes, both were A-OK, risotto is tricky, and it was slightly mushy. The truffle oil a little sickly. Both items $10 each. We shoulda coulda have made better choices. The dinner menu looked excellent. The only downside was there were about 6 unoccupied staff to the right of us chattering and laughing. Same going on in the kitchen. This brought the whole tone and expectation down a bit. Staff need to be seen and not heard. Otherwise it is a top notch place to go.

We had dinner for 2 at Dinner For Two for my mom's birthday, and it was very nice. We had been outside all day so it was nice to come in to this mellow ambiance of stained glass sconces and chandeliers and unique art. Of course we had to try the tableside Caesar salad, which was adjusted to our taste (more or less garlic, anchovy, etc.) and my mother declared the best Caesar salad she had ever eaten. For our entrees, she got the seafood sampler composed of shrimp, salmon and a crab cake; after being in the sun so much, I wasn't terribly hungry so following the big salad I just got a bowl of the truffle mushroom soup and the coconut shrimp appetizer. The shrimp was tasty with perhaps just slightly too thick a breading; the soup was delicious, a nice blend of creaminess and the mushroom umami, though would have benefitted from a little garnish, even just a dash of chopped chives, because its gray porridge appearance gave the impression of a Dickensian gruel, which totally belied its flavor. I had said it was her birthday on the reservation and so our dessert came with a huge sparkler shooting out of the top! This was the chocolate sphere, and was one of those deconstructed desserts that while tasty, was a bit of a challenge to eat, but its accompanying dulce de leche sauce was delicious. Staff was friendly and with the tableside services are obviously going above and beyond the usual. Overall, a great choice for a special meal in Santa Fe

We were in Santa Fe for vacation, and before we left I did some research on restaurants. A daunting tasks with all of the great places there. I came across Dinner for 2 which excited me because they have a great Happy Hour menu. We were not disappointed. Our evening began with house crafted cocktails. I tried the Unicorn Tear which was wonderful and refreshing. Next our table of 4 shared an assortment of wonderful tapas style noshes. Crab cakes, nachos, coconut shrimp, tacos, strawberry and beet salad. Everything was elegantly served and tasted amazing. But the star of the evening was the table side bananas Foster..... amazing a dessert and a show! I highly recommend Dinner for 2.... wish we had something this great near me!!

Went to Dinner For Two in Santa Fe with my husband. We split the oyster mushroom risotto as an appetizer. I had the NY Strip. It was topped with truffle fries and accompanied by mashed potatoes and asparagus and blistered tomatoes. There was also a blue cheese, Worcester, and red onion sauce. It was so good! My husband had the veal picatta. Also accompanied by mashed potatoes and asparagus and blistered tomatoes. Both so good. The cocktails were delicious! The ambiance was perfect for a date night. Highly recommend!

The restaurant itself is beautiful. We loved the interior décor, the comfortable seating, and the warm, romantic atmosphere. There was plenty of seating, and the full bar offered an impressive selection of cocktails, wine, and spirits, making it a great place to enjoy a drink before or during dinner. We started with the Seasonal Shrub, a refreshing watermelon-cucumber soda, and a perfectly balanced Hugo Spritz with elderflower, ginger, lemon, mint, and tonic. The Tuna Tartare was incredibly fresh, the Street Corn Velouté was rich and creative with red chile popcorn and lime crema, and the Seared Crab Cake was packed with crab and cooked beautifully. For our entrées, the Prime Filet Mignon and Cowboy Ribeye were both cooked to perfection and paired wonderfully with whipped potatoes, peppercorn demi, and sautéed asparagus. The Roasted Chicken was just as impressive--juicy and flavorful with confit potatoes, bacon, mushrooms, and a rich chicken jus. We finished with two fantastic desserts. The Bourbon Pecan Bread Pudding with salted caramel was warm, decadent, and unforgettable, while the Berries n' Cream with pistachio crumble was light, fresh, and the perfect ending to the meal. Market Steer Steakhouse exceeded our expectations in every way. The quality of the food, attention to detail, warm hospitality, beautiful ambiance, and impeccable service made this one of the best dining experiences of our trip. We would absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting New Mexico.

That kind of hospitality makes the whole meal feel elevated. I had Le Flor, a gorgeous pink gin and elderflower cocktail that was as lovely as it was refreshing. We also loved the chicken thigh skewers, which were flavorful and tender without being fatty, served with a beautiful yogurt smudge on the plate. The grilled eggplant with capers and manchego was another favorite, and the jamón croquettes were crisp, savory perfection. Creative food, thoughtful service, and a warm Santa Fe atmosphere. We were warmly greeted and we're happy. It was on the quiet side since they weren't busy yet. By the time we left, it was busy! We really enjoyed our server, Paris. He was warm and seemed to take a general interest in us. I shared my concerns with him that my pallet doesn't tolerate much spicy. He at all. He assured me there would be no problem in accommodating that. He started us off with a complementary prickly pear & lemonade drink which we loved! He also provided a complementary appetizer which was very unique and made out of avocado and mascarpone and some other items I don't remember. Why I didn't love it, I did enjoy hasting something so unique and different. We started with the best cornbread I've ever had that shaped like a cob of corn with three different kinds of butters. The cornbread is $12 and worth it! Next came the Caesar salad wrapped in some kind of egg roll wrapper and topped with an anchovy mixture. We split it so we each got two rolls which was plenty. We very much enjoyed the flavors in the salad. Don ordered the Wagyu short rib with polenta. While we don't love polenta, this was tasty and complemented the beef nicely. Don said this was the best short rib he ever had. I wish I had a picture of how they presented it. When they took the lid off, there was a lovely steam cloud and it smelled wonderful. I had scallops with each one placed beautifully on top of of really interesting wild rice and finished with toasted coconut. The pineapple salsa and the Hoja Santa Fe Oil were placed in small rounds in the middle of the dish because they had some kick to them. What was especially impressive, is the gentleman who brought out my meal leaned over and said that the Chef wanted to let me know that the two items in the small dishes had heat to them, but I was encouraged to give them a try for the full flavor. Impressive! I was able to enjoy the pineapple salsa, but the oil was a little too spicy for me, but I'm glad I tried it. We would've loved to try dessert, but we were fully satiated by our delicious meal. It was quite an experience and we look forward to returning.
