A New Mexico original!!! I love Dions pizza, their sandwiches, and their salads!!! How can a salad taste so different from this place versus making on at home? Absolutely marvelous with the items they place in and on their food! The whole concept behind their business practice makes them attractive for investors (if they were an IPO) and I would seriously try to own a store (if they allowed franchising). The pizza and their dough and spices hit the winning bell in my book! The sandwiches are stupendous with variety and flavor! The Greek sauce, ranch dressing (with or without green chili) must have an addictive additive somewhere in it! Our family loves and frequents Dion's often! I am a visitor to Albuquerque. I come to visit family periodically. Today I went to Dion's on 4th street. According to a menu on-line a large special pizza was $18.95. Granted the web site stated that is has not been since it was updated 6 months before so I expected somewhat of a price increase in the 6 months since the menu had posted. I just did not expect a 25% increase. True the price of everything has gone up but the very least the company should do in this day and age of technology, is update their website prices. The company must not have anybody who is capable of updating their website menu. Shame. Very disappointed. The company should give their customers an on-line price menu that's accurate. Will not go back to this or any other establishment located in this city or any other city or state location. read more

We were in town for the night and our hotel was close to Dion's. I called in a pizza order and then went and picked it up. We got a medium Kansas City (BBQ chicken) and a couple slices of pepperoni on the side. The order was ready on time and the cashier was very friendly. The BBQ chicken pizza was really good - it was a thin crust, cut into smaller than normal slices, and the flavors were really good. I'd order it again. read more

Another trip to Dion's at Towne Center and another screw up. We placed an order 45 minutes ago for a large pizza. When we came to pick it up they obviously lost the ticket and were scrambling to figure out where our pizza was. They asked us over and over again about the details of our order and then came back and lied to us and said they had the pizza all along and were putting it back in the oven to get it well done and then directed us to wait in their parking lot. After all that waiting, they came out with a pizza that wasn't what we ordered and barely cooked! We didn't accept it and are taking our money elsewhere. We are done giving Dion's chance after chance. It's time to try some new pizza places that will actually value our business. This was the last straw. We are offically done being customers of Dion's, which is sad because back in the day they were the best. What happened??? read more

Went to dion's on my way to the Gran Canyon, we stayed at a hotel near by and order a half pepperoni and half pepperoni and jalapeños, it was nice to have a pizza with jalapeños with some kick to it, besides the jalapeños, It was a very tasty pizza, if I am ever back in the area, I will definitely will stop by and get me another pizza. 7/24 As newcomers, it's a little confusing when you first enter. It looks like a sit down restaurant, but you order your pizza at the counter and then they call your name to come and fetch it. We got a medium carnivore (meat lovers) and a small sausage pizza. They were massive! We could have easily shared one pizza. I liked the sauce and it had plenty of toppings. They serve subs as well but tonight we just tried their pizzas. It was clean and had plenty of seating. If we were in the area again, we'd go back and just order less. :) read more

Every town has their favorite pizza place- the iconic one, the one when you move away you still crave and for Albuquerque that pizza place is Dion's. While the pizza here is good, it's not going to placate a lot of east coast folks because there is no way you can compare pizza from Dion's to a NY style or Chicago-style pizza- it's apples and oranges. But if you like thick crust- you'll be happy. The star of the show here is really the salads. Not so much the salads themselves, which have pretty basic ingredients, but the dressings. Namely, their ranch and Greek dressings. The new green Chile ranch is definitely on the way to being iconic as well. Biggest bummer about the place- no beer or wine or delivery. read more

We came here on a recommendation from our friend who is from New Mexico and the TSA agent from the airport haha. We ordered the green chili and pepperoni pizza. So good! And the green chili ranch dressing for the salad was also delicious. Definitely go here and check it out. read more

Was told my personal pizzas would take 30 minutes. I waited over an hour. At one point I was told they were just sitting to cut my pizza. 15 minutes later I checked in with them again. Ordered take out after a 12-hour drive and stopping in ALB for the night to rest. Dion's was a wonderful surprise to our hungry bellies. We all ordered something different, but there wasn't a complaint in the hotel room. The pizza and sandwiches were a hit and my cobb salad was absolutely to-die-for! Not sure if I'll be back through ALB again to order, but if I am, I will. I highly recommend it! Grab a HUGE cookie while you're there!! FAN-TAS-TIC!!! (A side note on customer service...which I didn't want to add, was when my husband returned to the hotel with our meal there was a side Cesar salad missing. We called the restaurant back and whomever we spoke with, after checking, was adamant that they had sent it home with us. Regardless, they offered another salad which we drove over to pickup along with a couple of free cookies given to us. The next morning while packing up the car at OH DARK 30, low and behold, there was the missing salad that had fallen out of the bag and lodged in between the door and the seat. Oh, Dions. Forever one of my favorites. Surprisingly, I'm not at all a fan of their pizza. I'm definitely more of a wood cooked pizza kind of gal. Anyhow, can we just talk about their salads, subs and cheesy toast?! My go to at Dions is a Turkey and Swiss with a fruit cup as a side and greek dressing. I always get extra tomatoes, which are happily provided at no extra charge. Their sandwiches are toasted perfectly with just the right amounts of meant, cheese, and lettuce. Pour a bit of Greek dressing on each bite, and you're good to go. Their cheesy toast is also great. Like my subs, I order this with wheat instead of white. Try it with green chile and turkey, or pineapple and ham. Both are delicious. I've tried most of their salads, all of which are great. They also now have mixed greens rather than only iceberg and romaine! Score! Looking for some tasty creamy ranch? Dions ranch is the best! This location is my favorite and more consistent than other locations I've been to. I always choose to call ahead and they have your food ready in less than 15 minutes! read more

I have been to a few Dion's for years. Now I'm lucky to get a slice at the Ball Park! Luckily we had time for a small pie which is plenty for two. Our advice go with the Pepperoni and Chile Verde! (Green Chili) It's not spicy but gives a ton of more flavor. Thanks to my wife for getting me to try it and ABQ Isotopes for having it at the game! To me the Chili Verde speaks New Mexico and Dion's does it right. I will look forward to my next visit. This location looks new and very clean. Staff was pleasant and quick. Back in the days I'd order ahead and pick up in the drive thru, this place has a drive thru wonder if you can still do that? read more

I stopped in here after I couldn't get anyone's attention at a nearby restaurant to be seated and I am SOO glad they didn't. The staff was friendly and helpful and the pizza I had was delicious. Pizza pizza pizza, need I say more. It's actually pretty nice that this is a local thing. Reasonable prices for quality food. You can order pizza by the size (small, medium, large) or by the slice. My personal fave is The Hawaiian (cheese pizza topped w/ Canadian bacon & pineapple). Their subs are pretty great too. I also find myself coming here for pizza whenever I have a craving for it -- this is the only place that will satisfy that pizza craving! read more

Meh. Not the best pizza we've had, but surely not the worst. We live in Florida, and we have some AWESOME New York style pizza places around there. This wasn't New York style, but it wasn't Chicago style deep dish either. The greek salad was pretty good, and the croutons were really good. The pizza sauce was average, the crust was average, and the large pizza felt more like a medium. Next time we're back in ABQ, we'll probably just order Domino's. read more

Typically around airports it's hard to find food. We accidentally saw Dion's from across the median and made a hard left into the parking lot. It was so good had to go back for a second visit the next day. The subs were fresh, non-bulk and tasty. The pizza, so very good. The staff was quick to step up to check-out lanes when lines got longer. Quick order-taking seems like a welcome priority. Refills are free. So why not five-stars? Food takes 20-30 minutes to come out and their pepperoni is more greasy than most restaurants. No biggie and worth it all, however! read more

This location has the best service of any Dion's I've been to. Even when it's busy, they never seem too stressed and they're always pretty quick at getting the food out. I got a sub to-go a couple weeks back and when I opened the box to make sure I got ranch instead of Greek dressing, I noticed it was the wrong sub altogether. Hannah was right there on the floor wiping down tables and must have noticed that something was wrong. She came to me to see if she could help and she fixed the situation really quickly. Wow! That is all that I have to say, the service here is absolutely incredible! I have never been wowed like this at a Dion's before. My friend and I were getting two subs to go, and we were discussing that they were a little late and Hannah comes around the corner and asks if we need help. We explained the situation to her and she immediately remedied it, Hannah went above and beyond to make sure that we had a wonderful experience. Management was also fantastic and were very excited to hear that their employees were doing so well. Props to Hannah, again for such a wonderful experience. read more

Eating here was my first time. I tell you it is a very delicious. We had a pizza and it was a medium size but my aunt and I could not finish it. I do recommend this restaurant to others and they also recommend new people trying this restaurant as well. Again it is very delicious and I thought the size of their salad I was flabbergasted, amazed! I give this restaurant a five star review because the customer service was excellent we were greeted when we walked in the door we were greeted at the register again and when we were done and I asked for it to go box the gentleman that was helping other customers also assisted me in getting me a to go box and he took the time to ask me how my meal was and I told him that I enjoyed it it was my first time and he told me that it's great to hear customers say that they enjoyed their food at Dion's and he also stated that when he first tried it he loved it as well and now he works there so Beyonce has my five star review and I will be back you can count on that! read more
