I loved the ambience of this establishment. The service and food were good but feel a bit overpriced. Portion sizes were good. The street corn, Chicken Mole and Queso funido we ordered and shared among two people and was plenty of food.

This sweet spot was a delightful surprise. Hidden away in a "strip mall" is this warm and inviting, classy, quiet and elegant restaurant. The service was excellent, with just enough attention to feel taken care of, and not too much so we felt rushed (I hate that). I felt like the servers were invested in us having a wonderful experience. And we did! We ordered the vegetable empanadas, which we spectacular! The crust was perfectly crispy and flaky. Some of the best empanadas I've ever tasted. For our entree, we shared the Japanese A5 Wagyu. The server seared it table-side on some crispy, buttery brioche. We had the poblano mashed potatoes on the side...wow! I was not expecting the flavor bomb that happened in my mouth! So delicious!!! For beverages- I had the Emerald Embers, a tequila-forward, citrusy, Serrano chili sparkle beverage that made me hum; my partner had the most delightful Santorini served and poured table-side in a porthole infuser. Gorgeous! The place is spendy though, so only on special occasions for us. We had a marvelous time!

Great service, we arrived early and the host was ver gracious and offered to get us drinks. She suggested a new gin Saint George (great pic). The place feels like a highly appointed eatery. The dood was good not great. The bar made some great drinks.

Walking In you get an elegant feel to it. Good for a date night with your girls or man. Food was mid for the price it's at. Nothing special. I got the steak plate and was a bit too salty. Our server kept checking on us so no complaints.

Beautifully decorated with top-notch service and an impressive cocktail menu. I had to try a few espresso martinis, and they did not disappoint. The pork shank was the standout: perfectly crispy on the outside with tender, fall-off-the-bone meat inside. Definitely the kind of dish you come back for. The shrimp was also excellent--plump and sautéed just right in a rich butter sauce. It's on the pricier side, but after another $20 cocktail, you probably won't mind as much

I've been here a couple times. Each time was a good experience. The place is nice with a good vibe. The customer service is great too. The last time we had the coco risotto (salmon) and the crispy pork shank. Both were amazing. The ambiance inside is semi dark. The music is a. It on the loud side but not too much. I'd definitely come back!

Birthday celebration dinner! We had reservations for a Friday evening, however, there was plenty of seating available. This establishments embodies an exuberant atmosphere perfect for a memorable dining experience. Stunning decor, featuring chandeliers and stylish furnishings. The cocktails were creative and food exceptional.

Chava was amazing !!!!! I had a wonderful experience at Diosa. He was so pleasant and patient with attentive and fast service. We had a large party and his communication and responsive was very much appreciated. Our event was extra special due to Chava and the manager were wonderful!!! The chefs outdid themselves. The flavor, spice and portions were perfect.

A five star restaurant in Downey, CA. A five star restaurant experience with great customer service and delicious food! They have rooms and spaces for private dining parties. We had guacamole and chips, shrimp ceviche, a burrito and fajita trio- with chicken/shrimp and steak. Good taste and seasoning. Beautiful black restrooms and nice art throughout the space. This place is really large. We also had margaritas. Great staff, respectful staff, such as Jose and Stella. Warning, a bit pricey, but worth it. We are returning soon.

My cousin took me here for my birthday and I had a great experience! We had food from the happy hour menu and it was delicious! I had the shrimp tacos with chips and guacamole. I loved the sauce they added to the tacos and I'm going back for more of that guacamole. Lastly they gave me a sweet treat with an amazing display for my birthday celebration. Thank you Diosa!

If you are looking for a local community that is busting and has a vibrant Latin culture representation, come to the city of Downey! And Diosa is a relatively new restaurant to the area. It provides fusion of Mexican and American cuisines with flare and sophistication. Diosa means goddess, if you ever wonder like I did, LOL! . So welcome to the dinning hall of the palace of the goddess! Came here with my coworkers and we had a blast! Loved the margaritas! And the appetizers were amazing which surpassed all the entrees that we had in my humble opinion. Great plating and presentations! Highly recommend the following: DIOSA CHUNKY GUAC Street Corn Chip and salsa Empanadas Ahi Tuna tower- just heavenly! And please at least watch other people ordering the Churros dessert, they really put on a show for you with fire! Our servers were attentive despite our big group. The place is huge! Great for family/group dining. Nicely decorated. Check out their happy hour menu to see which drink or dish you enjoy and come back for dinner later. And don't forget to stop by Porto's, the Cuban bakery, which is located across the street from Diosa, to pick up some freshly baked pastries to complete your trip!

Our server Emily was amazing and made the whole moment memorable. Came here for my friend's gender reveal and it was such a cute experience. The reveal was so unique they brought it out in a little potion-like box with smoke, which made it feel extra special and magical. The taquitos and street corn were really good, and the service was great.

They don't cheap out on drinks or food, and the quality is consistently great. Portions are generous, and you get far more sides and extras here than at most Mexican restaurants in the area. The staff of ladies who work here are phenomenal--warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. There is only one older gentleman I've seen be rude to customers, but aside from that single exception, the service is excellent across the board. I judge Mexican restaurants heavily based on how they make a Cadillac margarita, and this place absolutely delivers. Everything that comes out of the kitchen is perfectly cooked, plentiful, and clearly made with care. For me, this restaurant is a solid five out of five. The meal started with complimentary chips served alongside both a sweet mole and a savory, tangy mole sauce. It was something I'd never experienced before, and it was incredibly delicious. Service is attentive, the food has its charm with in-house made tortillas. It really was a hard review to write because all the elements of a great restaurant is embodied in this hidden gem. I chalk it up to ordering the wrong items. The flavors did not pop for me. Hubby opted for the chorizo and he said it was decent and he described it as "diet chorizo"--that he'd probably needed to go back to Sinaloa to capture the true essence of "real" chorizo, the way it's meant to be. The star of his meal was the in-house made flour tortillas-now that's authentic! This is/was the reason that it leaned towards a 4 star. These looked and tasted phenomenal. The aroma took me back to the times when we visited Rosarito's Puerto Nuevo, as the lady made the tortillas by hand & pressed them in the comal, ahh, good times. I ordered the vegetarian omelette with beans & potatoes. The omelette was decent with fresh bell peppers & onions but the seasoning was so mild that I requested for salt & pepper. The potatoes appeared well seasoned in color but lacked that oomph that salt & pepper couldn't fix. My apple pancakes were average. While I appreciated the strawberry compote, there was no apple or apple taste in them. To wash everything down, I had cafe de olla, that was good. The aroma of the brown sugar & cinnamon was ever present. Estrella, our server was very welcoming, attentive and friendly, she gets 5 stars for her service with a smile & hospitality. Their lunch & dinner menu looked very appealing but we wanted breakfast items. We wish we were both molé enthusiasts then perhaps we would've better appreciated & enjoyed those offerings. Both indoor & outdoor seating (front & rear), parking is free & shared with their liquor store at this corner small plaza. Beware, no restrooms available. I'm glad we gave this little shop a try.
