This was my very first visit to Diosa, and it truly felt like stepping into something special. A friend recommended it for dinner after our church service on New Year's Eve, and from the moment we walked in, we were blown away. The décor is stunning--sparkling chandeliers, vintage chaise lounges, and warm candlelit ambiance that feels elegant yet inviting. Although we had a 9:15 reservation and weren't seated until about 9:45, the rest of the experience more than made up for the wait. The manager, Stella, was wonderful and incredibly gracious, and our server, EStephanie, was nothing short of amazing. She was attentive, kind, and professional, and truly elevated our entire evening. She even went above and beyond by comping our dessert, which was such a thoughtful touch. The food was outstanding. The enchiladas and the steak were both a 10 out of 10--flavorful, perfectly cooked, and absolutely memorable. Every bite reminded us why people rave about this place. Between the exceptional food and the top-tier service, especially from EStephanie, Diosa completely won us over. If you're visiting, we highly recommend asking to sit in Stephanie's section--she is hands down one of the best servers we've ever had. We can't wait to come back and try the pasta next time. Came here for the first time after attending a show across the street at the Downey Theater. Had a reservation for 3 at 7:45p, but since the show ended earlier than expected, we checked in at 7:15p. The host did warn us that we would probably not be able to be seated until our reservation time, which we completely understood for a Saturday night. Unfortunately, we didn't get seated until 8:15p, which means we still waited half hour after our original reservation time (though still technically an hour after check in). As we waited in the very crowded lobby, noticed there were a few unoccupied tables for a while, so assumed they were short staffed as we noticed the host running around, pulling double duty, and prepping/cleaning tables (shoutout to her)! Noticed there was an empty outdoor patio, which could have been used as additional space for the overflow of waiting guests, but would have been nice if heaters and additional seating were provided. Upon seating, we noticed that the napkins were disposable which did not match the ambiance and pricing of food. Asked for a wine menu, which looked like it was designed on Word and laminated. This place has valet, but only three options for whites and reds? Linda helped attend us and was lovely, but unfortunately seemed like the rest of the crew was out of sync. We ordered drinks and guac to start. Just as our drinks arrived, a lady with a tequila cart tried to sell us bottle service? While we understand this might be appealing for some, definitely felt off putting for our dining experience. While the margarita flight was visually stimulating, flavors were lackluster with not being able to distinguish between them, except for the overly spicy Pineapple Serrano which had no taste of pineapple. Food arrived and we never received our guac. Linda apologized and mentioned that they were serving a very large private event and asked if we still wanted it, but at this point we politely declined. Food and presentation were good, though we ordered a steak, which didn't arrive with a steak knife and had to ask for one which came dull. Mid-way through our food, the guac arrived which we sadly had to state to the server that we had asked to cancel earlier. To end the night, my dad asked for a cup of coffee, which came cold, and the sundae dessert, which took a while to come out even with noticing that restaurant occupancy had gone down. Overall, 2 stars were given for Linda's kindness and food (not beverage). Definitely looks like a popular spot, but in my opinion, overall service does not match the aesthetic nor pricing. read more

I've visited a couple of times now, and I've had a lovely experience every time. I accumulated a few pictures from different visits for this review. I'll talk about the last couple of dishes I've enjoyed here. -The Food Recently, I've made it a point to come out and try the weekend brunch menu. I've tasted the Avocado Toast, and on another occasion, I tried the huge serving of Chilaquiles. Both are amazing dishes, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. -The Service Up to now, I've had great experiences with my servers. They provide excellent service that aligns with the beautiful aesthetics of this place. -The Ambiance This place has a very nice upscale environment. I love my Sunday brunches here. I'm currently dining at diosa on Valentine's Day, and although it's clearly busy, the overall experience has been disappointing. When we arrived, we were given a buzzer to wait for seating, which felt more like a fast-food system than a sit-down restaurant. It set the tone in a way that didn't match the atmosphere the place seems to be going for. After being seated, I noticed the use of plastic napkins instead of proper cloth napkins, which made the setup feel less polished. The biggest issue, however, was the wait time. It took about an hour for our food to arrive, which is excessive even on a busy holiday, especially without clear updates from staff. The printed menu is also poorly designed. The text is off-center and difficult to read, which makes ordering more frustrating than it should be. The staff themselves have been polite and professional, so the issue does not seem to be with them individually but rather with how the restaurant is managed. Finally, when it came time to pay, we were handed a loose receipt with no check presenter, which again felt informal and unorganized. They overbooked reservations and could not handle the amount of people they had in the restaurant. Nobody had their food and it was absolute chaos. They did it again! I came this time for my Anniversary on May 17 at 5:30 no reservations, we sat at the bar. The young man who served us was so friendly and polite, he made our drinks with love and treated my husband and I to a lavender champagne and dessert. The food was perfect! Don't really understand why you have a reservation system and still have people wait. Just FYI, if you have a reservation, you will still end up waiting over 30 minutes. Update: we got seated after waiting 45 minutes. We didn't get our food until 9:45. Our reservation was at 7:45. KBBQ has a limit of 2 hours. It was astonishing how long we waited. Servers, you won't be seeing much of them also they're dressed like Old Navy Employees. The fajitas had a gross sauce on top and a bunch of greasy fajitas. The beans tasted like canned beans. EYUCK! Don't know why we bothered to ask for a dessert menu, never got one. At this point it's already 10 pm. Honestly don't waste your time at this place. It's a want to be Javier's. Bad service, food is mid, no flavor, no salt, no steak knife's. Want to be high end restaurant that lacks class and service as well as quality. Valet as soon as you walk at the front door lobby girls are cute and nice the servers were really cool and shout out to the shot server she made our night. We asked what bars were around here and they helped us with that as well so nice and friendly! The carne asada plate was amazing and the salmon was really good! Drinks were tasteful and perfectly served from the bartender mixing them to the servers placing it on the table for us. They periodically checked on us and it was amazing! After 20minutes, a party of 6 walked in without a reservation and were seated within 5 minutes. We let another 15 minutes pass by and asked about the table. The Aesthetic is beautiful and gives boujee and picture worthy. But to begin with, our server had already upset my gf from the start with the attitude he had and looked like he did not want to serve us at all. On top of that, when I had ordered the Diosa and Co. as my drink of choice, I was excited for the presentation and was ready to post it on my social media. Ended up being served a messy drink that had also spilled on me a bit. The server just walked away without saying anything and didn't even come back with napkins for us to clean it up with. But at least the food that came out looked more presentable and had good flavors. I came to DIOSA to celebrate a friend's birthday a few weeks ago. I made a reservation, thinking it would be busy on a Sunday night -- but it was relatively slow. After a bit of waiting, we got seated at a booth (it's a very tall seating area LOL) near the bar. Luckily, we came on a Sunday which also means: all day happy hour! I ordered off the goddess hour menu and got the corn taquitos ($15) while my friends got the steak empanadas, protein bowl, and quesadillas. Moscatos were also ordered and they were incredibly light and sweet! One thing for sure is that their portion sizings are generous. I thought the corn taquitos would come out small, but they were way bigger than expected and actually filled me up! I ended up bringing home leftovers and my overall meal was good! My friends all liked their dishes too, but we noted that the steak empanadas were underwhelming. My group and I really liked the vibe at DIOSA! They offer a sophisticated and elegant, yet inviting aesthetic with chic decor. There was even a fully lined wall with clase azul bottles, which I thought was a super fun touch. The server was nice and attentive, he surprised us and bought out a slice of cake for my friend in honor of her birthday! My only note in terms of service is that we could tell they were trying to rush us out the door -- even though the restaurant was slow and it was only 9pm. The server came by like clockwork, literally asking us every 5 minutes if we needed anything else. It got so excessive to the point that the manager came over to introduce himself to us for no particular reason...we got the hint LOL. In all, DIOSA's food may not be the selling point of the place, but the vibes and ambience are what definitely makes it. Otherwise, I don't see it standing out too much compared to other Mexican restaurants tbh. Stopped by on Friday for their happy hour around 4pm and I really enjoyed the experience. The menu has many different options of food and drink to choose from.
