First of all it's June and they were already out of large and extra large Tshirts. Really!!! Second of all, the waiter never checked our food before bringing it out. My friend ordered crab legs and they came out cold. My boyfriend ordered shrimp pasta and got some sort of shrimp pizza. It took so long to get the correct two meals and we had to be somewhere, that we told them we didn't want them and to please take them off the bill, they offered to take 15% off. After arguing with the manager, who was very rude, and was going to call the police, they ended up taking 50% off the crab legs. Nothing off my boyfriends meal. My friend and my boyfriend couldn't eat there meals, but since we paid for them we ended up taking them with us. In conclusion don't go there. Very bad service. read more

I understand it is the Friday before the 4th of July in a pandemic. Kim (the manager) clearly needs a different job because customers service is not her forte. I called at 6pm to place a to go order and was told I needed to call back in 30 minutes. When I called at 630 I was told no to go orders would be taken until 730. I asked if I could leave my order and have it placed at 730 and was told no. I called at 730 and was placed on hold for 6 minutes and hung up on. By this point it's almost comical, so I called back again and spoke to the manager Kim. She was rude, unapologetic, and chose to hide behind the pandemic and holiday for her lack of customer service and general manners. There was no chance I was leaving an order at this point even if I could, but I asked when to go orders would be taken. Kim replied that she had to ensure orders placed earlier were done. When I asked why I wasn't allowed to place an order when I called at 6 to be filled later it was more rudeness and excuses. Yes, the pandemic has restaurants at 50%. What goes a long way is customer service and politeness. It is not like the Friday before the 4th of July during the pandemic was a surprise. We all saw it coming. Well, except for Kim who clearly was not prepared to handle it. Prior planning prevents piss poor performance, Kim. Your inability to plan for the day resulted in extremely poor customer service and the first Yelp review I can remember writing. The company name is catchy. The last time I had it the food was good. Not great. But good. But Kim is clearly overwhelmed and incapable of dealing with customers. Until Kim gets more training (was this really your A-team for the Friday before a holiday, pandemic or no, dirty dick's?) take your business elsewhere. All the restaurants are overwhelmed. I assumed this place would only serve seafood, that was where I was wrong. I stopped to take a picture of the hilarious sign, and went inside to grab a menu. There was a great variety of seafood (not just the offering itself but how it is prepared) AND non-seafood. My husband opted for the turkey club panini with grits (instead of fries). He really liked the food. I chose the AYCE fried seafood which isn't my preferred way of cooking seafood but hey..it was done well. The fish was light and airy and the chicken was cooked perfectly. Juicy tender meat which was also seasoned well. The virgin pina colada was exceptionally tasty and I don't usually like drinks like that. All in all I came for a pic and left with my entire family and our bellies full. Also, our server was very knowledgeable. I wanted to order crab cakes for later and she told me i could also order it in since reheated crab cake isnt the best. After being sat we order two appetizers.. crab dip as well as she crab soup. The soup tasted literally just like cream cheese no exaggeration you could not even taste any crab. The crab dip was served with pita bread, those of us that eat pita bread knows that it's supposed to be soft. Heck bread alone is supposed to be soft! But no this pita bread might as well have been a tortilla chip. They would have done better just serving the dip with crackers on the side. I complained to another waiter because it had been about 20 minutes and we hadn't seen our waitress, she didn't even bring our food out to us then we didn't see her until it was time to order our entrees. And I know what y'all are thinking why order an entree when the appetizers couldn't even be right!? But I'm a firm believer in second chances so I of course I still wanted to their actual food. I of course go very basic and order the crab cake sandwich with nothing on it, I order my daughter Alfredo no chicken and my friend orders the combo with steamed shrimp and snow crabs. Instead when he's leaving the table to walk back in the kitchen he slams the door open and closed to the point we literally were like oh no this is not even worth the headache. I call our waitress Tiana back over I inform her you know at this point I would just like the check so we can go. After THREE discrepancies with our meal you would think they would compensate us in some sort of way right? After literally sending back BOTH appetizers and my entree you would think they would at least compensate the food from the bill that was not consumed right? NOPE. Instead after asking for the manager for the second time he comes over with an attitude. I informed him I didn't feel it was fair to charge for food I did not eat and he knew I didn't eat it. I even still wanted to pay for my daughter and friends meal and our drinks. But instead he says either pay the whole meal or I call the police. ROB THE GENERAL MANAGER then grabs his phone and speed dials Christine at the station to send officers down because he said we were trying to leave without paying which was not true. I offered to pay for the food that was consumed. It is not right to pay for food you didn't not eat and you're leaving there still on an empty stomach. Y'all no exaggeration the table before us as well as us were the ONLY brown people in that entire restaurant. And he treated us like complete trash. Once the officers arrived Rob still did not compensate us in any way shape or form. He even pulled the intention to deceive card out of his pocket when talking to the police. You can tell he is 100% a racist bigot and that's his leverage whenever he is confronted with these issues. To avoid a ticket & going to jail in North Carolina I had to pay $95 for only $35 worth of consumed food. All bad customer service starts at the head and that head is Ron the General Manager. He is single handed the worst GM I've ever come across. SOLUTION should be the focus of any dispute instead he took his small town power trip. The money isn't the issue, it's the principle. Coming from Virginia Beach, VA where we have great food, great service, & great beaches we decided to take a trip to experience some different scenery and now we regret ever even coming. Amazing everything. The food, the service, the energy. This is literally everything I want in an ocean town crab house and more. Outrageous food and drinks! Living in MD my entire life, I can confidently say they respect steamed crabs and do them proper justice. Our server, Rachel was also fantastic. Fun atmosphere but a little pricey. My son and his friend got the monster fish sandwich which was HUGE. My daughter and I got chicken fingers since we don't eat seafood and those were HUGE. My boyfriend got the steamer with shrimp, corn, potatoes and sausage. He said it was bland...and I'll have to agree after sampling the potatoes. They did have old bay on the table but would have been nice if the plate came out with some seasoning. They bring the table a basket of hush puppies with honey butter which was delicious. All in all, a good experience for our family. I will say it you order something that comes with chips you can sub for fries. Our waiter did not ask if we wanted fries but the waitress taking care of the table behind us asked them did they want chips or fries. Our kids would have been happier with fries but no big deal. We entered because we thought it was an all you can eat buffet, but it is an all u can eat as they bring it. At least for lunch anyways! You can get just fried for the $15.99 all you can eat, so be warned. Steamed is 3 times that price. As we waited for what felt like the longest time for our food, a different server than we originally had brought us our meals. Our server never checked in to make sure everything looked alright or was correct, and we never got refills on our beverages. Very small selection I wish they had a fruit bar and the only thing I can really compare it to is the continental breakfast you can get at a hotel but with a few more options. They have an omelet station where they can make you omlets eggs waffles and pancakes. The food was average didn't have a huge selection. If you're looking for a good breakfast spot don't waste your time coming here. Also the thing that really did it for me was the lady at the omlet station though she was nice she kept staring at our table and the table next to us the entire time We were there. I feel bad for the other table because they had a small child and she kept coming over to their table every 2 seconds and talking and trying to shove things on them like a bowl or yogurt. Went here for dinner after the eclipse and we were not pleased with our meals. The only good part about our visit were those little biscuits they give you as an appetizer. I figured you can not go wrong with basic fish and chips.. but things did go wrong. They were flavorless and came with french fries instead of the tater-tots listed on the menu. Other people in my party had mess-ups as well. My girlfriends brother asked if he could have the spaghetti on a separate dish from his chicken, but instead they only separated the sauce. Crabhouse... should mean they are good at steaming Crabs right? Not so much. Crabs were lousy, tasted like mushy reheats. I am from Maryland where we eat crabs from April-November non stop. I can personally make you dozens of crab dishes with my eyes shut. Crabhouses like this make one of our favorite foods seem not so delicious, the service was also horrible, had to walk up to the bar to get my drink refilled twice and the place was dead! Great value for families! They give you a basket of hush puppies while waiting for your food. The hush puppies we got were not hot, but tasted very good, turning a bit sweet as you chew. My husband got the All You Can Eat fried baskets. He asked for 3 clam baskets and a shrimp basket. All are good. The clams are strips. Occasionally there is a whole belly in there. The waitress asks for what he'd like right after bringing up a fresh basket. All in all, $19+tax+20% tips still is the best fresh fried restaurant seafood value out there. The tartar sauce was home made. I took some to try with my dish, very good. My husband actually felt full before walking out of the restaurant, very rare for a seafood restaurant. I had a fried crab sandwich, very good. My daughter got spaghetti and meatball from the kids menu. They give you a lot of sauce.
