Maps tells me there is a closer one to my house but this location has shown me time and time again what a well run business looks like. Over the years I've had excellent experiences at various Discount Tire locations. This location takes the cake for going above and beyond in serving me as a customer. Awhile back they were not only the one shop that had a special lug nut wrench socket I needed, but they gave it to me free! Most recently they repaired a bad valve stem on my girlfriend's car that was installed by a competitor, and did that for free as well. That kind of goodwill will have me making this Discount location my first choice for tires and wheels in the future! read more

I had a flat today. Discount was close to me so I went to them. I bought 3 tires, two for the rear and a new spare as well. I wanted Cooper tires as their web site showed they had. I was told they did not carry Cooper any more. After a 3 1/2 hour wait I saw the tech who moved my car had messed with an overhead bin and a security camera. One of my tires had to be checked so I took it to Discount Tire and I was very impressed with how organized, smooth and safe everything was! Someone came up to my car door, greeted me and checked me in right away. I parked in their lot until it was my turn-only a few minutes (but you can also schedule appointments online). When they were about to inspect my tire they gave me the option to stay in my car but since the weather was beautiful I waited in their outdoor covered seating. Best experience I've had at a maintenance shop! When you get a flat tire or need a tire repair, it's the absolutely worst. And I was dreading going to get mine fixed. However, Discount Tire crushed it! I made an appointment online and was able to get in within 2 days. I showed up, they took my name, and then guided me to a parking spot to wait. 3 minutes later someone came up to ask about what I needed done and then I went inside to pay. Within 5 minutes I was then guided into the garage (stayed in my car the whole time) for the repairs to be done to my tires. That took a total of 20 minutes. So I spent 33 minutes total and only $450 for 3 new tires! Highly recommend joining their loyalty program and getting a nice tire warranty. Really appreciated their overall service! I went in to Discount Tire to have a nail removed from my tire. There were a few folks waiting for service and the place was relatively busy. The initial greeter took my info and said I was next on the waiting list. I waited 30 minutes and a service writer named David came to take my info again and to tell me it would take 2.5 hours to get me in. I found that hard to believe and I firmly believe they didnt care about my $20 service but would rather put people needing more expensive service ahead of me. I went to a local service shop and in 20 minutes was on my way. I WILL go back to this local shop to buy my tires when I need them. read more

After waiting over 20 minutes to have a slow leak looked at I received a text indicating that the car was ready and when I ask him about it he told me it was obvious that the car was not done. My 93 year old mom lives in Toledo, Ohio. Recently, she started to drive her car and thought there might be an issue with one of her tires. She drove to the Monroe St. store and asked them to look at her tire since she was concerned about being on the road by herself. They were very busy but were able to fit her in and repair her tire for no charge. The store manager, Keith Craigmyle & his crew took very good care of her. I'm always super wary of people who work on my car, so when my tire blew out on 183 last Friday, I was already prepared for an uphill battle. I'm so glad that these guys were in my towing allotment zone, because honestly, I wouldn't have had this experience anywhere else. I usually do a list of pros and cons for my reviews, but this one just needs one paragraph of pros. John was my angel that day (one of three), who went so far above and beyond what typical customer service duty calls for. If not for him, my week leading into pay day would have been miserable and nearly unbearable. It's not often that you find someone who cares and is willing and able to do something about it. Discount Tire of SW Gainesville are so awesome!! They have the absolute best customer service of any car tire store ever, anywhere. And, they saved us, literally. Case in point: Today, a guy from Orlando rented a car and drove here to G'ville to buy our 2017 Honda CRV. It was freshly detailed and ready to go. We had driven it like a China doll to the his branch bank for him, then drove to the local rental car place to pick him up. When we got back to the bank to do the final turnover, Murphy's Law struck like a lightning bolt: the dreaded Honda Tire Pressure Sensor Alert came on. Which had never happened before. On a 13 month old car in mint condition. 2 minutes before going into the bank to finish the purchase. We inflated the tire with a small air compressor, but after we completed the paperwork and returned 10 minutes later, the tire pressure was down by 1.5 PSI. So, there was a slow leak. A brand new slow leak. In the tire. Of the car. That we had just sold. It was literally an EMERGENCY!! The buyer had only 45 minutes spare, and had to get back to Orlando. I told him about Discount Tire and we raced over there from Tower Square. I walked in, found the manager Andrew, explained the emergency, and begged for help. I explained the buyer had to be on the road in 30 minutes, to get home in time. In 30 minutes start-to-finish, they took our newly-sold car, removed the tires, found and pulled the nail, patched the tire, balanced the tire, checked the air on all the other tires, explained the problem, returned the lug key, and reset the Honda TMPS system. Record time. It was fascinating just to watch. I was beyond thrilled. I am forever in their debt. This is like the 5th or 6th time these guys have performed such a miracle for me or my family, and this time there was a huge time pressure crunch, the urgency, the enormity of the situation to me and to this out-of-towner was indescribable. I am forever in their debt. I used to buy tires at Sams and went to Discount once on a recommendation and have been going there ever since. Wouldn't buy tires anywhere else. Not only are their prices better than Sams or Walmart, but their customer service is stellar, plus they have a nice clean lobby, free coffee and professional pleasant service staff. I've been a regular customer of NTB for years, but I didn't feel like driving across town in my (newly) shaking car so I went to the discount tires down the street to get my tires balanced. Easy and quick to make an appointment online. Got here at 1:40 for a 2:00 appointment and they apologized to me for not being able to get started right away. No problem guys, I'm early. They told me to stay in my car and they'd find me. Right at 2:00 Ty came out and checked over my car. He was friendly, professional and quickly identified the issue: a five year old tire that was falling apart. He brought me in for the sales pitch and I mentally braved myself. This was, hands down, the most pleasant shopping experience I've ever had for tires. Instead of trying to up sell me, he was respectful of my request for "middle of the road" tires and showed me multiple options without judgement or pressure and I bought a more expensive tire because of it. A lady in front of me needed a new tire, it had 4 patches on it and was unsafe not to replace. She was very opposed to buying a new one, and while she ignored him on the phone, Thomas chose to give her the tire due to her situation. No thank you, or even courtesy returned. They do not actual repair complete wheels any more. If lug bolts are sheared off go somewhere else. Excepting a few tire hole patches (and that sometimes reluctantly), they really only sell and install simple direct replacements nowadays. I suspect its a time and liability issue with removing damaged parts. But missing lug nut? New tire mount? Not a problem. Nevertheless they need to update their advertisements which specifically says they replace lug bolts. read more

THEY TRIED TO SCAM ME! So I came in because my Tire Pressure Indicator wasn't working and I knew it needed a hard reset. The guy that helped me seemed really nice and started the procedure. In the end he said that 3/4 of my sensors were broken and needed to be replaced. It was going to cost over $160. Also, that my tires needed to be replaced. I was skeptical and said I did not want to at that moment and will come back if necessary. Took my Lex to a different Discount Tire Store and what do ya no. NONE OF MY SENSORS WERE BROKEN. in these stressful times of Covid-19 i had the unfortunate trouble of a nail in my tire.I was on my way to the doctors office for follow up on arm surgery when my low tire warning light came on. So I returned home and took my wife's car. I set up an appointment for 9 am the next day. When i arrived I was taken in immediately.The entire time I was there someone was constantly cleaning the seats doors and counters. I felt safe. I was told the nail did not puncture, it checked and not leaking. My warning light and tire pressure sensors say different. So I drive home( 5 miles) and when i get home the tire is flat. I call the store and they ask me if I can get back to the store. So i air up the tire and headed back. They were very apologetic and said they missed the leak and that it could not be repaired, They replaced my tire free off charge for the inconvenience. In my opinion they went above and beyond to make it right for me.I drive a 2019 Cherokee and only have 9000 miles on it.I will go back to DISCOUNT TIRES when it is time for a new set. Most locations are run like a circus with no regard to your time or money. Do "Not" take your car here with a leak. They will promise to fix it for free but really try to sell you a new set of tires. If you don't bite, they will refuse to put the tire back on the wheel. They also will add "tire insurance" to your purchase without asking if you want it. That has to be illegal and most people don't realize they are paying for an overpriced, prorated insurance policy. read more

I needed all four of my tires replaced the day before going on a road trip. When I arrived at 8am the lobby was completely packed and I expected to be waiting the entire day for my car to be looked at. But I was wrong! I was greeted promptly, my tires were inspected and I left with 4 new tires (including a spare as well) in less than 2 hours. They kept me looped every step of the way, from inspection to picking out tires to knowing when I should come in for my next tire rotation. Highly recommend! read more

I am a huge Discount Tire fan, as their customer service is always exceptional. I stopped in to get my tire aired up, and they took care of that really quickly which was awesome! The only down side is how long it would have taken for them to repair the leak. An air leak is never planned, so most people don't have the time to wait for 18 cars ahead of them to check an air leak. Pretty great place, so there's a reason why everyone goes there and the wait is so long. read more

I had the worst experience at this location, first I bring my vehicle in to get my tire a Yokohama tire Fixed, next thing I know I'm leaving with a totally different brand of tire. When I questioned it everyone seemed to be confused, then they go and say oh I thought so-and-so told you. No no one told me! They were gonna let me leave thinking I had all the same brand tires and I didn't. The manager Nick goes and says oh yeah we thought we had them in stock but we didn't so we just put on another tire for now so we can order your tire you can bring your car back and then will put it back on. Not to mention how long the wait is I got there at 5 o'clock they said I'd be out by 530 I didn't leave out of there till 615. That wasn't a long wait but the timing was incorrect. I went in today to have the correct tire put on when I asked the manager Nick if I had a tire rotation he tells me yes, so I'm heading out the door when the technician gives me my key I ask him about the tire rotation and he says no they didn't rotate my tires. I swear this is the most unprofessional place. The manager after seeing the technician and myself looking at the computer to see if they rotated my tires yesterday goes and says oh I was just checking that also you did not get a tire rotation, you're only at 4000 miles and we recommend 6000 miles, OK OK! But say that from the get go. This place is so unprofessional has no customer service and sucks! I will never come back to this location ever again. read more

This discount tire is ass, called a week ago for one tire and was told they'd have it delivered a week from the day I ordered it. I called the day of it's supposed to arrive and I get told they put it on somebody else's vehicle. I clearly ordered it for MY VEHICLE not somebody else's. Don't recommend calling either. Called 5 times just for them to answer me and next time I get told I'd that they would call me back and 30 minutes pass by with no phone call. I am outraged and this is pitiful at every level. I set up an appointment with them online, which I didn't know you could, for a tire rotation. I arrived a few minutes before my scheduled time. The employees in the front were taking care of other guests. I waited about a minute and then met with one of the employees to drop off my car. I was given an estimate of an hour for my car to be ready. In under 45 minutes, my car was ready and was given a brief breakdown of what they did and had my car ready for me to drive away.
