I had shopped tires and tire stores for several months. I normally use Les Schwab, but after my last visit there, I decided to find a tire shop that would actually give me the time of day. I picked Discount Tire because they had tires that I wanted, however these were discontinued. They recommended other tires and informed me of rebates that helped me pick out a good set of tires for a reasonable cost. A little more than my first choice, but I believe a lot better tire. The installation went fast and smoothly and at one point one of the guys came out to tell me that a tire cap was rusted on and may get scratched/damaged during removal. He did this prior to removing it which was very polite. read more

Their tires are well priced and customer service is great; they're all hustling at this place. They provide free air checks too, which is nice when you have a vehicle with tire sensors that are always lighting up. I had a nail in my tire and they fixed it for free because I bought my tires there, which is awesome. Just don't take your vehicle here on a Saturday, because you'll end up waiting for a very long time. Too many people moving to Boise means not enough services, like tire stores, so there's always a long line at places like this, particularly on the weekend. It's not the business's fault, so just plan to go on a weekday and you'll have less wait time. read more

Showed up within 10min of appointment, waited for available staff while they were helping others. After 20min was waited upon and informed the clerk that I had an appointment, I was told that they didn't show any. he informed me they auto delete after 30min. Lowest price in the valley on the specific tire I was looking for and the only place in town who offered to get it shipped here quick ( 2 days compared to 5-7 days everywhere else I had called). Had a question about services they offered and submitted a question on their website. I expected a response back in maybe 3-4 days, and just a generic scripted answer at that. I was pleasantly surprised when I received a personal phone call from a very helpful employee explaining all services they offered and possible solutions to my dilemma. If you want to go to a tire place that will put a big ol' dent in your bumper then deny it, then this is the place for you. I brought my own tires in to be put on my jeep, which they did a fine job on that. When I got my car back home, we noticed a big dent in the bumper, which we just got the car two days prior, it was not there. We brought the car back to the shop to show the dent to one of the associates, to which he denied that it was caused by the shop. If he would of offered to pull the car into the spot and prove to us the jack was not the cause of it, I would not be leaving this review. They showed no evidence to prove that they did not cause the dent, as we kept explaining how the jack in the shop was in the exact spot as the dent on the car. Think twice about how much you value your vehicle before you bring it here. read more

We had our car towed to this Discount Tire because the tire came off of the rim making it undrivable and it was the closest tire shop. They had to keep the car for a couple days while waiting for the new tire to come in. During this time one of their employees hit our car with his car. Instead of apologizing and trying to make the situation right the manager Michael Vester yelled at me and took no responsibility for the incident. There was no apology ever issued for any inconvenience this has caused us. On top of that he then called back to say they would not fix the tire. They had put on a used tire that "was a little too big" just to get the car out of there. They no longer had any interest in our business. I have been to other Discount Tire shops and always received good service and been treated very well. I have never been treated so poorly by any business especially a manager. I would AVOID this location because they treat their customers poorly and there are other reviews of this same thing happening to others. read more

I was about to head on a road trip and had a slow leak in one of my tires, so after seeing that Discount Tire offers free flat tire repair (regardless of where you bought your tires!), I took my car in to have the tire patched. I was met in the lobby immediately by a manager, who was incredibly friendly and took me out to do a quick inspection of the tread of my tires. When he was done, he walked me through exactly how much tread I had and when I should expect to need a new set of tires (with no pressure at all to buy then or there). When I asked if there was Wifi in the lobby because I needed to work, they instead got my car in right away so it would be done in time that I wouldn't be late to work. I sat in the lobby and enjoyed a complimentary water bottle for the 15 minutes it took them to patch my leaking tire. A technician even came in to show me the screw that was causing the leak. As I was leaving, the manager of the store gave me his number and let me know to call him if I had any tire trouble on my road trip so he could connect me with the nearest store that could help. The service was incredible, and I wasn't even paying them for anything they did -- my visit was all free. I will definitely be back when my car needs a new set of tires. read more

So this was not my first choice as I usually go to Les Scwab and buy my tires. I originally bought tires from them and my TPMS went out so I bought a new set off of Amazon and tried to have les schwab install them. I went and made my payment for the tires I bought there and they said they would install them. So I went today to go get them installed and manager decided that he would not install them. I have bought tires there and numerous other services. I will be coming to Discount Tires now. I drove up and went in, the staff was amazing and awesome. They greeted quickly and I told them I needed my TPMS set installed and the gentleman gave me a quote and he did it. They were quick and fast beyond my expectations. Great customer service and reasonable prices for their services. If you need tires or anything installed give these guys a good look because you just might find some great people willing to take care of your car! Mike and his team at Discount Tire on Overland earned me as a customer for life today. I had to replace four tires on my all wheel drive less than six months ago, because I hit a curb. I wish I had gone to Discount Tire at that time. Here we are, right after Christmas, and my budget didn't include MORE new tires. I ran over a nail, and it can't be patched. I went back to the dealer who sold me the four tires six months ago, with no credit or insurance whatsoever. They were more than happy to take my money again, and of course, with no assurances should I run over another nail. I went on line, talked to friends, checked two other tire companies, and they all were more than happy to take my money, but no-one cared about me as an individual. I needed to spend the least amount possible, and still be safe on the road, and know that if I run over another nail down the line, I've got some sort of assurances. I purchased a set of tires at the Nampa Store. When I purchased the tires they said they rebuilt the tire sensors in my car. Exactly 2 days later the sensors go off. I go to the Overland store and they tell me that they didn't really rebuild the entire sensor and it will cost me approximately $50 per sensor to add batteries, etc. This place is a total RIPOFF. read more

Friendly efficient and honest. I showed up the day after the big snowstorm broke and they were slammed. They were sold out of a lot of tires and were working like mad men. They sold me a reasonably priced pair of tires and had them ready when they said they would. I had to come back the next day because one wheel was out of Balance. They got me in immediately, fixed it and importantly, they admitted they made a mistake. Anyone can mess up especially on a crazy day like Saturday but taking responsibility for their mistake makes me trust them. I'll definitely be back. read more

I was surprised by the older gentleman who fielded my request since he couldn't wait to get rid of me Telling me they did not have any jumper cables and that I was basically SOL. After all I figured going to a tire shop would be a good chance to get help. He acted like he had never heard of someone needing jumper cables. If it wasn't for your employee Javier who witnessed the interaction and stepped in to offer his help with his own jumper cables and truck. He saved the day!!!
