I was 15 min late for my booked appointment and they understandably cancelled it. I was late because I missed the location and my GPS could not help me, pointing at the highway entrance. I had to circle around and find them in a busy plaza that does not have a sign with businesses listed. The lost appointment made me a walk-in, waiting for 2 cars before me, which made me late for my next gig. I started regretting ever coming there, trying to patch things over a phone while being stuck. The owner told me that they would fix my tire as fast as they could. And they did! They fixed it even earlier than I went off the phone with my frustrated counterpart. In addition, they did not charge me a penny. I am definitely coming there next time I need a tire-related service. Although I was on the threshold of a tyre change this time 5/23 there was no pressure from Brian jarrel and he very efficiently and courteously had my tyre fixed. If I donot sell the vehicle this summer I will certainly go there for the tire change. Also the gentleman who looks after air pressure of tyres for all customers did a superb job after checking air pressure recommended I visit the shop inside. Last week I got 2 flat tires within 6 days. Today I got 4 new (much needed) tires and a sense of relief from Discount Tire... I also got a nearly $600 tab so the word 'Discount' seems debatable, to me. Maybe they meant for it to be written in italics or sarcasm font or something? I came here a little after 9am today to get my new treads and there was a line about 3 deep. I waited for maybe 15 before it was my turn and and then prob another 20 minutes went by where they checked out my current tire sitch (NG= Not Good) and showed me some options for new all season tires. They quoted my tire changing times as running about 45 minutes but I think it was actually less than that. I had brought my laptop thinking it would take longer and also thinking they'd have wifi (they don't). Luckily, my gal Dana G lives nearby so she was able to come pick me up and chill for a bit over well caffeinated thoughts. My servicing seemed flawless and i was definitely impressed by their promptness BUT I will say that when I looked at prices yesterday they had a lot more options and a lot better prices shown than when I went to the store. I wouldn't call it bait and switch but just know going in that each store's selection may vary and there's a good chance the one you go to might not have any tires in the more affordable range. Also, if you work a regular 9-5 job ther bankers hours aren't very convenient with being open from 8-6 during the week and 9-5 on weekends. I'm sure it's a packed madhouse on the weekends. Overall, I'm happy to be driving a bit safer with fully functioning (non-flat) tires but I'd prob be much happier if I didn't have to fork over the six hundo in the first place. Purchased 4 new tires on my car. Within 4,000 miles the tires are toast. I was told via phone that this would just be taken care of. I then encountered the general manager of the store when I arrived. I went in and they wanted to charge me more for 2 tires than what I had just paid for the 4 tires. They blamed the "shitty suspension" on my car. I left and took the car to a dealership and had the alignment and all the suspension components checked......everything was fine. They then told me that the dealership and the tech missed something and wanted me to take it to their "preferred" tech. I finally called the tire manufacturer and they made it right. Discount tired charged me additional fees for lifetime balance and rotate and the warranty again. I wouldn't buy anything from this company again. P.S. to discount tire. 15k miles later and my so called "shitty suspension" is still holding up and hasn't destroyed these tires. read more

I carefully selected a couple tires for my garage queen and then gave discount tire a call to see if they had them. They said they would need to order them and I would need to come put a deposit on them, so I went in and put a deposit down. Just about when I got home they called to tell me they couldn't get the tires. When I was on the phone they could get them, when I dropped money off they could get them, but when I left them my deposit all of a sudden they couldn't get them anymore. Next they started trying to convince me that the tires I selected were the wrong size and were unsafe for my car because they weren't the original size. Have you guys never dealt with performance or muscle cars before? All and all I was fed all kinds of false information about what they had, what they could get, and what was safe or not. Best.Service.Ever. I've had a slow leaky tire for months and even the dealership where I bought it couldn't find the problem. I stopped into Discount Tire on Monday morning and was greeted right away. Frank explained they would check it out but there were two cars ahead of me, so he estimated it would take about an hour. I waited in their comfortable, air-conditioned lounge (free bottled water or coffee) and read a magazine. Within 45 minutes, they had found and fixed the problem (tire stem), checked and rebalanced all 4 tires and I was ready to go. NO CHARGE! I would NOT re-visit this location. I stopped in on Friday to have them look at my tires and to make an appointment for replacement. I was told the next appointment time for later the next day which was fine. I ask if we should check if they have my specific SUV tires in stock. I was told "we have tires, that's our business." I should up the next day and they of course only had one option for tires and they were the low end of quality of course. I get the text to pick up my care when it is done, I go over to get my car and the dash is all red because the tires are all low. I tell the guy, he puts more air in but the dash is still red. He says he can't put more than the 33 lbs of air recommend even though they hadn't originally even put that in. He tells me they should fill up as I drive. I drove ten miles and my dash was still red with low fire pressure. So I went to the gas station and filled the tires to 33 and the dash is no longer red! I shouldn't have had to go to the gas station with new tires! read more

Sunday I had to fill one of my tires with over 30 pounds of air and it went flat overnight so on Monday morning I called Discount Tire and was told they were only taking by appointment and they were all filled up for Monday. I asked when the soonest I could get in and was informed Tuesday at 10:00AM. I made an appointment for the leaking tire to be repaired and to have the tires rotated. The person on the phone confirmed the appointment and called me by my first name and said you are all set for tomorrow at 10:00AM. So I arrive about ten minutes early and check in and was told to wait in the car. Shortly the person comes back and says "we don't have an appointment for you so we can't help you". At this point with a tire leaking air and being told you don't have an appointment I start to be not so nice and demand a manager. He leaves and I start talking to the lady next to me and she shares that yesterday the same thing happened to her and she was just as angry. Now 20 minutes have expired and no manager and they start checking the ladies car in but find out she doesn't have the wheel lock key to get the wheels off so she leaves to get the key. Five minutes later after more discussion they tell me to pull in the first bay. I do so and the tech asks me which wheel am I having trouble with and proceeds to take it off. I watch him do so and he disappears to another part of the garage returning much later to replace the tire and give me the two screws that were removed. Nothing said about the tire rotation so I guess it wasn't very important to them. I suppose I have to make another appointment which won't be there when I show up. I have given this business rave reviews in the past but that was under different management. With a Just Tires in walking distance of me I will PAY to have my tires rotated and patronize them in the future. If it weren't for that unfortunate poor lady next to me not having her key I would more than likely have had to pay for fixing my tire. During a second appointment to correct a prior mistake they damaged my car. When picking up my car I immediately noticed a 3" gash in my leather steering wheel. I asked to speak to the person who performed the work on my car & was told he's gone for the day. Then I was told a claim will be filed. I was contacted by Malory, a senior claims specialist. I emailed her pictures of the damage and was told another representative will contact me. A week later and not even an apology. To summarize, I've been a customer since 1996, I went to get a simple tire swap for $21 and waited for 1 hour and 45 minutes on my first appointment. I came here to get my tires checked out after I noticed a nail in one of my tires. Ironically, I'm pretty sure it had occurred earlier in the day when I took my car to my go to store for routine tire and auto checks and had them check my air pressures and refill the air in my tires; I had noticed several large nails in my parking space and in the general area where they had checked my car, and had decided to examine my tires after I left and noticed the nail. I wasn't about to go back there again. I had previously purchased tires from Discount Tires and decided to check if they repaired tires. When the salesperson examined the nail, he told me there was a 50% chance it could be repaired because of it's size and location (I had figured as much from my precursory research earlier). We decided to give it a try. During the wait, I had pretty much resigned myself to the fact that I was going to have to repurchase new tires. Imagine my delight and surprise when they told me that they were indeed able to fix it. The service was extremely fast; they had taken my car in right away, and and fixed it within 15-20 min. DISCOUNT TIRE IN BOLINGBROOK ILLINOIS IS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE FROM THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE TO THEIR CLAIMS DEPARTMENT!!! My Fiancé had dropped the Car off on her lunch to get 4 brand new tires Put on, being as tho they're a "TIRE SHOP" and Alls they work on is Tires, you'd think they could manage that but that didn't happen! My fiancé left the shop thinking everything was good because the "mechanic" told her all is good they gave her an Upgrade which was a total line of BS. What they did was put to big of tires on the car knowing they were not the correct tire!!!! I called the Bolingbrook Store after getting a call from my Fiancé saying the tires were Smoking, I asked for a manager he said he was the Manager Doug Holcomb. Well this Shitbag of a manager informed me he knew they put the wrong size tires on because they didn't have the correct tires in stock!!! I informed him they Damaged the wheel wells, he informed me that they would "Foot the Bill" and They would Refund our money back along with pay for the damage they had caused!!! I called for an appointment and the person answering the phone told me to come in they had a 45 minute wait so I asked him to put me down. I came in in 40 minutes and now they told me it is an hour and a half wait. To add to the issue even further when speaking with the Manager Brandon he said his employees did nothing wrong and it was poor communication that led to me waiting. The funny part Is he didn't say it was poor communication on his employees part I should have had no expectation of not waiting even though I called. I could understand where they made a mistake in the way they communicated but that is not what even bothers me. What bothers me is not taking ownership of the mistake and trying to make think it is was me. I have a flat and have to go out of town tomorrow or I easily would just leave for another place. Being polite and giving good service does not cost anything. He did find a used tire that would work for my Mercedes, so I purchased the used tire, they put it on and I was on the road for my 1 1/2 hr ride home. They stand behind their product and are usually good with their time estimates. l make my appointment online and they usually take care of me at the appointment time.
