Wow, if every place had customer service like this place did, I would probably hate people less than I usually do. I picked this place based on the reviews on Yelp and placed my appointment on their website. I also did my research and picked out the tires I wanted during the process, which made it much easier instead of being unprepared when I arrived at my appointment. When you pick your tires on their website, you also get the cost, so you know what to expect once you go in. Right when I stepped into Discount Tire, everybody was very friendly and I think Doug(?) was the one that helped me (think Old Spice commercial guy). Anyway, to be honest, I also really liked this place because they kept the inside very cool and air conditioned; Georgia weather has been miserably hot and some places get really cheap with their A/C. I swear, as I was walking to the entrance of Discount tire, I wiped the sweat off my upper lips and it felt like I wiped off my "mustache" like it had Nair on it. So usually, the wait time for changing tires is around 45 minutes, but they got mine done in about 25, which is a huge plus because I didn't want to sit around and pick my nose any longer (just kidding). Plus, they have a seating area in front of a glass window so you can see the employees working on your car. FYI, this place can get packed. People usually see that as a con, but come on, if that many people are coming here, this location is doing something right. read more

I guess I must have STUPID on my forehead. I was just told I may get 10k more miles out of my tires I paid 1k for in March of last year. So I asked what's the purpose of the 60k warranty if all I'm getting is prorated? I was told at purchase If ANYTHING happens within that period it would be taken care of. NITTO said none of that is true and Discount Tire wants me to pay $500 if I want a new set! Not in this lifetime. Very misleadng. I'm surprised I stayed calm and will go through the proper channels to get satisfaction. I would've came out better buying new tires off eBay if they don't honor a warranty. The customer service here is crazy good! You can tell these guys have been trained on good service techniques- friendly greeting upon entering the store, free tire rotations and thoughtful interaction when answering your questions. I buy all my tires here for all my vehicles because their prices are reasonable and the service is fast. You don't feel that you're being taken advantage of here, as opposed to other places. I came here with a slow leak in one of my tires and Stephen took care of me, patching it up so I didn't have to drop coin on a single new tire today. This earned my business for my next four. Great pricing and good timing. I'm only giving 3 stars due to my 2 experiences here. The first time I walked in, I was completely ignored. Keys in my hand and everything. I guess the distracting factor was that my father walked in with me. The guy at the counter ignored me, and after waiting for him to finish with a customer, he doesn't acknowledge me, but does so to my dad. He continued to talk solely to my dad...I was there for my car and my father's car. I paid for tires for both of us. When it came time for payment, he once again asked my father about it. Ummmm excuse me....the person you ignored the entire time, the chick over here is the one with the money. Long story short, I came back because they have great pricing. I made an appointment but I was running late I called them and they said that there wouldn't be any hold up and I'd still have a great turn around time. I had to go to work right after the rotation and stuff. I arrive, their busy. When I was getting taken care of my wait time was an hour and a half (so much for that alleged great turn around i was promised on the phone), the lady next to me who arrived later than I did, who kept pushing about how important she needed her car done ASAP, was quoted at 45 minutes...why! I arrived 1st and you already put in my information. I drive a coupe, that lady rides and Escalade! In my mind her car would take longer due to size alone (idk) but isn't there a queue system anyway? I went to get my tires rotated. Found a nail in the edge of a tire sideways and not through it. It wasn't leaking. All of a sudden the tire started leaking even though it was fine before. They also scanned my tires and said 3/4 needed to be replaced. I asked them to rescan and "the machine misread" the first time. Long story short, I ended up needing a new tire I did not need originally and my tires never got rotated. Don't come here. They will scam you! read more

My son had a tire blow out on his truck. The tow truck driver ignored his wishes and towed it here. He was told that his tire would be $70. When he arrived to pick it up, they had changed THREE of his tires without his ok. He had to get to work, so wound up having to give them over $400 to get his truck back. They are obviously getting some kind of kickback from the towing service. Do not do business with these crooks! read more

I checked around at local shows for comparable pricing when I first moved to town, and Discount Tire had the best price for the services offered. Every time I have shown up or called, they've been friendly and professional, and I walk away (or hang up) feeling confident in the answers I received. I also just had the most *painless (free/included) tire rotation of my life. I showed up just after they opened, was met outside by a gentleman who checked my car in, accepted my keys, and asked me to wait inside. Just one question (asked for my phone number on the account), confirmed I just needed a rotation, and everything else was handled for me. My receipt was emailed, a copy provided to me, and I was out the door again before I could finish the work tasks I had set aside for the wait. Excellent service, excellent customer service, and I still think an excellent price on the tires I purchased. *At other tire places, I have had odd demands placed on when I could come in or have had to wait until paying customers were services first. read more

I have been going to the store for over a year now. I bought a set (4) of Yoko for my daughters 2012 genesis couple. Don't like the tires, almost no grip on wet surfaces. However, the service and management teams are spot-on. They seem to be concern about provide you professional service, reliable advice and superior products. Just add wifi. Had my tires rotated a few weeks ago. After I left, I noticed the ride was off and didn't feel right. When I got home and let the tires cool I checked my air presssure. They had over inflated all tires by 10 psi. My tires should be 35 psi all year round. Don't think I will return to this place. read more

I had A tire that needed to be plug, they told me it would take two hours...three hours later I called it still wasn't ready told me it would be 30 more minutes... another HOUR went by. Really disappointed in today's service. Have a simple quick balancing issue. Arrived at 2:30p for a 3p appointment. Clerk stated I should be leaving at 4. It's after 4 and my vehicle still hasn't been pulled into the bay. I understand that they are busy but a lady who had an appointment at 3 and arrived at 315 has her vehicle in the bay and is being worked on. Also they have 6 bays, but have 3 of them filled with tires, so that's waisted service times as well. Just really disappointed as I usually consider them to be better a what they do than others. When this store first opened, I really enjoyed dropping my vehicle off there. People were incredibly friendly (and they still are); however, the quality of the work has dropped significantly. I had four tires put on my truck and they left the greenish lubricant on my wheels, only to cover up several places on one wheel where they scratched the rim. Also, in recent months and as recently as this week, they rush to "just get the job done" and the job is not getting done properly resulting in additional trips to try and resolve a continued problem. Suggest that the management team can a handle on quality vs quantity if you want to keep good loyal customers like me that has purchased 4 sets of tires from you over the past three years. read more

I would never buy another tire from that store! I went in just to have my tire fixed because it had a small nail in it. They said they couldn't fix it it was too close to the sidewall. But we are more than willing to sell me a $300 tire. I may have been born at night but it certainly wasn't last night. I worked on tires for five years myself! I have a 2003 Infiniti G35 Coupe that is heavily modified. I called Discount Tire to see if they had the tires I was looking for. Spoke with one of the sales associates(Doug) who said he would be happy to order the tires I needed. Within a hour he called me back saying the tires had already arrived and they would be happy to install them same day. At first I was skeptical about letting a shop put tires on my Volk wheels. The guys at Discount assured me they could handle it no problem. Sure enough they had my tires ordered, delivered, and installed in the same day for a price that beat the compition in every way. The sales associates in the store (Nate and Daniel I believe) were both extremely helpful and friendly, also they took excellent care of my car and my wheels. I came over because Kauffman Tire became a train wreck after the Mavis buyout (both physical appearance and service quality) and a friend in the auto repair business (not tires) said this location had the best tire service in all of Atlanta, while being well-priced. It was an incredibly positive experience. They'll beat any price out there, and even though the line was to the door, I had made my reservation online, so it was less than 90 minutes from the time I walked in the door to the time I was driving off the lot with 4 new tires. More realistically, from the time I picked my tires and walked off the lot for lunch (and they were taking my key), to when I was texted that my tires were mounted and ready was just 25 minutes! Incredible. I observed that their service pit was a testimony to efficiency engineering and solid work processes. Most importantly, the staff seemed to actually like working there. They even honored my tread life warranty from Kauffman, which still had 30K miles left on it even though the tires were totally worn out. They took $41 off each tire on top of the low price. My only complaint was that the actual tire I wanted from their online advertising was not in stock at the store and the online way of ordering while appointment setting was super ambiguous. I still wish I'd gotten those tires, but am content that my service technician pointed me to good ones. I doubt I will ever have tires done anywhere else. read more

Brought my car in because the tire pressure monitor light came on..they were very friendly here, and my tire was able to be repaired after they pulled a screw out..in the event it wasn't fixable, they checked to see if my same tire was in stock, which it was. I asked if it would be advantageous to replace 2 tires and I was told that since the tires were in good condition it wouldn't be necessary. How nice was it not to be ripped off!! Yesterday, I went up to my local Discount Tire to get wheels and previously ordered tires installed on my 2003 Mustang. I have been going to Discount Tire for years for all my cars: Jeep Liberty, Hyundai Sonatas, Hyundai Elantra and now, my Mustang. Up until yesterday I never had an issue. But by the time they got to me they realized that they didn't have the wheels I wanted in stock. Somebody had put the old wheels of a previous sale erroneously back on the shelf in the same box as the ones I wanted. The salesman immediately tried calling around to the other nearby stores. He located four in the Cummings, GA store. They would get a courier to bring them over that day. So I sat down for 1 1/2 hours. When I thought it should be there, I went back up to the sales man and he called the Cumming's store; "the courier picked them up twenty minutes ago, and said that they should be here shortly". So I sat for another two hours. No courier. That is when the store manager, John Nottingham, came over and profusely apologized for all that had transpired so far. He called the courier company, and when he found out that they would not be delivering the wheels to the next day he looked at me and said, "I'm going to do the right thing". He offered me much better wheels and tires. Honestly, being retired and on a fixed income now, it was a combination that I wouldn't be able to afford. I thought that he might make me a "good deal" on the upgrade. Nope! He said that he would honor the earlier agreed upon deal I had made for the other wheels and tires. "I'm sorry, you should never have had to wait for as long as you did", he said. This is why I always come here. My Hyundai dealer, also very good, has tried to sell me new tires for my Sonatas. They'll even match the price. But why would I go anywhere else? My Discount tire has it all: great selection, great prices,a really great staff, and store manager second to none. But most importantly they have something that is sadly disappearing in today's world; excellent customer service. They realize that it is more important to make a customer for life than a quick fast sale. This is why they have been around since 1960! Oh, and one final thing. I wasn't asked to give them a good review on social media, which is all too common today. All John Nottingham said was, "Again I'm sorry for you having to wait around all day.
