My boyfriend I came to this location today, after a very bad experience at a different buford location. As soon as we came in Michelle was so friendly and welcoming. She turned our whole day around. She took great car of us, and our car. She kept us up to date and informed on everything that was done. She wanted to make sure they finished today. Blade worked on our car and did such a good job. Both Michelle and Blade stayed way past close to get our car finished. Other shop's would have stopped and finished the next day. I would def recommend this location. I scheduled an appointment online with Mavis for an oil change for my Honda. The appointment time was 2 pm and I arrived before. I wasn't finished and driving my car out of their location until almost 4 PM. If they had told me that it would be over a 2 hour wait I wouldn't have had my oil changed there. I sat there in Mavis with no one coming to tell me anything in regards to the status of my car. Will I go back? No, I won't because I can go anywhere and have my oil changed in 30-45 minutes. Cant even believe i have to get on Yelp and write this review to begin with. Took my car in on 11/28/2020 for an oil change and tire rotation. In the middle of the rotation they bring come out to speak to me and bring a worn down brake pad with them. Told me something was wrong with my caliper and is was wearing down only 1 brake. I dont have the money to fix it at the time so we tell them we arent going to do the brakes today. Fast forward to Monday 11/30/2020. I drop the car off Lanier tire in Cumming for brakes. They call me and tell me my brakes are practically brand new and their is no issue with a caliper. I feel BAMBOOZLED!!!!!!! what kind of SCAMMERS work at Mavis ??????????????? BAD BUSINESS! When you call store, the prompt for new tires takes you to inbound call center. Agent was very pleasant and easy to understand, however, didn't provide correct details of ongoing Promo. Called 2pm day prior to Thanksgiving, agent said he could have tires to store by 3pm. Didn't want the team to work late the day prior to Holiday. Showed up at store at 7:50am day after Turkey Day, mgr didn't get me into bay first, which I thought was odd since I was there 1st. Waited 3 hours for 4 tires and alignment. TV not working in lobby, lobby in poor shape and not suitable in my opinion, not a nice waiting area. That's besides the point. About 20miles on new tires (same day), sensor comes on and get flat tire on 985. Called store, mgr (Steve) said he couldn't help, would try next day to repair tire. I insisted on getting another new tire since I just drove on freeway with flat tire. Called back to store, needed to have someone come from store with floor jack, Steve said he would send someone. Guys showed up 30min later and assisted with removing tire. Didn't take Rim/Tire with them, didn't have room in mustang. Told them I would see them in morning. 8am next day, called store spoke with Steve. "Tire not in", not sure when it would arrive, best he could do is to call me when it gets in. Called customer service with Mavis, spoke with agent, took information and said he was placing me on brief hold. Call disconnected after 25min, no call back. 9:30am, Steve from store called, said tire was in. Told him I could come over. Arrived at store, Steve provided no assurance or apologies for ordeal. Said he would get someone on the tire when free. Asked him how long this would take, went into shop, returned with 10-15min before someone could get on it. At this point, had to voice my frustration of no urgency and I'm just in the que. About 30min later, noticed guys struggling with how to put spare back underneath truck. Went to shop and told the guy I was tired of waiting and just put in bed of truck. Didn't have another all day to waste after $1500 for 4 tires. Tire sensor on display still visible on dash, associate said it would go away after 4-5 miles. Well, still on dash. Um, yes, you can say, completely done with Mavis. Actually "No" customer service from corp culture down to store level. Day of installation, overheard Steve berating female agent on customer service skills and for arriving late to work. Several conversations with female in the 3hrs I was waiting. This guy should not be in management and female agent seems to be struggling and needs more support & training. Was I offered discount or anything for my troubles??? You know the answer. I was expecting more effort, not a lot to ask for, lots of tire companies out here, no effort was given to accommodate. read more

I had Mavis do $800 worth of work and new tires in Sept. I had no reason to remove a tire until now or brakes. 2 separate businesses told me Mavis used too much torque all the lugnuts have to be replaced, around $200. I reached out to Mavis they won't make it right. They could've had repeat customers who doesn't mind paying for good work but I will never go back and tell everyone they shouldn't, they don't back up the work. It's only right thing to do. They also tried to charge my elderly dad twice, he paid when we left it, then tried to get him to pay again when picked up. Bad business ethics. read more

I had a great experience here. I had just gotten new tires from another Mavis, but their system for resetting the TPMS was down so I called this Mavis. They informed me that they were booked through the day, but they'd still get me in if I wanted to come in. So I came in, waited for maybe 30-45 minutes for them to get the car in(which was no big deal), then they checked out my car, replaced my sensor, and got me out of there in maybe an hour and a half, two hours tops. Again, that's nothing considering they were booked up. The guys up front were super friendly, and told me I could come back the next day since I called and told them my TPMS indicator light came back on. Thankfully it went back off but they were ready to reset it when I needed it! I definitely recommend them. read more

A couple weeks ago I was about an hour away from home and I got a flat tire. I am a female in my 20s and do not know how to change a tire. Luckily I was able to make my way to their store, where I was greeted and helped right away. The part that they needed for my car, to take the bolts off, was at a different location and they had someone bring it over immediately. They were extremely helpful and super nice. If you wanna be fleeced by a quick lane oil change type of place then this is the business for you. Wanna have unnecessary and expensive services that you didn't ask for done to your car then this is the place for you. My wife took it for an oil change and 5 point inspection that our regular place does for 39 (49 without coupon) and tire rotations. There was a coupon for a free tire rotation and a 10 discount for the oil change. So the guy totally ignores the tire rotation service, proceeds to start an expensive tuneup service when all we wanted was an oil change (which costs 64 here with no extras, just oil and filter) If my wife hadn't gone and asked them what they where doing they would have proceeded to continue to do whatever they wanted in order to upsell unnecessary "services" I was on the phone with her while this was going on and apparently there was a line of angry customers demanding their vehicles back. In the meantime they present my wife a bill for 154 dollars when the service should have cost no more than 45 dollars, that is if the even changed the oil at all. At the end they didn't even run the codes to address the light she was asking about (again, nothing AT ALL to do with steering wheel) and didn't even bother to reset the code nor rotate the tires.
