This location is legit. The customer service is outstanding and the price is fair. Our first experienced there we had a tire with low pressure and they found debris in and repaired at no cost. I thanked the guy and asked what the cost would be and he said no cost, just come see us when you need new tires. I did just that for our other vehicle. Being a car guy I'm always nervous about bringing my vehicles in for service / tires. These guys quickly eased my concerns as they were very easy to talk to and super nice. I asked for a more experienced tech and they gladly obliged. Impressively, they work in teams of 2 or more to knock out your vehicle in under an hour. The shop is clean and everyone I spoke to was professional. The customer service was very good while I was there getting 4 new tires. However, I went the next day to our local Mechanic to have the alignment checked, and was told that 1 of the 4 tires was the wrong size for my car! Very inconvenient for me to go back and have the tire changed, really disappointed! read more

I purchased a set of tires for my Yukon XL from this location back in January. I got a great deal on tires and terrific service that day. This week, I needed to get my tires rotated and balanced. When I called the Buford location to set up an appointment, they didn't have a time available that would work for my schedule. Pete, the young man who answered the phone, offered to check another location for me and actually set up my appointment at another Discount Tire! That is above and beyond Second Mile service! Went on their website, selected tires, and picked an appointment time. Had to pick 2-days out so they would have the tires in-stock. My expectation is they would have everything ready at appointment time, within reason, similar to making a restaurant reservation. NO. First guy looked it my info and only then did they expect me. In the middle he handed me off to someone else so he could go argue with another employee. Then I was told they only had one tire but they would go look for my tire order. The employee came back and I was told they did not have the tires but would make me a deal on a better tire. I left and went to a competitor down the street. While buying tires from the competitor I received a telephone message saying they found the tires. I did not respond and bought the tires from the competitor. This store needs to get with the 21-Century or get rid of online appointments/ordering. read more

This is the fourth time I have done business with Discount Tire and I will continue to go there. I made an appointment online and had zero issues when I went in. They had me done earlier than expected. I only needed one tire but he tried to find me a used tire since I am planning to go back for a full set. I came to the store to get one of my tires repaired, and damage was inrepairable.Staff looked for options within my budget, and in no time I was able to leave the store with four new tires at very affordable price. Be wary of warranties, The sales reps and managers will not want to honor them right away and may require a call from corporate. The Manager on duty (Ben) told us different information about tread coverage than was (written plainly) on the warranty, and didnt produce a warranty claim sheet for us. Also, they filled my Tire pressure to 28 all the way around causing uneven wear when they were supposed to be 37. the General manager (Doug) was very unwelcoming and made very little effort to accomodate the warranty, and thats after corporate was called. Corporate is super nice and understanding, which cleared everything up and the warranty was enforced. I think it may just be this location, but beware. read more

i have purchased my last tire from discount tire. twice i have gone in to purchase more tires from them, and they always have credit card reading errors, the first time declined 3 or 4 times then it fianally works, that was for about a 400.00 total....then today went in for another tire and same thing, declined twice the manager doug called in to see if there was an authorization code posted and there wasn't, so he blamed it on the bank, i then stated .... what happens when i talk to the bank and they shuck the problem back to them, which they did, my card worked at the bank fine...so based on past experience with the card reading errors i will not be placed in the middle with the problem, it is now their problem.....no more tire purchases from them...plenty of other places to buy tires... paul read more

No stars at all, I called and asked for a specfic tire for my car, Taylor who answered the phone said they did not have it but that he "could get that today". When I did not hear back from them "that day" I called at lunch the next day to get an update. Joe told me that the tire would not be there for 4 more days. Needless to say I was unhappy and when I explained that I was told it would have been in the previous day I was asked if they could look in to it and call me back. When they called back I was told that the tire was ordered from TN. and I should have known there was going to be a delay because "it's the holidays" Last time I checked December 30th is NOT a holiday, and I disliked the condesending attitude of Joe. When I asked for them to refund my deposit I was told I had to come into the store even though they were capable of taking my cc# over the phone for the deposit. I got to the store and Joe informed me I did not have to come up there after all they could have refunded my deposit over the phone and Taylor swore he did not say he could have the tire "that day" when I ordered it. John was/is the only person up there with any sort of customer service training, he apologized and took care of my refund no problems. Doug, the store manager wouldn't even talk to me. Today I got a follow up call from my phone call to the regional ofice from Jeff, another employee that has no customer service skills, while I was explaining the problem, he kept saying uh-huh and just making that uh-huh,uh-huh every few seconds. I don't even think he was listening to my complaint. I was able to go up the road to Kauffman tire order the tire and they had it in the next day, and installed it, $25 cheaper than Discount Tire. I would stay as far away from this company as possible they treat their female customers like they are idiots. read more
