I purchased Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires for my Lexus from Discount Tire and, after a few days, decided they were just too noisy. I stopped back at Discount Tire and they offered to credit the full amount for the tires towards any other brand I wanted, waiving the mounting and balancing fees as well. Very impressive. Also, while I was there, someone came in with a flat tire and they offered to fix it for free, saying they repair all tires that are repairable for free. Also Impressive. The sales people were very friendly and never pressured me to sign up for tire warranties or anything. I would purchase tires from them again in the future. read more

I was looking for a tire shop to get my ire patched on yelp and came across Discount Tire store In Cary had lots of positive reviews so I decided to go there. I have to say that this was a great choice. Everyone was very friendly and professional. They signed me in and took my info. The place was very clean both in the customer area as well as the shop floor. It took all but about 30 minutes for them to patch my tire. And the best surprise was that it was all free!!! I've used these guys in the past for one of my other cars and they did a good job and treated me well. This time however I got the impression that I was bothering the person at the shop. He never gave me a receipt or any info about the mail in rebate offer or how to redeem it. When I asked about it he sighed and handed me what seemed like a copy of a copy of a copy. The print was so small to begin with that I would need a magnifying glass to read it. When I asked him if the rebate request could be performed online he shrugged. Wasn't thrilled with experience. I only gave 3 stars because they were able to do the job quickly for me. If not for that I probably would have left altogether. read more

This is the first time I have ever done business with a tire shop. The experience is not bad. My front left tire was blown away when I was drving to Apex NC on the Thankgiving. My friend helped me to mount the spare tire. I had to wait the next day,and this shop is open on the Frdiay , not far way. I told the guy what happened, the car type and year, and I got the correct tire. After paying my bill, it was done in less 30 minutes. Quite fast. At first, I was afraid that I had to change the wheel as well, because it was rubbed away a bit, but the shop buddy checked it and believed it should be ok. That is good. read more

I was in on a Saturday and was looking for a quote on new tires not expecting them to get me in that day. But, they not only gave me a quote but had several in stock options for me and said they could be done in an hour. I was pleased and walked across the street had lunch and my tires were done and at a fair price. Purchased a set of tires and wheels at this location in April 2015 and in June discovered a flat due to a bad valve stem. Joe and Anthony were great and put a new tire on at no cost. When installing the new tire they checked all other tires and found another with a bad valve stem and they replaced the stem on that one. I got a nail in my tire so after I left work I decided that even though it was late in the day I'd try to get it taken out and a patch put on. Discount Tire not only fixed it but did it for free and in less than an hour!!!! First, let me say I've done many transactions with these guys. It pains me they deserve a slap up-side the head! In a nutshell, they scratched my door and chipped my rim. Not much you can do but their carelessness​ and casual​ response have me looking for an alternative shop. I had a real bad experience here. One of my tire was in bad condition and and went here to replace. They checked all tires and suggested to replace two of them and I agreed for that. After coming home i just inspected the tires and realized, they replaced the good tires !!!.. Completely worn out tires were still there.. Luckily i noticed and got it replaced, otherwise my life would have been danger. After sometime I noticed some waring symbols about tire pressure monitoring system. I went back again to check this. Now they are saying the sensors gone and need another 70$ to replace those. It was all fine till i replace the tires. read more

The guys that work here are PHENOMENAL. My girlfriend and I have been in Discount Tire twice by mishap--the first time she hit a curb and they replaced the tire completely and the second time we ran over a nail--they patched it up. No questions, no problems, just awesome customer service. Seriously, I've never bought tires here, but after seeing how awesome they've been with her... I will be getting my tires here from now on and I need a new set. I cannot say enough good things about how nice the guys that work here are. They remembered us on the second trip in even though it had been over a month and a half and were extremely polite. I really can't believe how great the customer service has been at this place. I had been using this place a couple of times for various cars, as they had always been quite helpful in the past. Also, the location is convenient to where I work, and I had been recommending it internally in our organization. What I needed done was to have the two rear tires replaced on a set of wheels that I brought them. The tires had been ordered from Discount Tire Direct online, so I figured it was only fair to give Discount Tire some more business. I informed them of the circumstances; that it was a car that meant a lot to me, and that the wheels were a part of that. What I ended up with was multiple scratches in the finish of both rims. It was very upsetting to me, and the installer was very apologetic. I realized that accidents do happen, so even as upset as I was, I felt the need to keep my composure, and asked to talk to the manager on duty. The manager informed me that they would let their subsidized wheel repair business handle the damage, and assured me that I would be contacted to set up an appointment for a repair. This never happened. I was never contacted. I contacted the store again by phone and in person, and each time I was given the same information; that the wheel repair business would contact me. The unfortunate install happened on 05/15/2015, it's now 2.5 months later, and I haven't been contacted by anyone, or offered any kind of compensation -- not even a reimbursement of the install fee. A business is only as good as its service when things go wrong. I can no longer recommend this place, and actively send people to other locations. read more

Now I'm not going to play the girl card, because honestly I think they would have done this to anyone, but a girl friend and I took her tire down there to get patched. I'm no automotive genius, but my husband was a mechanic, so I'm not brainless either. They took her tire and said they'd call when it was ready. Instead, a half an hour later they called and tried to tell her that they couldn't patch it, and she'd need to buy a new tire. I said bull, and we went back down there this time with my husband tagging along. I wanted them to explain how a simple patch job was impossible. After a few minutes of banter it came out that it was "company policy" to not patch it, and that they would not be responsible for warrantying the patch job. If it was company policy, don't you think that would have come up when we dropped it off and asked them to patch it? Sounds a little fishy to me. They did end up patching the tire, and didn't charge her, but I wonder how many other people they've played that bit on. I've had good experiences with other Discount Tires in the past, but I have to say that left a less than gleaming impression. read more

Ordered tires online, stated 3 day delivery. Made appointment for 5 days. Day before, Matt left a phone message to call him. Called back. Waited 10 minutes for them to find Matt. Then someone answered "who are you are waiting for?" I said Matt. Then waited another 10 minutes, then same thing: "who are you waiting for..." So I said I have an appointment next day at 3PM, but Matt left message for me to call back. They said ok, will give Matt the message. See you tomorrow at 3. I arrived on time on Wednesday, but tires were not in. I complained about the above, but was told will be notified when tires arrive. Tires arrived, and I returned next day, Thursday, 12:30. Was told it would take 3 hours, and they would call as soon as it was done. I waited around until 4:15, couldn't wait any longer, so I called. They said tires were done. I arrived to find my file was under about 10 others, so was done for a long time. I asked why they didn't call me when was done. Matt said they don't call when text was requested. I said I did not request text, did not receive text, or phone call. Matt said "ok, no problem". And that was it. No further explanation or any attempt at apology. read more

Went in to rotate tires and was told that two of the tires needed to be replaced at $148.00. When I questioned the fact that that I had only used 16,000 of 40,000 miles on these tires I was told that that was a manufacturer warranty - not theirs. Apparently Discount Tire doesn't stand behind the products they sell. It was only after I had questioned the mileage issue that, all of a sudden, I was told that I would get a mileage credit and the price would be $76. VERY DISHONEST. Had I not questioned I would have paid $148.00. It was also inferred that I didn't get good wear because I purchased an entry level tire!!!! I found this to be very condescending - they would never say this to a man. I spoke to the manager about all of this and felt that he could care less. I then called their regional office in Charlotte and spoke to a VP that agreed with my issues but, in the end, did not offer any solutions - at least to say that he would look into it. Ladies, go somewhere where your business is appreciated and the company stands behind the products they sell. read more

They made appointment to mount balance and install my tires but when I showed up for appointment they wouldn't mount my used tires because they were 'to old.' Tires don't have an expiration date... After the place I bought the tires ~2yrs ago literally ditched me refusing to repair my flat tire and refusing to give me an adjustment for prematurely worn tires, I went to this Discount Tire location.
