Thomas Stanton Manager at Discount Tire at Garners Ferry Road is more than just an awesome manager but he is also an excellent ambassador of good will. We are from Charleston visiting Columbia when we brought our car to Discount Tire yesterday with a flat tire. We were promised the tire would be replaced and ready today Saturday. Thomas called me earlier today and said unfortunately the the tire did not arrive and we would have to wait until Monday. But he also said he would personally drive me to Charleston tonight so we would not be stranded. I was so touched by Thomas Stanton's kindness. Ran some errands came out of a store and noticed I'd picked up a nail. Went back was met outside and asked "What's wrong? " Keys taken and logged right in! The staff of this discount tire really are exceptional with their work and customer service. I needed two tires replaced and after calling around to a few local shops, most did not have the size tire that I needed which required trips to their warehouses. Discount tire had the size I needed along with multiple brands to choose from available in store. They fitted us in within 45 minutes and had the tires replaced in less than 30. Andre as the first point of contact at the shop assisted us on quotes, breakdown of costs and scheduling the service. His customer service is well worth returning to. In South Carolina under military orders and noticed one of the tires in my rental car had a slow leak. Checked around the area and this place has 5 star ratings everywhere online. So after work I drove over, and was greeted and taken care of right away. They offered complimentary water and coffee and seriously took less than 15 minutes to fix my tire. On top of that, free of charge! Ron and Watson are AWESOME!! I'm going to be telling everyone I know that lives in this area to only go to this place for their tire needs from now on! I was traveling from Augusta back to Charlotte this past Friday afternoon, Jan 6. The winter storm was moving in and the area was expecting a lot of ice on the roads. As I was driving thru Columbia my tire blew out. I put on my spare and did a search on the phone for Discount Tire. I bought my tires 2 months earlier at the Discount Tire in Charlotte. I walked into the store and explained my situation and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They did not have the tire in stock that I need so they installed a loaner tire so that I could get home that evening. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes and made it home before the roads got bad. The following week the local dealer ordered and installed my new tire. The Charlotte location is great too! Ran off the road and flatten two tires on the driver side (watched and listened as the air hissed out). Called AAA (love them), had them tow my 2016 Ford Fusion to the Discount Tire near my home. I told the CS agent what happened, he checked the system, found my profile and said "No problem sir, we can replace with 2 new free tires" (he hadn't even seen the tires yet, love this road hazard warranty). 30 minutes later back on the road. After 7 years it was time to replace my tires. When I arrived, CSR Jordan greeted me outside. I was surprised that they actually come to greet you instead of waiting inside the store. He patiently showed me all tire options and listened to my concerns. We ended up ordering some tires and scheduled an appt for the next day. One of the BEST customer service experiences I've ever had! To be honest, I chose Discount Tire simply because of the name, as I was looking for a budget-friendly fix. When I arrived I was greeted kindly by everyone there. The place was new, clean, and welcoming. Well, as welcoming as a tire store can be :) The customer service was excellent and they made what I expected to be a stressful experience something positive...so much that I felt compelled to write a Yelp! review about.
