My plan: bike ride; my car's: flat tire fix. Guess who wins? So I came here, where I always go for tires. Their prices are right and they fix them for free. Even so, I had not planned to do a review--just wasn't feeling it--until their awesome and friendly customer service compelled me to do it. Never in my life had I met such a warm, friendly staff. They made me feel like a long lost friend. They fix tires for free. So if you had a chronic leaky tread come here. Right in the door I was greeted with a smile. No waiting, he walked out with me and checked for leaks. Sure enough he found a screw, no doubt pick-up during one of my cars intimate trysts with the pot holes of Columbus. Inside he check his records and ask if I would like them to be rotated, a service for free I was entitled from buying the tires here. I accepted, was told it would be 45- minutes, and took a stroll through the Sawmill asphalt desert. I came back 45-minutes later and sure enough the job was done. The clerk went through everything they did: removing rust from the wheel, patching the tire, inspecting for damage, ect. When I went out the mechanic was also super friendly, going over once again what they did, and showing me the tire for verification. In all, fixing the leak and rotation cost me nothing. Good, inexpensive place IF you know about cars and tires. If not, BEWARE. My kid had an entire wheel stolen. One of the back wheels. Each back tire had about 30,000 miles on them. The fronts had about 15,000 miles and were purchased at this same Discount tire. All 4 Falkens. I got a salvage rim and my wife and kid took the car to discount tire to get 2 new tires on the salvage rim and on the other back rim. And to balance and rotate the fronts to the back. Put the new tires on the front. All the same Falken tire. Discount tried to sell them 2 USED Cooper tires to replace the ones with only 15,000 miles on them. I find this to be incredibly unethical. I know that some of these places upsell. Fine. But to make the tire condition on the car worse? For an additional $127? Fortunately we held firm and did only what we requested. Also have to note that they were hard selling the warranty coverage too. And trying to sell her a new tire since she unfortunately mentioned that it had been repaired. It had a small screw in it that was easily repaired. Tire places don't do this to me. Why try to take advantage of a woman and a kid? Hard selling of unnecessary things. Stand firm. I had a great experience at Discount Tire. The treading on a tire of mine was really getting low, so I chose the tire I wanted to buy and scheduled an appointment online for a Saturday afternoon. Upon arriving, the place was very busy and I was a bit nervous I would be spending my entire day there. The couple in front of me were told it would be 2 hours before their car was done. However, since I had an appointment, they quickly got everything taken care of and I was out in a little less than 30 minutes! The guys there were really friendly and I have no complaints. We had the winter tires on my wife's SUV exchanged for summer tires at Discount Tire recently. This is a relatively simple thing to do, but a different brand of car service center managed to screw it up two years in a row. Our experience with Discount Tire was far better. We booked our appointment on-line a few days in advance, dropped the car off and ran a few errands. The SUV was ready in less than an hour (as the manager said it would be.) The final bill was about half of what we'd paid in previous years as well. I've learned my lesson and we'll be back in the fall when it's time for the winter tires to go back on. read more

I purchase a set of F1 Eagle A/S here over a year ago. I had a very good experience. The price was good. They balanced the tires well. I was happy. Discount Tire was recommended by some friends for their outstanding service. I just now had the opportunity to put that to test. I had a leak develop in one of the tires so I brought it in to see what they could do. They looked and then said they would replace the tire at no additional cost. They ordered a new tire for me and then switched out my spare tire. Everyone I talked to there was very knowledgeable and friendly. At our most recent visit, there was something wrong with the online reservation, and despite our having received a confirmation, the store had not. OK. So, I have to give it up for this Discount Tire. I came in here on one of those snowy miserable days all cranky and ready to chew somebody up, but Discount Tire turned my day around. I have had TERRIBLE experiences with DT, but this place is totally one of those exceptions. The prices here were good. The technicians knew what they were talking about and were extremely friendly. This is one of those times where YELP really did help a sister out as far as reviews, because the place was solid. Helpful, friendly, quick and easy on the pocket book, but we still left with a decent pair of tires. HOWEVER... aside all the happiness and sunshine and great enthusiasm... I cannot give them a 5 star rating simply, because all they can do is CHANGE YOUR TIRES. They cannot align... they cannot check brakes........ I mean.... WHY NOT!? If you are getting so many customers in and out, then why wouldn't you have the machinery to do such things regarding tires!? My wife had a blow out from running over a huge nasty bolt and I took the tire to Discount Tires on Sawmill Road to get it replaced or repaired. First, they were only going to charge me $45.00 for a brand new tire worth three times that amount as my damaged tire was relatively new. I thought that was a mighty great deal considering most places would just charge you the full price for a brand new tire and be done with it. However, I opted to go ahead and get the new tire ... plus, road hazard insurance on all of her tires and the total price was still less than one new tire alone! They beat a competitor who had just offered a new tire by $40.00 in price. Great Customer Service ... got there early so I was in and out in about twenty minutes. This place is legit! I spoke to one guy (Andy) on the phone and another (Aaron) in person, and they both were very friendly and knowledgeable. They really took the time to figure out the best tire for my car and budget. And from some comparison shopping online, the prices were great too. Their website has an "out the door" pricing feature that proved to be accurate. The price for 4 Roadhuggers for my Honda Accord (including warranty, tax, TPMS fee, all that jive) was $653. About twenty dollars a tire which isn't bad but I wasn't interested. Clean business and I was greeted when I walked in and said they would be with me in a minute. I lost the key to the locking lug nuts on my cargo trailer- I called Discount Tire on Sawmill Rd,. and Raymond answered the phone. He said he couldn't guarantee success, but told me to bring in the trailer and they would try to get the 2 locking lug nuts off without the key. When I arrived Raymond immediately worked on the wheels- smashing a tool against the lug nuts to remove them. Success! I had stuck caps the I couldn't remove to put air in two tires. I went to Discount Tire on Sawmill rd. They said probably will need to replace stem and sensor for each tire. $64.95 each. They got me right in and an hour later I was good to go with new stems and sensors. No Charge! They said just tell your friends about us. So here I am. Really great place to get your tires. This place was able to get in some custom tires for my wifes SUV that were hard to find any other place *AND* they matched Costcos sale price despite the fact that Costco did not even have them in stock at all, which absolutely blew my mind. We dropped our vehicle off on a Friday night after hours using the drop slot and then it was ready to go Saturday afternoon, fast and cheap. After first stopping at Firestone when I found a piece of metal in my tire and being told I would have to replace the tire without even looking at the tires, I went to Discount tire where they offered to check the tires before replacing it. If Discount Tire was a man, I'd leave my husband for it. I normally dread going to car repair shops, but this was about as painless as it gets. First, they have an online appointment setter so you can make an appt even after store hours are closed (genius!). Second, my appointment time was for 8:30am to fix a flat tire. Got there at 8:20. I'm fairly sure the good parts of tire discounter have been expounded upon rather well by the rest of the comments here. Let me first state that I echo the majority of them, and have had a GENERALLY positive experience with tire discounters. That said, I have had a few less then stellar experiences with Discount Tire, specifically this location, including having the wrong bolt pattern wheel, put on a car, having a replaced tire pressure monitor fall off the day after its installation (A bit distressing if I do say) and finally having my winter setup re-installed without properly inflating the tires, leaving me with a car that seriously pulled to the left until I was able to stop and check the pressure. Generally, this location is excellent, but keep in mind they're human, and humans can make mistakes, so you may want to check your own air pressure, lug nut tightness, etc for peace of mind. read more

I am very disappointed after visiting this location. My vehicle had a vibration at highway speeds so I went to Discount Tire to get them fixed. They confirmed the new tires were defective and we ordered a new set which will be in the next day. So far things are good. I go to my vehicle and noticed 4 new scratches in the driver's side fender, with in a foot of the same tire they removed from my vehicle and deemed defective. I spoke with the store manager Raymond, he immediately denies that any one there could have done this, and proceeds to motion how they remove tires from the vehicle. Raymond told me that it must have been from a car in the parking lot. After asking him what the next step would be, he replied with the remark that I am "making him" submit claim to the corporate office. I replied that I am not making him, I am asking him. His attitude and demeanor was very off putting, as it was clear he wanted nothing to do with my complaint. After taking all of my information, he simply said "Thank you". I would not say "Thank you" is the appropriate response. I am not thankful that my car was damaged. I would have expected an "I am sorry" or some empathy. I can see why there are multiple complaints for rude and inconsiderate staff at this location. I do not believe they are doing it intentionally; they simply lack the training and skill set needed to handle these situations. read more

My girlfriend took her car to this store to have her tires inspected and rotated. They proceeded to tell her that her tires were too worn and that they couldn't rotate them because of it. She left there and brought the car to me at which time I checked all four tires with a tire depth gauge. The rear tires measured 7/32 and the front tires measured 6/32. New tires measure 9/32, so obviously her tires are still in good shape. Just another example of businesses attempting to take advantage of the female consumer and increase their bottom line by doing so! read more

Something at the location change, for the better. I remember coming here years ago and the custom service did not seem authentic and had pushy sales representative. I had a nail in my tire that needed repair or replace. When I arrive, there was only one person working the front and 2 people ahead of me. I waited for about 10-15 minutes and was about to go elsewhere. Then another worker came to help with the line and I decided to stay. I didn't know if they could fix the tire or if I needed all new tires. Jason S. was able to determine that they could fix the tire and rebalance them. He was knowledgeable and helpful. I wasn't in a hurry to buy and said a couple days to get the info would be fine. Three days go by and no call. I overheard a CSR say there were 13 cars waiting to be worked on. Great/Courteous Service: I discovered very low pressure in a tire and went to Discount Tire in Dublin, Oh; they took my car in, tested for leaks, took the tire off and ground off some corrosion on the rim, remounted and balanced the tire. Then they brought me my keys, explained what they had found and done and then said: NO CHARGE!!! Awesome!!
