Received an estimate from Tire Discounters and decided to spend some time comparison shopping. Discount Tire sold the tire brand & make that I was interested in for $43 less each-that is, $172 savings on 4. I was also given a 10% discount for military service! Oftentimes, your first impression of a business is made by the first person that you come in contact with and that sales associate was Taylor Hall (name obtained from business card): patient (not hurried), attentive, knowledgeable and informative. Spent time explaining tire tread and how it affects your driving and safety. Only con is that he didn't tell me that the road-hazard insurance "certificates," for replacement and/or refund of purchased tires, were optional. I truly don't believe it was intentional or deceptive & it's a good idea to have this insurance since the warranty only covers structural problems with the tires. So, I was told, after purchasing the tires, that they would be delivered around 10 AM the next day and they were. I was given an approximate time it would take for installation and they finished 15 minutes earlier than expected. The service technician that installed them (Chan) came to the waiting room to explain what had been performed and when I should return for a rotation. Another associate, Chad Seslar, also part of this exceptional team, further addressed my concerns regarding tire alignment, insurance and inflation. Very reliable and reasonable. I have been here a few times in the last few years and have always had a good experience. They have repaired a few tire air leaks for free and I have never waited exceptionally long. They have a comfortable waiting area and clean bathrooms. No complaints at all. Got home from work found a flat tire on my wife's car. It was almost 6pm. Called to check if they were open, the manager said they could take a look at it if I could get there soon. I asked when they closed and he said 6, but they would wait for me. Headed over, got stopped by a train and an emergency vehicle. They waited for me and fixed the tire at no charge. Can't beat that. Everyone was friendly, even apologized for not having coffee in the closed waiting room. Awesome customer service. read more

Wasted my time and were not friendly or helpful. I called ahead and asked about a new wheel, I was told over the phone they do not repair wheels. My is severely dented from hitting a pot hole and its likely I need a new wheel. The person on the phone asked the specifics on my van (wheel size, type of car, etc). He put me on hold, came back and said the had several "after market" wheels that would fit my car, despite not matching the other 3. I was fine with that. I drove all the way there and was told by the manager "No we don't have that" without even looking and "I don't know who you talked to but we don't have that". It is going to be 3-4 business days before they can even get a wheel in. He was very rude and unhelpful. Normally I'd ask to speak with the manager but that was him. I even double checked the number I called and it was the same location. Super disappointed, will never go back. read more

This place is fantastic. I was in a bind today, needing to attend a funeral out of town and found myself running late and having tire problems. I walked in and explained my predicament, and the gentleman behind the counter (Tyler? Taylor? I don't remember but he's one of my favorite people on the planet now) asked for my keys and immediately pulled my car in to check it out. Within minutes he was removing the problem tire to pull out the offending screw and patch it. I was out the door in under 30 minutes. I had never been to this store before, nor any of their other locations, but received this level of service at no charge! These guys were my heroes today and have earned my business forever. I've always had positive experiences at Discount Tire, today is the first time that was not the case. I called earlier in the week to schedule an appointment but they said they were completely booked up but to just come by "anytime before we close" and they'll take care of me. Knowing all the stores in Central Ohio have their corporate retreat today so they were closing at 11am instead of 5pm, I arrived about half an hour before they closed. Instead of the customer first tone I got on the phone yesterday I was immediately diverted to "schedule an appointment sometime this week". This wouldn't of been an issue had I not called yesterday and gotten a different response and if at least one of their stores wasn't 20 minutes away from my house. You would think the "corporate retreat" was predicated on good sales, and at its root good customer service. I know you were running a "two hour" backlog.... If that is usually the case you should make it known that you don't accept walk ins within an hour of closing.... A one star experience for a usually five star place..... thus three stars. read more

Went in to have a tire patched and to my surprise it was done at no charge. Hole was fixed with a lifetime guarantee patch/plug combo. I expected to pay 30 to 40 dollars since I didn't purchase the tires from them. Will definitely return to buy any tires needed in the future. Staff was courteous and well mannered. read more

I went for my free tire rotation, and to replace a missing lug nut simple right? Not according to discount tire. I spoke with a man named Justin who clearly only cares about sales, I paid for am extra service called "sipping" I believe either way the basically charged me 10$ + tax per tire and all they do is slice lines in your tread with a utility knife so that was a rip off, and to top it all of originally I wanted to replace all my lug nuts he said not to worry because I was only missing 1 and since I was getting a service he would toss it on for free, before I left I asked again did they remember my lug nut both he and the tech assured me it was there and I was all set. I get all the way back home I'm curious at this point take my call off no thing the dam things still missing so they not only lied but wasted my time I wanted to replace the lug nuts for safety because a have a 2000 mile drive ahead of me and my wife and child will be with me. I can't sing the praises of this place enough. I was nervous being a young woman about getting taken advantage of or talked down to that just didn't happen here. It helped that I rolled up to the whole crew sing Sugar by Maroon 5 right away I saw that these were folks who had excellent taste in music and I was put as ease. I had an appointment, made online on their easy to use website and was seen right away. Adam, was exceptionally helpful talking out to my car and taking some measurements then we went back inside to a display that showed me various level of wear. He showed me where each of my tires were which I appreciated. My tire had a sharp piece of rock in it and they made the repair for FREE. I took a walk around the block and about 30 minutes later I got a call that my tire was fixed and I was free to go. They even recycled an old tire I had in my trunk for free.
