I took my car in to fix a slow leak. I could see it had a nail in it. The guy was amazing and said - Hey, we will fix it for free if we can. They took it in and unfortunately the tire was beyond repair. My plan was to take it back to the dealer and the guy said. Tell you what, I will put a used tire on for you so you don't end up with a flat. Which he did, it was the same brand too. He charged me nothing!!!! If I can't get resolve with the dealer I will go back to these guys and buy all 4 new tires. In a world that often challenges us, it is good to know there are still great people and great businesses. For several days, I noticed that my on-board monitoring of tire pressures indicated a slow leak on one of my tires. The tires are otherwise in very good condition. Although I wanted to get immediate attention, I was able to keep the tire inflated at a safe level, so I set-up an on-line appointment with Discount Tire. I had used them previously for tire purchases and checks. I arrived early and checked-in, then a Technician talked with me about the issue. He took my keys and said I'd be on the road in less then an hour. Shortly after that, the car was driven into one of the bays and I watched the action from outside. The workers were very professional and quick. I could see that they immediately removed the tire, removed the tire from the rim, and began working on the inside (a sign that they found something penetrating the tire). After that, they re-balanced the tire and then reinstalled it. In approximately 40 minutes, I was checking out and driving away. They found a small screw or nail in the tire and "plugged" it. I am back on the road with confidence once again. All the staff and technicians were very courteous, friendly, and competent. I would highly recommend Discount Tire for all your tire service (and purchases). read more

I bought tires from here. They were 60,000 mile tires that lasted 53,000 miles. The guy said they still have some life on them but would not rotate them because I need to get new ones. I just got my oil changed before that at another place, they had checked my tires and said they were getting close but did recommend replacing them yet. This place is a scam! The guy was rude about it when I asked him if he could go ahead and rotate them one more time. And the other guy on the phone talking to another customer was rolling his eyes about the customer on the phone he was with. Discount Tire has lost this customer! read more

They sell you hard with all the " free tire rotation for life" etc. crap then just try to get a rotation! 3 hr wait every time. Hours even with an appointment. Past customers are pond scum when ncustomers are in the building. Never going here again. Go to the local guy. Neal tire is the bomb! This place SUCKS! Now, not doing tire rotations because of covid-19 but will gladly take your money and sell you new tires while NOT honoring their commitment to past customers! DO NOT BUY TIRE FROM HERE! I went to this store on a weekday afternoon ready to drop off my vehicle for a set of Yokohama's. I was the only customer at the counter area and several employees were milling about. Not a single on of them acknowledged me or even looked at me. I waited, and waited, as they all came and went between the lobby and restroom and work bays, and finally walked out not having been noticed. A simple 'hello we'll be right with you' would have saved you an $800 sale. read more

Employee told me that my TPS sensors were bad and it was going to cost $280 to replace them all. I declined for them to come back 45 minutes later and say "hey we were able to get them off and we can proceed with the rest of the services your here for" meaning they got caught trying to lie and now they're gonna do they're job. This is my forth year using discount tire for my tire repairs and it is just CRAZY to me how long it takes them to do 2 tires. I have been waiting here for 5 hrs when they told me it would be 2 hrs maybe 2 and half hrs. Customer service is all about setting the proper expectations. If they would of told me it would be 5 hrs I probably wouldn't care but this is the third time this has happened to me. Just not ok. I hope they go out of business and everyone one of my 300 hundred customers will defiantly not be using them. read more

I went in after changing my own tire that needed plugged. I was there til after they closed. Troy was very helpful as was Matt and Chase. Troy even stayed late because I was trying to make it back to have them double check the lug nuts, but didn't make it in time. Troy was there and did it by hand with his own personal tools. This is by far the best place to visit for tire issues. I have trusted them with my tires for years and every time we have had to go in... the service has always been top notch and without problems. Like all places that are successful, prepare to drop off the car and leave it. They are busy but that is because they are great at what they do. The staff has always been concerned about safety above price. This really hits home when you realize they are really thinking of you, family and others on the road. We just visited this business for the first time and are not happy with our experience. During the initial check-in, an item was added to our invoice that was recommended prior to us ever saying we wanted it and then we had to push to get the charge removed. This method of up-selling is typical (albeit annoying). After agreeing on the service and final preparation of our bill, we were asked about the payment method. While not verbally being forced to pay at that point, it was clear that payment was expected at that time, so we paid in full. When returning to the shop to pick our car up, we were handed a baggie with the key and invoice with no words exchanged. As we were new, we weren't sure about their procedures, so continued to wait to speak with someone. Finally, a technician came over asking if we had questions and we remarked about the prepay in full. He stated that the policy is now pay in full upfront due to "Covid" so that they had a "running bill" with "less paperwork" and you didn't have to come back later to settle up. I find this practice very questionable, especially with brand new customers who have no experience with the business or knowledge about the quality of work (other than some reviews). To request a deposit from new customers is acceptable but asking for full payment upfront is unethical. We do not plan on frequenting Discount Tire again. read more

Poor communication, poor customer service. They just don't care. I took my car in to have a rim sent out for service. They took all of my info except which tire they were going to serviced.....when I inquired to confirm that we were all on the same page regarding which tire, I found that they thought it was a tire other than the one that needed service because "that's what the computer indicated". When the tire was ready the next day, I was told that I'd need an appointment if I didn't want to wait 3 hours...and their next appointment is NEXT week! Here's an idea, when someone calls in to make the appointment to bring the care in for service and you KNOW they're going to need an appointment to complete the service, TELL THEM! this is the second bad experience (customer service) that I've had with them--- As a side note, I put the tire in my trunk and left. Next day I called the Castleton store and explained my situation. They squeezed me in that afternoon and I was in/out (tire installed) within 15 minutes. I have a new tire store. read more

Got all my tires replaced at Discount Tire on Olio rd and ran into a problem with one of the tires after they had closed. I called them as soon as they opened and they sent a tow truck to my house free of charge to pick up the car and get it back to the shop to fix the problem. The whole thing did not take much time at all. They were wonderful to deal with in this situation and I will continue to buy my tires there because of it. read more

The staff of the store is friendly and helpful. I purchased some Michelin tires from them three years ago that were rated by Consumer Reports as "Best Buys," and warranted as 90,000 miles by the manufacturer. I got only 43,000 miles from them. This store honored the warranty and gave me a generous allowance on four replacement tires without any hassle. They also recommended another tire instead of the Michelin reporting that they had seen a pattern of this particular tire not getting the rated mileage. I don't fault Discount Tires for selling me the Michelins three years ago since I had done my homework, and this was the tire CR had recommended. I am glad that they honored the warranty without any problems, and promptly replaced the tires. I have now purchased three sets of tires from this store, and intend to return when I need my next set of tires. read more
