Very frustrating experience with Discount Tire. I took the time to make an appointment because I was simply coming in to have a nail removed from my tire. I scheduled an appointment specifically so I would not have to spend hours waiting. When I arrived for my scheduled appointment, I was told the wait could still be approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. At that point, I have to question the purpose of making an appointment. I completely understand that unexpected delays happen and businesses sometimes get behind. However, if you are running nearly TWO HOURS behind on scheduled appointments, customers should receive a courtesy call or text BEFORE they arrive. Give us the opportunity to reschedule instead of allowing us to drive to the location, check in for an appointment, and only then find out that the scheduled time cannot be honored. People make appointments because their time matters. We arrange our workdays, errands, and other responsibilities around the time we are given. I wasn't requesting extensive repairs--I needed a nail removed from one tire. This isn't just about the wait; it's about communication and respecting your customers' time. If you're unable to honor scheduled appointments within a reasonable timeframe, please communicate that before the customer arrives. A simple phone call or text would have made a huge difference in this experience. read more

Very friendly staff, came in with a walk in tire 10 minutes early to the appointment and they took care of it before the appointment time. For context, I blew my tire on a first date with my date in the car on our way to the dinner location. On Thursday I discovered a nail in the driver's side rear tire. The joys of life, right?! Without hesitation, I drove to the Discount Tire on Altamesa. This is my place for tire service; in fact, I drive by numerous other tire places in order to get here. Those others don't even come close to what Discount Tire offers. The employee who waited on me was very professional and friendly. Upon asking for a patch/plug on the tire, he didn't try to upsell or push me toward products and services I didn't need or want. To my pleasant surprise, the overall time of wait was an hour, which is exactly what the employee said it would be. Wow! In the end, there was no out-of-pocket expense as Discount Tire performs this service for free. What a great way to keep a customer! Don't waste your time with other tire places. Best experience I've ever had at a tire store in my 30 plus years of driving! I was heading to Ft Worth from Granbury when I noticed I had a tire with a bad crack near the rim due to dry rot. Called the store to confirm they had my size tires in stock and if they had availability, which was a go on both. Once I showed up, they got me in immediately as promised and had all 4 tires replaced and had me back on the road about 30 minutes later. On the evening of Tuesday, January 16, 2024, I arrived to request my tires to have air put in them due to the extreme temperatures we are currently experiencing. To my surprise, Eric, the assistant managed refused to provide me service. Eric was addressed by the manager, David, who also politely asked him to service my vehicle and he still refused. As a customer for well over a decade and purchasing tires for not only myself, but also my children, I was left not only angry; but also hurt. It is saddening to know that despite being a loyal customer and spending thousands of dollars (as recent as 12/30/23), I would still be treated in such a manner. Despite my efforts to address the issues, the resolution provided was inadequate, and I felt unheard throughout the process. As a loyal customer, this experience has left me questioning the quality of service your company strives to deliver. As long as Eric is a face of your company, I will strive to ensure that customers are aware of the treatment they are likely to receive. While we are here, I do want to applaud David for his customer service, as he was apologetic and ultimately aired my tires up. read more

I had an appointment, I arrived early and they helped me. Dakota was very helpful as well when I needed an additional item that was found during inspection. Called ahead to check if they're busy.. Someone answered on first call (which is rare for most places nowadays) and they were very helpful. They aren't appointment only and do take walk ins, but it's always good to call ahead to see if they're busy. Only waited about 15 minutes and they were able to take my car in and get a flat replaced very quickly after that. I had the warranty for 50k miles and they pulled it up with just my phone number. Definitely recommend going with the warranty if you're buying from Discount Tire. Very happy with visit to this specific location and surprised by the kindness and service by the guys who helped me and the techs who changed the tire. read more

This is the second time and LAST time I will be coming here. Yesterday I visited this place because I had a nail in my tire and on top of that a slow leak. They claimed to have fixed both problems, but after I left to pick up my kid from school my tire was completely flat! I returned to this place and told them what had happened, they were nice about it and gave me a different tire for my troubles, but the next morning my front tire was flat!! I examined the tire and realized it was the same tire they claimed to have "replaced". I am now currently changing this second flat tire. I don't know if this is how they get business, but I'm definitely never going back here again. read more

We've been coming here for years but EVERY TIME we come in for "Free Tire Rotation" emailed to us, they consistently try to "upsell" you new tires, wheels, wiper blades, etc. (Likely Co. training.) The lady in front of us who was buying a new tire pressure sensor for $64, two new WHEELS for her Cadillac ($800 she declined)! By far, the rudest, most belligerent and argumentative salesman we have encountered there is "Jake". When we mentioned writing a review mentioning him, his arrogant reply: "That's ok I have millions of good online reviews." Funny thing--we haven't found them. He has probably convinced us, to get our tires at Costco from now on. read more

I really hate to give this place a crappy review, but I'm afraid I will have to. I had excellent service from one of the salesmen. We had small talk and he informed me that my tire couldn't be patched, so it has to be replaced. I anticipated this, so I waited in my seat while they gave me further instruction. I was greeted by another salesman who told me that the closest tire to mine that they had in stock was going to cost me $213 with labor. I found out AFTER I left that they had other options which was not presented to me. I was taken advantage of because I was female, and he knew that withholding info from me would get me to pay for an expensive tire. Screw this place. These guys are amazing I got there 10 minutes before they opened and there were four people ahead of me already outside waiting. They opened the doors right at 8 AM and got us in all very quickly! I had a large screw stuck in my tire on the very edge! it but it was not safe to patch so they found the best deal for me to replace. I only waited 23 minutes and I only spent $79. So relieved! Workers keep it professional, they hustle, and the waiting area is clean for an automotive type of shop. Took my car in because my low tire indicator light was on. Chris took excellent care of me. He spent time checking all of my tires plus took the extra time to check my spare. The spare was the tire that was low and is what was causing the indicator light. I felt like I was in great hands and Chris was extremely professional and efficient.
