Went to Discount Count Tires today for a tire patch. Another shop was unable to patch. I was able to make a same day appointment. The location was very busy, line was out the door. It takes a lot for me to be impressed, but this location did it. I had a nail in my tire, swung by in the morning and realized there were quite a few people in front of me. As I waited, 3-4 people made it their priority to say "thank you for coming in, we will be with you in just a minute". Checked in and they said about an hour, they were 100% done in about 40 min which was great. Now here is where they really impressed me, I walked out side and the tech was torquing the nuts down and he did a double check on all of them! I used to be a tech and was always extra careful of this. I always checked, then rechecked the torque on the nuts( i have heard horror stories of tires coming off) long story short, I will 100% be back here in the future. read more

It doesn't make for a pleasant experience when the rep makes you feel stupid during the appointment. We worked with David, the assistant manager, he was very belittling and passive aggressive. I think he may have become disappointed when we told him we would only be replacing two & not all four of our tires today. There were uncomfortable comments like "the tire you ruined was the best tire on the car" with not a hint of facetiousness or humor; more like: ("you're an idiot, look what you did"). I get this isn't something to get offended by, but have some tact, things like this happen. It was also awkward when upon discussing entering a phone number for my father's business account we were responded with "you're a big girl, you don't need dad for this." The interaction felt strange & was unusual from this location, I usually find it a friendly & helpful environment. Hope to not interact with this person again. While waiting inside for my car, I also observed David being rude to another customer and belittling her for coming to pick up her car "6 minutes before they close". Mind you it was only 5:50, they were still open another 10 minutes. Honestly the experience was fine except for working with David. They are quick and friendly at this location. This location is the best. They pay attention to your needs and requests and make suggestions in your best interest. Getting tires can make you feel helpless and trapped. I mean you have to have good tires especially in Arizona heat. And many tire shops make you feel like you are at their mercy and forced to buy what they want you to buy. Madison was great at showing me options, making recommendations and letting me pick what met my needs and budget. I couldn't get them installed that day and came back on Monday morning. They had me in and out in less than an hour even with almost half a dozen people in front of me. This might be the first time I can remember that I have mentioned that I had metal caps on my valves and they didn't replace them with plastic ones. I know it sounds trivial, but it is the small details that can make a difference. I was amazed during the drive home. Not only were the new tires much better but they got the balance right. Usually I start to feel vibrations on the highway. Not today. I tried a location closer to me but didn't work out. Worth going to this location even at todays gas prices. In the past, my wife and kids had been stranded in this parking lot because our battery died when they were shopping. The folks at discount tire noticed that she was having trouble and helped get her running so she could get home. Didn't try to sell her anything or charge her. Just saw a family in need and helped them. Kindness like that goes a long way in building a reputation and creating loyal customers. read more

I have shopped at this location of discount tire since 2010. I totally understand that sometimes a business can have a bad day. This isn't the first, second, third or fourth time for this issue. When I drop off a vehicle I let them know no hurry. When I make an appointment to rotate and balance tires I'm on a time crunch. That is why I make an appointment. Today's appointment was for 3:15. I arrived by 3:05. Waited in line till almost 3:25. Was told at the latest I'd be out by 4:30. Unacceptable. As you can see by the screenshot I'm not even in the bay yet. I ask for the manager. The chicken hides in his office. Never did come out. I'm done with this place. Not the only game in town. BTW tires are 6 months ish old. Already taking me to a chart to watch for wear and may need a new tire in a year. 5000 miles on them so far. His math is WAY off by a few years. One other thing. I'm an aircraft mechanic in uniform. This is the second time I have been to a Discount Tire and they tell me they can't take off my tire! I purchased the tire here and they put the tires on. I haven't had any work done on the tires and today I have a screw in my tire. I came here to have the tire put fixed and they can't take my tire off. Complete crap! I went 3 miles away and guess what!!!!??? The tire shop was able to take my tire off and fix it! I will never do business with Discount Tire again! read more

Had 2 tires installed today only to get home and see they installed the incorrect tires. They got me back in pretty quick to put the correct tires on which was great besides the fact that they over inflated one of them to 59 PSI and replaced my OEM tire valve caps with mismatching ones. I've never had a bad experience here so this is kind of a bummer! read more

Dishonest and predatory. I sent my wife in for a tire repair and when she showed up to pick the car up they talked her into replacing all 4 tires. I spoke with a salesperson prior to her dropping the car off and SPECIFICALLY told him (David) I wanted the tire repaired. They took advantage of someone who had no knowledge of tires. It's sad that a female is more knowledgeable in tires than this place. My husband came in with a flat tire (under warranty). They accidentally texted us saying that our car was ready when it was NOT. Finally it was ready. Then the air light still didn't go off. My father was a tire salesman my entire life and if he would have gotten into a car and saw that the light was still on for air he would have immediately checked the other tires for nails or holes. Did they do this? Nope! My husband had to go back in and I spoke to the manager demanding another new tire and not a patch. The manager was arrogant, completely sexist, and I told him if a blowout happened from patching the tire I would sue them for negligence. He hung up the phone and was a total jerk because I'm a woman. It's sad that a woman has more problem solving skills than this place. They don't know how to communicate properly, send you a text when the car isn't ready, and didn't care that the light was still on after they changed one tire. The second tire had a metal object in it as well. This isn't rocket science. They did end up putting the second tire on but were tempted to patch it until I demanded a new tire. I think that properly training every employee is the key to success. They need to be aware if a light is still on. One person should not say patch the tire while another says new tire. We should not be told that our car is ready when it hadn't even been seen yet! My dad passed 2 years ago (who didn't retire until his 80s) and is buried at a local cemetery. A few plots down an entire family (except for the father who was last heard of having a mental breakdown) are all DEAD (4 young kids and his wife) from a blowout on the freeway. A different incident even happened last year in Phoenix with only a young girl surviving. Tires are an EXTREMELY important component to safety! Also, one person said it would be "free" to replace. As my husband checked out they asked for $40 for a new certificate but he declined. This should have been explained at the very beginning. This place completely lacks unity and proper communication. Don't know what happened to this place. Last couple of times I came here was not great. First, was for a pressure check and they left my caps off and never replaced them. While getting it checked, a guy came up to my car to initiate small talk which is fine but it was an obvious upsell for something I know I didn't need. They need to know when to stop. Also, not everyone wants to divulge personal information to strangers. Second, came in for a rotation and they didn't even do it. I waited an hr, and when I walked up to my car, I could clearly see the wheels weren't taken off due to markings. I was so upset I didn't even want to address it and left. Came in about 1:30 PM. Place was pretty busy considering! We needed a tire repaired that had a screw in it. No Appointment. It ended up being about 1 1/2 hour wait to get to our vehicle, but the process was fairly quick to repair (the back left tire) after that. A little over 2 hours from start to finish. Next time, I think it best to book an appointment ahead of time. Staff was friendly and efficient. Our service was covered under warranty NO CHARGE; so I guess it was worth that wait! LOL read more

John sales/service man knows this review was coming. I ordered 2 Falken tires from this place and was told they would be in on Monday from a previous sales guy. I called, they never notified me first of all they were in... I asked if I should come in today or schedule an appointment for tomorrow? He said, "Oh come right in and we will take care of you!" So I drove in and got an estimated time of 1.45 hours and I thought that was long but whatever, I was a walk-in. I checked in at 3:31pm and I ended up waiting until 10 minutes to closing at 6pm!!! If your store needs to reach your quota for the day, this is the worst way to handle this. I know I do not have an appointment and was willing to pick up my car whenever or leave it overnight there to pick it up the next day or even make an appointment the next day. But be straight with me and tell me instead of wasting my evening waiting. I could have had my husband pick me up! Do not give me a BS time to make me happy because it made me irate instead and frustrated since i just worked the night before and got up early to take care of this. I wanted to get a refund on my almost $600 worth of 2 tires and go elsewhere but my husband chilled me out. Never had such poor crap happen at a Discount tire sir John. Be real with your customers. I would rather of been told it would take until the end of the day than some customer service BS talk like you had. Never will I go to this store again because of you. We LOVE Discount Tire! During the Pandemic we brought our car in and had four new tires put on. Because of the pandemic we didn't have to get out of our car EVER! We felt like we were race car drivers with our own private pit crew. We had THREE people working on all the tires. It couldn't have taken more than 20-25 minutes total. They were very professional. Recieved a call that the tires were in the store and ready to be installed, so I scheduled an appt for today. I arrive at the store, answer a few questions and I'm told it will be an hour or less. An hour goes by and my caris in the same spot. So, I ask what's going and that I need to reschedule because guess what discount, we all have better things to do. I went in this morning and was met by the Sr. Assistant manager Matt. He was extremely rude and sexist! I advised him that I had to put air in my tires 4 consecutive days in a row and thought there might be a leak. He then asked if I actually knew how to put air in. When I told him I used my tire gauge he asked to see it as if I didn't know what he was referring to. He then said to drive my car around to add air and said that was all he could do. I got 4 new wheels and tires from discount tire in my henderson location but when i was driving down to arizona i noticed a pretty bad vibration in my steering from the 70-80mph range so i knew something was wrong. The gilbert location was close to where i was so i took it there the next day when they opened and there were already 5 people ahead of me. They got me in quick rebalanced my tires and was good to go. The tech said my tires were really out of balance. So im a little upset at my henderson location for not doing it correctly. I have been coming here for 10 years. Even after having my tire fly off my car 20 min after leaving (a different location), I have continued to come here. Today, I'm pissed. They are super busy and more than an hour off from the estimated times of completion for EVERYONE! My car was supposed to be completed an hour ago and they are literally just now pulling it into the bay. Customers are coming in for their cars and being told they won't be ready until 6:40 and 7pm. They close at 6! Everyone in the waiting room is disgruntled! The issue is not that they are busy OR that it's taking 3.5 hours. The issue is that they are so far off of the estimated time that people can't plan accordingly. I love 5 min away and would have taken an Uber home had I known I would be sitting here with my child for almost 4 hours! Insane and so unprofessional. read more

The one I use in Cypress, CA is exactly like this location here in Gilbert, AZ. These guys were very professional and pleasant to deal with. I had a dash light come on saying I had low pressure indicators for my tires. I took my car there because of my experience with the one in California and dropped my car off. They were incredibly busy and had a 4 hour wait. When I came to pick up my car they said NO CHARGE with a very pleasant smile and wished me a good day. My tire had a rather large screw in it and was leaking air quickly. I needed this fixed right away and was crunched for time as I had to pick my kids up after school. I got to discount tire at 4 PM and they advised it would take 1 to 1 1/2 hours to fix my tire. At 4:32 PM I received a text from them letting Me know that my car was ready for pick up.
