I was told it would take a little over an hour-and-a-half to complete mounting my new tires. I gave them my number--as they asked--to call me and my Mother who would be walking around Home Depot until the work was done. An hour-and-forty-five minutes later, I walk back only to find my Toyota sitting in the same exact place, untouched and unmoved. Went in the counter and told them I was there to pick up my car. He searched around for five minutes and I said, "I don't think you guys actually did anything. I checked my car and the same tires are still on them--and this is now almost two hours later." He said he would see what the status was and get back to me--returns and tells me it will take another 20-30 mins., which means 30-40 mins minimum. I said, "It's been almost two hours and unfortunately I can't wait another hour for something that I was told was only going to take an hour-and-a-half. Just cancel, please. I have to go." The manager overhears this conversation and says he'll talk to me. He apologizes, as the guy before him apologized, and explains that they had others before me that took longer than expected. My thought was, "So why didn't you call me and tell me that?" I say, "So if I hadn't have come, then it wouldn't have gotten done? Until...?" And he continues to apologize and re-explains his previous excuses. He said, "You'll just allow us 20-30 mins, we'll get those new tires on their." I reluctantly agree. 50 mins later, my car is FINALLY ready. VERY DISAPPOINTED--and annoyed. I ORIGINALLY was SO IMPRESSED with their customer service--but then I bought the tires and AFTER that, it was downhill from there. In addition, I spoke to another very nice lady who was on her lunch break waiting for her car--she had an appointment--and she had to wait almost 30 mins just to get in the bay, too, just as others have mentioned as well. I have been buying tires here for years on many vehicles & trailers & they have always been ok but yesterday I was in a hurry & called about trailer tires because I had a blow out. Josh said he could put them on now. I promptly brought it there & got checked in & paid & then he told me I was 13th in line. What? Take it or leave it was the response but he said it would be done by 1:15 pm which came & went. He said their inventory truck was in the way so there was going to be even more of a delay. That inventory truck had been parked there 2.5 hours earlier when I was there. Eventually they got it done at 3 pm with no apology for lying initially about doing it "now" & no apology about running 3-4 hours later than they said. Beware if you are in a hurry. I recently had to replace two front tires thanks to a pothole. I checked pricing of the tires I wanted. Discount Tire has the lowest price by far and were able to get my tires quickly. They kept true to the appointment time and did a great job putting my new tires on. They put plastic valve covers on the two front wheels when I originally had chrome. They apologized and gave me four new valve stem covers to match. I once again am pleased with the service I received. read more

Stopped in here during a busy Saturday afternoon on Labor Day weekend. The place was full and I was just passing through the area and needed a tire rotation. Not only did they NOT try to sell me new tires, measuring the thread and telling me that they're in good shape, but they did my rotation in 45 minutes and didn't charge me a cent. I couldn't believe that!!!! I've never been to one and they knew I wouldn't be buying anything else from them, yet they still courteously took care of my car promptly and for free. I would highly recommend this place, as only a business with real class would give such a nice gesture. read more

Went in with a nail in my Michelin that I purchased in 2010 here. Great warranty for that and free replacement. Which is what they did, but unfortunately, in an AWD vehicle, you cannot replace one and leave three on that are worn. So that meant all new tires. Well I was fearing the worst! But the salesman was amazing! He was able to prorate the mileage on the old 3 tires and apply to new Michelins, which have a better warranty than the last! The last tire was free due to their replacement policy. I walked out of there with 4 new tires for under $400! Wow! read more

Horribly unprofessional. I had 4 new snow tires put on my audi there yesterday, I received my car back only to find 2 center caps missing, all 4 wheels scratched badly, and a pece of molding broke off my fender. I told Brad and rick what happend, they denied it was them, and tried to play mind games to get me to say it "might have not been them" I refused to say it, andinsited it was done while in their shop. They still refused to assist with any sort of reimbursment, or replacement. I will never shop with them again. I will pay 30 extra dollars to the proffesionals next time, and get my whole car back. read more

They swapped out my Winter snow+mud tires on my BMW M3 and replaced two of my worn tires on my Summer wheels for a reasonable price. They were professional and friendly and not expensive and did not try rip me off. The part I was most excited about was my car drives perfect afterwards!. I have gone to Les Schwab when I lived in Idaho and they consistently would not balance tires correctly causing my steering wheel to shake which always surprised me and would have take my car back afterwards. I did not have this issue with Discount Tire in Longmont. They did a great job. My car drives great. I will recommend them and my wife also brought her car there and they did good work on her vehicle also. read more

Discount Tires in Longmont scared my wife into purchasing new wheels for her Honda. Purchased the same tires that came with the car when we purchased it from Frontier Honda. It had 2 after market shims on the front of the car. They left the shims off the car, and showed my wife that the front tire, and wheel rubed the calipers. No S--t. You need to put the shims back on, not scare my wife into buying new wheels to cover the warrenty on the new tires. That did not istall correctly. Time to call BBB. Cost was $482.00. Discount tires has no documention that states that the car was UNSAFE. What a RIP. read more

Always have the right tires in stock at fair prices. Like the additional warranty they offer, and they always honor it. However, the waiting room experience has declined. No coffee or water anymore and wifi would sure help. Also saw two people give up waiting after an hour and a half. They staff should be more realistic with wait time estimates. read more

I got called to say they were ready for my car at 5:20pm pretty quick considering. With how many people are here, they are super super organized, which I'm super impressed with. I worked with Jake and he was awesome. I was moving to California when one of my tires got a flat and I drove too long on it and damaged the tire. He ordered a new one, but it did not come in on time, so he basically gave me a free new tire. He went out of his way to work with and to make sure that everything was good for my trip out. I have been taking my cars to discount tires for years. I took my car in last night to have a flat fixed and the tires rotated. I received a call this morning that it was finished and ready to be picked up. I went in to pick it up and noticed the back tire was flat. C.j. was helping me and said my tires were all bad and they couldn't service them. I was ok with them not being able to rotate them because 2 were not in the condition to be rotated. I asked if the could just fix the tire that was flat he said he would have to go ask Lance if he would agree to it. He came back and told me it was unsafe to fix the flat tire because it would make the car unsafe. I bought the tires from them with road insurance. He told me he could fix the back tire if I bought a new one for the front. So it is unsafe to fix a flat tire that I bought from them with insurance to have it fixed because of a bad tire on the front and send me on my way with a flat tire on the back and a bad tire on the front. I don't know which is more unsafe. It's all b.s. to get you into the store to buy more tires. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. I was always pleased with discount tire and referred people to them. I am no longer happy with the service they can and don't do to help the customer. read more

An extremely well managed store with quality products and work. It is amazing how many people you see there and yet you still get timely service. They let you know about how long it will take and how many people are in front of you. Even the wait in line to talk to a rep passes quickly as you can see movement/progress. I also called on the phone and was able to get timely answers -- 3 times I called and talked to Mike, Larry, and Rick who were so helpful. I have tried to be a loyal customer for several years. With my fleet I've spent in the thousands over the last several years with these guys. We just simply cannot afford to be ignored and waste any more time trying to get satisfactory service. I had asked for tires to be brought in for a company vehicle after they determined they could not provide both wheels and tires for it. Having snow tires on said vehicle, it is fairly important to get them off and new ones on. Apparently it is only important to us as they have yet to deliver tires, or call us to notify us of status. Simply put, we cannot afford to continue to do business here. Perhaps this company may wish to invest in some sort of task, or customer management system which would prevent customers such as ourselves from being "lost" in the clutter. Writing on scraps of paper doesn't seem to be working very well for them. I will no longer allow them to jeopardize our time as well as our money because of their shortcomings. read more

I have done a lot of business with Discount Tire and have been very happy in the past. My last three encounters have not been up to snuff. I have only AWD vehicles. The past 3 times I have brought a tire problem to them they have told me the tire is irreparable and immediately start trying to sell me a new set of tires. Each time, I have taken the tire elsewhere and have gotten them repaired with no problem. Time before last, all the other tire store had to do was inflate the tire (boat trailer - still holding air fine). This past time I was told my tire was irreparable and I needed to buy new tires. When I took it to another shop, I was told the tire Discount had flagged as irreparable did have a nail in the sidewall, but it had not gone through and was creating no problem (there was another small nail in a different location). Thank goodness I have not taken their word. It has saved me $100s of dollars and seriously damaged my trust for Discount. I understand they are in the business of selling tires, but trustworthy customer service is part of the sale. read more

Usually pretty quick with anything but today in the middle of a Thursday not busy what so ever went to get tires rotated tech told me it would take about a half hour, ended up taking 2 hours, and instead of assisting my questions techs conversed about where they would be going for lunch. (Only complaint, I asked for tire pressure to match that printed on the door, which was 26 front and 28lbs rear. They put in 36lbs all around, which wears my tires out in the middle and is generally not good for traction.) read more

Not only did they find a small leak, they also found a nail and a breach where the lining of my tire attaches to the hub? (I think that's what it's called). I was worried about going to a chain to get a new tire, but these guys were just wonderful. First off, I was able to make a reservation for an appointment online, so I was sure to be taken care of right after work before they closed. Then when I got there they were incredibly accommodating. I was only looking for 1 new tire to replace an old one and was worried that they would try to upsell me or attempt to get at least 2 new ones, if not the whole set. Much to my surprise they accepted my request for just one, and then asked if I had one in mind (you can search options on their website), and also told me about the cheapest one, as well as the one that was most similar to my current ones. After that I ran to a nearby store, sat down for 5 minutes and then they handed the keys back to me. So replacing the old tire, balancing and checking the pressure took at most 15 minutes. Another nice touch was that they told me the expected wait time (which was longer than it actually took, but it was still very nice to have a rough idea). On the way out they asked how my experience was and took the time to chat. This was from multiple employees, as well. I really felt like they valued my business and input. I have been a life long customer of Discount tire. This is the first time I feel they are not willing to work with me and will no longer be using them for my vehicles or my children's vehicles. I spent almost 900 dollars for a set of winter tires that last 4 1/2 months and the staff at the Longmont store offered to reduce the labor for another set of tires. When I said that was not good enough they offered to remove Certificates to further reduce price. What has happened to your customer service?! read more
