Awesome customer service, friendly, and fast! I had to make an appointment yesterday because my rear left fire had a flat. I have run flats so I didn't know until I got in the car and it alerted me that it was low. When I check the tire, it had a big construction nail right on the thread. We're going on a road trip next Friday and I'm getting my car serviced tomorrow. I called this discount tires due to the reviews. I spoke to Chris and we were on the phone for awhile because I wanted to get some durable tires not just any kind. He ordered the tires and set up the appointment for me to come in as well as offered promotions that were going on right now which was great. I came in, late because I had to drive slow with run flats. Zach greeted me on the parking lot and checked my car right away. I was in there no more than 10 mins. I left to get lunch and they texted 35 mins later that my car is ready for pick up. I have, never in my life went to a tire store where I didn't have to wait long and that the staff was attentive and offered suggestions regarding my concerns. This place is definitely recommended! Chris and the guys make a chain auto shop feel like a mom and pop. They beat the competitors price without a flinch on a set of 4 off road tires for me. When I thought I had a vibration in the wheel they happily rebalanced the following day on my schedule. When I took my truck to the dealer AGAIN to complain about the vibration Toyota now blamed the after market tires. I called the shop and left a message, without even speaking to anyone further Chris submitted and order for 4 brand new tires replacing the entire set proving my dealership wrong that it was the tires causing it. On top of that Zac was able to recommend a better size tire for my truck and he had them in stock in the make and model I wanted. The techs did a "show" install without me even having to ask, meaning the white lettering on each wheel is aligned the same in order to give a uniform appearance. I was probably a less than ideal customer, with an appointment kate in the day, with specialized tires, on. 50 year old truck and all the issues that go along with it. I have been a loyal customer to discount tire for a couple years now. I have never been disappointed with the service and prices I receive. However, today we had the pleasure of being helped by Brayden, a very accommodating, helpful employee. He was able to help up quickly with an amazing attitude. The location was quite busy at the time but Brayden kept a smile on his face! I have to add that I had to return due to a slight hit on my new tire which damaged the rim as well. I went to the San Marcos location where they were not helpful, what so ever. They told me I would need to buy a new rim for $106 and there was nothing they could do for me. I decided to return to this location and Kevin immediately helped me with my issue. He took my tire to the back to take a look at it and found an easier, cheaper and safe solution to fixing my tire. I strongly suggest this location when you are in need of tire help because all of the employees are extremely friendly and helpful. They genuinely want you to be safe and leave happy. Saturday afternoon, wonderful sunny day and I'm driving home from the grocery store looking forward to grilling out with some friends. About 300 feet from my house the tire pressure warning system comes on and I'm thinking "wtf?!" Parking in front of my house, take a look at my tires and what do I see? Looks like a 10mm bolt imbedded in my front passenger tire, must have ran it over near the construction site nearby. So at this point my afternoon sucks. I swap out my spare tire, look up nearby tire stores and pick Discount Tire since they have the best Yelp ratings. I drive in and show them the bolt in my tire and I am happy when they tell me that since it is in the center of the tread they can patch it. So I give them my info and keys, hang out in the lounge for 10, maybe 15 minutes before I get called by the tech into the bay. Now I'm expecting some upsell BS, but what do they do? They hand me my keys and say "have a great day!" I'm confused now and let them now that I haven't paid, and he's like "yeah, no charge!" So my afternoon went from stoked to crappy to "wow, those guys were great!" I work in retail and it is always a good feeling when a company completely nails customer service. Called on 1-30-14 to get a quote on 4 tires after contacting Evans Tires first but unfortunately they wouldn't have the tires in stock till the following day. Spoke to Forest explained Evans Tires quoted us at $551.10 for the tires, he said he would match it, I agreed he said they had the tires in stock, we made our appointment for the next day, my wife takes the car in to get the tires and now they don't recall that price but "hey we'll do it for $636.85 out the door" as they tell my wife, so she proceeds to call me to verify the price from yesterday as she remembered that wasn't the price but couldn't completely recall exact amount, so I answered told her it was above price she said ok. She calls me back 10 minutes later stating that they were saying that wasn't true they didn't quote me that price and I must be lying, wait your calling me a liar to my wife. Then a gentleman is standing at my wifes car as she is in it, and she even takes a picture of him tapping on her window trying to get her attention, due to obviously she didn't want to do business with someone that calls her husband a liar. She calls me in a panic telling me this guy won't move from her car then he finally moves away from the car and she proceeds to leave. I call immediately after getting off the phone with her and ask for the manager and a gentleman named "Clay" said he was the manager, he was chuckling as I started to say my wife was just in there, he was like oh yes I know. You can have her comeback we'll honor that price......HOLD ON your telling me you'll honor that price after you just called me a liar to my wife and stood at my wife's window tapping it so you could talk to her, you've lost your mind. I WOULD STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION. I've used Discount Tire previously and by far have never received such a horrible experience. Quick, professional service. Dropped in with no appointment due to a nail in one of my tires. The staff was very friendly and accommodating- Clay took a look at my tire and answered any questions I had. It took about 45 minutes (as promised) for my car to be serviced. Best thing of all, it was free! -- they offer free air pressure checks & your first tire repair is free The only bummer is they don't offer free wi-fi, but you can steal some from the Jack-In-The-Box next door or walk over to the Starbucks across the street. Their facilities are incredibly clean and comfortable (including complimentary beverages while you sit and wait for your car), their pricing is competitive with any other tire place, cheaper by far than buying them from my dealership (and that was for top of the line Pirelli tires), and they rotate, balance, and check air pressure on them for FREE every 5,000 miles. I visited the Discount Tire store in Oceanside ( 3836 Plaza Dr. Oceanside, CA 92056 ) and needed a front tire replaced because of a nail in it and it couldn't be repaired. I just realized this morning, on my way on vacation, that they replaced the wrong tire and now I have to postpone my vacation ( 1500 miles of driving ) because they screwed up and replaced the wrong tire and my vehicle is not safe. I am glad I noticed this before I left on my trip because my car is unsafe and instead I have to go back to the store and hope they have another tire available that they can put on my car so I can leave for vacation today. To Follow Up on this Review ... I went in and talked to Dave ( The Manager ) and he got me a new tire at no cost and I was only detoured a couple hours on my vacation. I have been very pleased with Discount Tire over the last 15 years. I have 3 cars, and all of them have Discount Tire tires on them. I like that I can pre-order online, and the store calls me when my tires come in. They take appointments, too. Seldom have to wait long. They have bottled water and snacks in the waiting area for customers. Nice. The prices are just about the lowest. I don't try hard anymore to find better prices because they usually are the best. I gave 4-star because a "new" guy dinged up my wheels a couple years ago. That was a bummer since I'm very particular about my car, but I was able to work it out with management without any hassle or push-back at all. They wanted to do whatever it took to make it right. Oh yeah. New tire sets will be mounted on the rear. Everyone does it this way. Online articles explain why. Still seems counterintuitive to me, but I don't fight it anymore. The folks are reliable and trustworthy. I don't have any problem sending my wife or daughter to the store. I know they will be treated honestly and fairly. They gave me a free plug for my tire, and made no attempt to sell me new tires, then packed my spare back in my trunk and sent me on my way with a pat on the bum! All free. I made my online and they had me in and out much faster than I imagined I'd get out. I researched my tires carefully and picked them out before I arrived. More than one employee told me I chose an excellent set of tires, which was reassuring. My tires came with a rebate and they provided those details to me without me having to request it. We didn't keep track of the time so it may have even been less. We were greeted immediately upon arrival. Everyone was professional, courteous, efficient, and smiling (a welcome exception in business these days it seems). We'll be back to get our back two tires replaces shortly. Their original quoting price for new tires was too steep for us, but they assured us they would not only match, but beat by some percentage (I can't remember exactly how much), any competitor's price - including warehouses.
