I will give concessions and say that he was a pleasant guy and really did try his best. Responsiveness is also a plus and mobile service also good. Arturo explained to me with this type of damage and the wheels that it was the best he can do. I Understand. I had some complex curves I understand, but the end results drew more attention to the area because of the rounded blending and spray paint to the area. Prior to fix the damage was almost hidden by the wheel lines. I've seen the companies work on other cars, which look amazing, which is why I decided to go with this company. I keep wondering if I should have just gone with a fix it kit for this. I'm sad to say for me this it wasn't a home run. Maybe AJ would have had another outcome. I cannot say. But paying $200 for 30 minute repair you don't expect perfection but results that are consistent with cost. I cannot confidently recommend but I am open to being proven incorrect.

When I arrived, I walked toward the service area and was told to go to the front because there were employees available to assist me there. Once I got to the front, I wasn't acknowledged right away. Later, when I returned to pick up my vehicle, I went to the front desk again and was directed back to the service area. When I got there, no one was at the desk, so I walked back to the front and again waited without being acknowledged before finally asking for my keys. The work on my vehicle was completed, but the customer service and communication could definitely be improved. There seemed to be several employees working, yet the process felt confusing and unorganized. Based on this experience, I'll likely continue visiting the El Camino location, where I've consistently had quicker and more attentive service. Hopefully this location can improve the customer experience moving forward.

Bait and Switch Advertising!!…read more Bought a set of tires here, they were listed as having the lowest advertised price for the set I wanted and claim they offer a replacement warranty. They charge that rate per tire, and then the fees start coming in. Fee after fee end up putting them on the higher side of the market for the tires. At this point I have too much time invested so I move forward. They end up taking an hour and half longer than originally quoted. Then when I got a nail in the tire they charged me over a hundred bucks to replace the dang thing! After I had paid for the warranty!! Predatory marketing and dishonest service claims. Find a different tire shop.

1 star. Do not bring your car here…read more I brought myJeep SRT8 in for a valve cover, oil pan, and crank seal job on 5/8. Got it back 5/13, five days for a two-day quote. It was smoking before I even got back to work. Oil dripping onto the headers. Returned it same day, they re-torqued and sent me home. Still smoking. Dropped it back off 5/14 at 3:10PM. Picked up 5/15. Two lights from the shop my transmission started slipping hard in second gear. Turned right back around. Owner Ricky confirmed the slip on a test drive. His first question was whether I'd done aftermarket work to the transmission, trying to make it my fault before we even got back to the shop. Plugged in a scanner, found an old unrelated stored code, erased it, drove it again. His conclusion: "I don't know what to tell you." I pointed out the transmission was perfect at drop-off. He got angry. Said no one drove it, they only idled it. Then offered to pull camera footage as proof. I said let's go watch it right now. He said he had other things to do. This happened in front of my fiancée and two of his own employees. No intake paperwork was made when I returned the car, no mileage logged for the exact period the transmission failed. What I can tell you is the mileage on my car does not support the story they're telling. A certified third-party inspection from the shop literally 150 feet away documented my transmission passing with zero issues the same morning I dropped off. The oil pan job on the 6.1L HEMI also requires physically moving the transmission for access. They did something and when confronted with the proof, they dodged cameras and kicked me out. BAR complaint filed. Small claims next. Update "Response to Ricky, thank you for responding publicly this actually helps me significantly. You identified yourself here as "Business Manager." When I asked you in person for the owner, you said you were in front of witnesses. That is now publicly documented. Regarding the OBD codes : the stored code found was a historical "lost communication with TCM" event. That is not a transmission mechanical failure code. It is entirely unrelated to active gear slipping. Any qualified technician or BAR investigator will confirm those are two completely different things. Regarding the SRT8 being driven aggressively: on the morning of my drop-off, another shop conducted a certified digital multi-point inspection of my vehicle. 31 of 33 systems passed. Transmission was in the green. The only red flags were the exact leaks I hired you to fix. That inspection is timestamped and on record. A performance vehicle with aggressive driving history does not pass a certified inspection hours before drop-off and then suddenly fail two blocks from your shop after picking up You stated the transmission was not touched. The 6.1L HEMI oil pan job requires the transmission to be lowered for access. It does not need to be fully removed to be disturbed. You also claim no evidence exists linking your repairs to the transmission failure. There is also no intake paperwork from my return visit, meaning no mileage baseline exists for the exact period the failure occurred. That absence of documentation benefits only one party, and it is not me. Your building advertises transmission services. You told me to my face you don't diagnose transmissions. Thank You Sir

people should not give these hard working guys any bad reviews at all. This specific store was the best in every aspect and ill explain why, I went to three different discount tire store in the Oceanside and as I walked in I either waited over thirty minutes before I got help or had two of the stores give me a pamphlet for the rims I were looking for and told me to come back when I found the rim I wanted....WOW.. But this store and these guys were strongly helpful. I went there expecting the same treatment but ISMAEL and PATRICK HEMPHILL were great especially Patrick who helped me the most in selecting the right rim, giving me do and donts about getting a bigger size and even keeping me updated everyday on when my order came in. I have been to a lot of tire stores but ill drive from anywhere to buy from here just for the hospitality and welcoming respect from these fellas. have been going to DT for for about 10 years at the very least. Always had great service and things to say about them and would have recommended them in a heartbeat. Currently I most certainly would discourage anyone from doin business with them. They do not do what they say they are going to do (or least not all of it) and tell you they did the service. When asked about certain things they refuse to answer certain questions because they don't want you to know the truth. Then turn around after calling customer care and have someone sit and do the customer care lip flapping. Then when you agree to have the service done they tell you again that it was done when it wasn't. They're a bunch of liars here so my review may not sway you, so find out for yourself. But, watch to make sure it's being done. read more

Today a nail punctured one of our tires so we immediately took the car to Discount Tire on Plaza Drive in Oceanside, CA. The staff was very friendly and the service was prompt. The employees really work fast and efficiently. Even though I was there for a puncture, Alex filled the air in all of my tires. He also torqued all of the the tires and cleaned all of them as well. I am very impressed that a national chain performs such incredible service. I will definitely buy tires from Discount Tire in the future. read more

I bought tires 4 years ago. Anytime I had a puncture, issue, flat; they replaced it or fixed it quickly, on a walk in. Today, brought in my toyota truck, had a flat. My guess is that in re-airing & re-balancing the tires, perhaps the Discount Tire in Escondido did not put the old wheel cover on the 1 year old wheel back on as tightly as the 3 new tires that just used the same wheel covers from the old one. Anyhow, now I have 3 back up wheel covers from O'Reilly in case anything else mysteriously flies off, and many thanks again to Jaime for the complimentary service even triple checking my new tires and their wheel covers too!

As a woman, I honestly felt like if I had brought the car back to them, they may have tried to take advantage of the situation instead of taking accountability. Save yourself the trouble and go to Allen's Wrench or even Walmart across the street for an oil change instead. This place is ridiculous.

BAIT & SWITCH! DO NOT GO HERE! I called for an estimate on a oil change, giving the specific year,…read moremake, and model (there is only 1 engine type), and the mechanic looked it up and said it would be ~$75 all in (labor, recycling, etc). I verified that it would need synthetic oil. Less than 10 mins later, I was there and spoke to the same mechanic who called me by name. After the oil change, the final invoice was $95 all in and the mechanic said it was because it needed "full" synthetic. Since he had looked it up, and that there is only 1 engine type for the year, make, and model, it is strange that the oil type would change, and if so, why didn't he tell me when I arrived? Had I known, I would have gone somewhere else. ADDITIONALLY, the mechanic recommended services at 15K miles (only in another 3,873 miles!!!) , that the car with only ~11K miles on it, needed 1) an alignment check (didn't say based on what), 2) brake fluid change, 3) differential service with fluid change, 4) clutch fluid change, for a total of $334. I expressed doubt, and he turned the screen towards me and it appeared it was not from the make of vehicle company, but their own software. Even though I don't know much about cars, this sounded crazy to me for a low-mileage ~3 year old car. Indeed, I later checked the maintenance manual and it says that the next recommended is at 18K miles (not 15K), and is only an oil change+tire rotation. The manufacturer's recommendations for what Firestone recommended are: 1) alignment check - no recommendations, from my reading you do not need to have your alignment checked unless your car is pulling from straight, or was in a front-end accident, 2) brake fluid change at 30K miles, 3) differential fluid change at 60K miles, 4) clutch - inspection only at 12K, 24K miles. So as you can see, this Firestone branch is clearly is trying to get less knowledgeable customers (I am a woman who doesn't know much about cars) to get unnecessary maintenance.
