Always good service. The wait time is the only downside. They usually get you in and out with no issues.

I came in with my spare on and flat in the hatchback. After a consult I bought 4 new tires. I'm as broke as everybody, so I emptied my bank account thinking at least the car would run so I could work. They promised an hour I had to leave after two, so I could keep my job to pay for the four new tires. They threw the car together even the sensors didn't work. Fast forward, in a thunderstorm a tire blows, no spare, no jack, they didn't put them back in the car, they didn't call me either to let me know they still had my spare. Looking for there number to call I can trace doing business with them over 4 cars and 15 years. I called, turns out they don't give a crap. You stranded at the side of the road Whatever, they didn't replace your jack and spare whatever. So I have to buy a new spare to get the car off the side of the road and get it somewhere to buy a tire. I thought the guy at the store was NOT HELPFUL, so I went to the website, they could get back to me in 2 business days, it's Friday so I guess they can get to me next Tuesday, I have the same thing as everybody, kids, sick parents, I can't be 4 days without a car. I left work on a wet morning after working 12 hours. I noticed my car wasn't handling as usual and a sound from my driver side tire. The censor said that it was low. I had just had all tires changed to nitrogen the evening before. I thought it had to do with that. I thought, "who is open this early on a Saturday morning?" It was suggested to go to Discount Tires. I'll never regret it!!! (I had a different experience at another store across town last year on Hwy 281.) Marshall and the folks over there took care of me!!! He greeted me as I walked in. He was very polite and professional. He reassured me with, "...I'm going to take care of you." And he did!!! We both saw a screw in my tire. After the work was done, a nail was in there too. Discount Tire is the go-to place for all things tire related. My husband swears by their service and quality, so I've started to take my car there now. I arrived at this location for my 5:30 p.m. appointment and wasn't greeted when I got in line for service. In fact, I stood there for 15 mins before someone finally looked up and said, "Picking up?" "Oh, no but..." "Anyone else picking up?" The attendant looked around and no one spoke up so then he looked back at me and said, "How can I help you?" Well... after that exchange, I was a bit miffed. He very rudely helped look me up in the system, didn't quite understand when I said Mitsubishi, and he was overall gruff. Now, I know that I'm a female, but I'm a female who knows things about cars, so I don't expect this type of treatment often. Anyways... The reason for this visit was due to a screw being in my tire and needing it repaired; however, when we arrived, it was found that the screw didn't even puncture the tire so no repair would be needed. The guy said he would have the guys check the rest of the tires, put air in and put my tire back on in place of the spare I had on it. OK, great! How long will that take? 1.5 hours. *sighs* For an appointment that started at 5:30, I wasn't even seen till 5:45, and you said I won't get my car back until 7:15? That's quite a while. When we arrived to pick our car up, it was after closing time, so we had to wait outside for someone to come out and help us. We followed the individual through the work shop space (he didn't even say anything along the lines of "Watch your Step!" or "Please be careful") to the retail part of the store and he said, "What car are you picking up?" "Mitsubishi Outlander Sport" He turned around and was having trouble locating our key. He asked twice more what car, and I answered twice more. He was frustrated with me, and I was in turn frustrated with him. Overall, I am not a fan of Discount Tire to say the least. They have all the makings of a good company and the warranty on their tires is legit, but they are open ridiculous hours during the week when a majority of their clientele works 8-5 and their appointment times are hardly ever kept or accurate. I think the staff could also use a bit of customer satisfaction training to help ease some of the tension customers feel when dealing with the folks who work there. read more

I do not mind waiting a bit longer due to the current health situation. What I do mind is the people doing the tire balancing not giving a rip about how they do the job. They won't clean the area they are putting on the stick on weights. It will not stick to dirt, I don't care how many times you try. If the customer is required to scrub the rims before they bring the vehicle. Let them know. I'm so tired of the weights flying off after a few miles. I will no longer be using discount tire for this reason. Long gone are the days I want to spend hanging around shops waiting for my vehicle to get done. Least of all, a tire shop. If you don't have enough time to do the job right the first time, what will be the situation for you the second or third time or more? read more

Working on my car ranks up there with invasive dental work and hot stone deep tissue massages. In other words, its torture but somehow these down-to-earth non-jargon using group of guys are the anesthesia to my pain. They know how to speak to you in lamens terms and give you a straight diagnosis, not a bunch of mumbo jumbo you nod to so you don't feel like an idiot. For the last 10 years or so, I've been coming here for all of my tire needs and each time they offer competitive prices on very large brand name products while offering second to none service plans. The few times I've needed to use the service plan, they've fulfilled their part of the deal with no hiccups. The service time is faster than other tire shops and customer service is very good compared to the rest of the industry. If you're near one and you're in need of new tires at an affordable price, come check them out. read more

I've been coming to this location for a few years. It's busy, but they appear to operate smoothly. In my experience, the customer service has always been knowledgeable, easy, and pleasant. I always get the warranty on new tires because they've never hassled me about applying it when something goes wrong (like the split in my tire that brought me here today; I only paid for a new warranty for the new tire). I usually drop off and return to pick up, but the wait is estimated at an hour for waiters. I ended up waiting 1.5 hours, but the windows into the shop mean you can see everyone hustling, so I wasn't tempted to catch the WHAT'S TAKING SO LONG?!s. Plus it's an easy stroll to nearby stores; I did a little Home Depot shopping while I waited. read more

Waited 2 hours for a one tire flat repair. Ridiculous, they did tell me it was going to be a little while, and didn't have a problem with that. But, once I started seeing customer come in after me, and leaving before me, I had to say something. And the gentleman told me there were two appointments ahead of me, after waiting already 2 hours. I got up and left. Went down the street to another shop, (not discount). And it took them less then 10 minutes, almost want to say about 5 minutes. So, this place in 2 hours couldn't give me 10 minutes to repair my tire, truly sad. read more

Friendly enough, but they do push the 'you need ...' and the 'if I were you' advice. This in itself isn't too bad but they then continue to go ahead and price everything up even when you've declined their advice. Then when you've made it quite clear you're still not interested, they'll ask why you don't want to do it. NONE OF YOUR DAMN BUSINESS!! I bought 2 tires from these guys about a month ago and unfortunately due to the terrible condition of the Texas roads I had some putter wall damage on my brand new tire. I ended up going back not having to buy a new tire since they were under warranty. The new tire was put on and my spare was moved back to where it belongs. These guys are honest, quick and efficient. Got a flat on a Thursday and drove right in on a flat and they replaced that one tire and sold me another that was used for a discount(hence the name). I didn't want to buy two, but it was a great deal and the customer service sold me. Unfortunately, the tire they sold me ended up getting a flat on Monday and had a bubble on the sidewall. Jake, who checked it out took a look and decided to swap it out for free. He probably lost some commission on his end, but delivered excellence. You may come in with a crappy day, but the employees are relatable and will do their best to work it out with the customer. Discount is the reason I have bought 10 tires from them so far in the past 5 years. They get 4 stars because of the promised deal of another tire at a discounted price and it did not come through. But it certainly is no reason for me not to come back. I understand their company and their stance in honesty and they wouldn't try and trick their customer. I got off an 11 hour shift and found my driver tire with a flat. I was able to air up and drive to the Live Oak location where I left my car there overnight. In the morning I called the store and spoke to Julian. Unfortunately they did not have the tires I needed but he ordered two new ones from the warehouse. Since there wasn't time to pick up before my shift started he allowed me to leave the car in the parking lot so he could change both front tires later in the day. Cant say enough about Joe! We were on our way out of town pulling a new trailer when I noticed the left tire wobbling. Pulled in and they were super busy. Joe got me in line right away and expedited his guys to take a look. They found wheel was out of round and even tried to give me a used one they had laying around. I almost always choose Discount Tire for their service and prices. This location has, by far, been the most ridiculous location I've been to. Management seems ok, however, I request for my wheels to be taken off by hand because I have aluminum lugs. The technician used a drill and stripped the lugs and a stud. Not only this, but the technician closed the ticket over half an hour before the car was actually ready so I received notification to come back when in reality the service was not yet complete. Unless their technicians get their stuff together I would suggest a different location. read more

I've been coming to discount tire since 2009 and this location is a great example of why. They're fast, friendly, they work together as a team; these guys hustle. I made an appointment to come in (Due to COVID) and they had me in there and took care of my balance and rotation very quickly. Tyrese deserves props for working on my mismatched tire and getting it balanced perfectly even though it's a cheap all-terrain tire. I haven't gone anywhere else in over a decade, and I'll keep going back. P.S. these guys were all taking steps for C-19, they set up shaded waiting areas outside, they were all working in the heat wearing masks, curbside service, they're taking it seriously. read more

I've used this, as well as the O'Connor/Naco location, Discount Tire a couple times in the past, and always left on those occasions feeling like I got bent over in some corporate game of upselling chess. I tried to go local this time, calling about 5 different yellow tire shops, but none of them had what I needed and/or the verbal capability to tell me otherwise, so back to DT I trudged, fully expecting to leave feeling pissed and unduly poor. Oh em gee...NOT the case! Happy dance! I made an appointment over the phone, and at that time expressed that I wanted to keep costs to an absolute minimum. The rep told me that they had appropriate tires starting at $47/per, broke down what the required installation etc fees would be, and related that the appointment would take 45 minutes to an hour. Showed up for the service and everything moved super smoothly - at my request, the rep checked to see if they had any appropriate used tires in stock (sadly, no. But he was very cool/patient about explaining *why* the used ones they did have wouldn't work on my car. ). They apparently didn't have any of the aforementioned $47 tires, either, so I was offered the next-level tires ($69/per, according to the screenshot I was shown) at that $47 price...cool. Long story short, I was driving away 25 minutes later, feeling financially unmolested, in a car that no longer does YouTube-worthy donuts in the rain. read more
