I think they screwed us over. My wife went over there to get a new set of tires. Before she left, I told her to refuse the extra warranty they will try to sell on the tires. It is $33/tire, which is an extra $132. When she came back, I saw that she had bought the warranty. I asked her what happened and she said that they added the warranty without even asking her. Apparently , she had already paid by the time she realized and didn't want to make a fuss about it. She isn't very comfortable at repair shops, which is why she went there to begin with. Discount Tire, in general, has a decent reputation but I guess the St. Charles store is one to avoid. read more

Following week I had a 4 wheel alignment done to ensure the issue wasn't my car, GM didn't find an issue, alignment was a little out. A week Later I contacted TireRack, told them Tires still did not feel right, and asked what could we do? They offered me a New set of Tires, but it had to be the same tires. So I got New tires, had them delivered to this store (again). Had a conversation with the manager Tim. who let me know that based on my review, they did have their balance machines checked and one was out of tolerance. He did call me, but I didn't pick up. So, I bought new tires because they were 11 yrs old, good tread, But sensors were dying. No issues with my car handling. 4 trips to tire store, 1 trip to dealer. vibrations are gone. TireRack lived up to my expectations, But still can't give discount tire a good review. Will run the tires for another 2 months then get my alignment checked again and tires re-balanced. I got a 70 rebate on my new and expensive tires but I feel better now driving my car I hope the tires will not disappoint me in the winter. This place is pretty great. Today we brought the car in because a tire has been leaking air. They discovered the tire was totally fine. The rim was corroded. I wasn't ready to purchase a new rim. They used a drill and wire brush to remove the corrosion and put the tire back on. Didn't charge us anything. I've never bought anything from DT, but they still did the investigation and minor repair for free. Other places nearby will charge you by the 30 / 60 min time frame to do anything to the car. DT was very friendly and does basic tire work for free (balancing and rotating). Will be taking my tire business there in the future. read more

I've always had great experiences here. I recently came in because my tires were wayyyyyy run down. While my dealership didn't care and didn't offer to assist me in any way (despite having less than half the amount of miles on my tires as their warranty was good for), I took the initiative to call the tire company and they told me to take them to one of their approved service providers to see what they could do. I called before I arrived to be sure they knew how to help. When I arrived, they knew who I was and made the phone call for me and were able to assist me with my tires. I got a nice set of new tires for a good price and they were very helpful in laying out my options for me. We bought 4 new tires 9 months ago, one had a very slow leak from the start, we needed to add air about once a month. Today we noticed a big gouge in that tire, deep enough that you can see the metal radial inside. We took it back, they said the tire is just fine, and does not need to be replaced. This tire is unsafe and will not last. I am afraid it will blow out on the highway at some point. We will never buy here again. BEWARE. Check any tires you buy carefully, and check the manufacture dates on the tires. read more
