My tire pressure was low so I went to go get it checked super early in the morning. This guy was outside filling someone else's tires. When I pulled up, the guy (Carlos) met me with a smile and he was really nice about everything. He even checked my spare which is suuuper hard to take out/put back. I visited your store on Saturday May 11 at approx 11am via an appointment. After tire balance and rotation I noticed the left rear wheel center cap hanging loose from the wheel center. It was cracked in 2 places! It was brought to the service center rep immediately who offered to replace for free. I accepted the offer and will receive a call this week, which means I have to go back to discount tire for the stupidity and rushness of the tire balance and rotation. Why is service lacking in this area? My boyfriend took his truck in a week ago to the same place for 2 new tires, his hubcaps were not tightended appropriately. I took my vehicle in to QUEBEDEAUX for oil change and tire rotation. This is during the Covid pandemic, the first week that businesses were allowed to open. Covid cases continued to increase in the state of Arizona. I was greeted by someone who was not wearing any personal protective equipment, and who came within 2 feet of my face to check in my vehicle. I asked To step back 6 feet, and why no one was wearing a mask. He said "because I don't have to." Other employees were standing one foot apart conversing. I did not see anyone with any personal protective equipment. This is not protecting the clientele. At DISCOUNT TIRE, down the street, all employees were wearing masks, WERE VERY COURTEOUS, and they had a touchless system where the vehicle owner stays in the car and drives the car into the bay for the work to be done. read more

I went to discount tire off of tanque verde and kold today and told Jacob on the phone, I want my the 2 back tires rotated to the front and put 2 new tires on the back and of course the representative Jacob I talked to on the phone in the AM hours today said I need 4 new tires when I got there in the PM time, Jacob said I need 4 new tires when I kept questioning, do I REALLY need those other 2 new tires, I didn't think I needed them. My mistake, I got the 2 extra New tires but on top of that MY 4 New tire tube caps that I just bought were NOT on my new tires, I realized that when I got home they there where generic grey basic tire caps that are not as nice as the ones I had on may car, not expensive bought I with my own money. So I called the store and talked to Jacob, he said they always replace the caps but HEY if the caps are NOT the rubber plain grey cheap caps you should GIVE the caps back to the owner that were on the car when I drove in. Was told OH we always replace the caps with a new tire, but we have caps like the one you have, come back and we will replace them, WHY DO YOU HAVE TO REPLACE THE CAPS IF YOU JUST PUT THE ORIGINAL CAPS BACK ON WHEN I DROVE INTO YOUR STORE was told they don't keep them anymore and I just left 5 minutes ago when I Made that call... So I moved to Tucson about 18 months ago and have 'had' to visit Discount Tire 4 times since. Either the roads here are awful of I'm doing something wrong because I've had four nails, screws or other foreign objects puncture my tires here. Every time I've been there, the team has been prompt, courteous and respectful. Everyone wears their mask all the time too. The tires I bought (full-set) were priced competitively and I was able to take advantage of a promotion so what more could I ask. I'll be back! I still love this store. Last week I pulled in there in a rental car that had a small nail in one tire. They fixed the tire and got me on my way to my vacation, within 15 minutes. Comparatively, this is a mid-range Discount Tire Co. They perform the same quality of work (at least, it seems that way) but waits are longer and the sales reps aren't as knowledgeable as at other locations. Discount Tire Co is awesome in general, they offer excellent warranties on their tires at no additional charge and have great customer service if there is a problem with anything. For a warranty example, after 2 years of driving my tires were wearing unevenly. I assumed it was the alignment so I had that looked at but my alignment was fine. I took my car to this Discount and after a few hours of them looking at my car they gave me new tires (I got to choose which I wanted) and gave me a prorated price. I didn't have to argue with them and I got four new BF G-Force tires for about 100 + my broken old tires. I would recommend Discount to anyone. They have good prices and have locations all over the place. read more

I scheduled an appointment to get my tires rotated. But, when I arrived, they didn't have my appointment in their system and had to re-enter it. There were many people in the showroom and it was difficult to find a place to park. In about 15 minutes, a salesman looked at my tires and said they couldn't rotate the tires because one had little tread left. He gave me an estimate for new tires but was unable to print or email the estimate, which I thought strange. So, I went to C and J Auto, who gave me much better service and equivalent tires for far less money. It only took them about 45 minutes to install the tires even though I didn't have an appointment. read more

I love Discount Tire. It's an institution. It's fulfilled all of my tired needs since I got my driver's license. I've never dreamed of going anywhere else. Where else would I go? Maybe not to this location. Not anymore. Maybe another location. I don't want to come down too hard on this location, because I don't suppose they're doing anything really wrong, but I felt sort of wronged when I took my car in last week. I just needed them to see if I had a leak in my tire. 30 minutes goes by. Everyone in the lobby when I arrived leaves. A new batch of customers arrive. 30 minutes later they're gone. I'm still waiting. Another hour, three Phoenix magazines, and seven rage texts to my husband and still, nothing. Yes, they were busy, but clearly not busy enough to service anyone who came in after I did. It was kind of a real bummer. Discount Tire, you don't have to give my priority, but how about some reassurance when inspecting a tire takes almost two hours? I would appreciate that more than the free water you offer your customers. read more

I hate these guys. I really despise places that mask customer service for sales. The whole "I have to come out to your car for an inspection." is complete BS and wastes time and is nothing more than an attempt to increase their sales. This isn't just some off-the-cuff review based upon 1 experience. In the '90's this location was one of the best in Tucson - then around 2000 they changed their SOP to include their "inspection." When I go into a tire place and say I want a 205/70/15 tire - that is what I want. I don't want some condescending tire monkey saying that he has to go out and physically look at the tire before he can sell it to me crap. The guy goes out looks at the tire and says the exact same thing that I said. So, I turn to him and I say "I just told you the same thing. It would be beneficial if you start listening to what your customers say, rather than having to prove/disprove them right/wrong." Stood there with a +don't know what to say+ look on his face. I jumped in my car and went over to Jack Furriers on Palo Verde. Didn't have to wait in line for 10mins - didn't have to prove that I know what I want - and had the tire mounted/balanced and out of there in 5 minutes flat. In all fairness, this review wasn't for this store, but for the newest location on Kino Parkway (not listed). However, Discount Tire's sales tactics are location constant. I have been a Discount Tire customer since the late 70's and always had a good experience there. Recently I needed 2 13" tires for a utility trailer so I dismounted them from the trailer and brought them in into the "bright and shiny" new store on Kino Parkway, close to my work. I was quoted approx. $170 out the door, which I thought was a bit high, but was in a hurry so agreed and paid the invoice. I was never given a breakdown of the costs. The invoice was emailed to me and I reviewed it that evening. The tires were less than $50 each but all the other "extras" constituted an additional $61, including "installation" at $20 per tire, which I felt wasn't warranted, along with the road hazard coverage for the additional $21. As customers know and expect from DT, they want to hear from you, which I did in a return email to the Manager. 10 days, no response. So I had to go in personally for an explanation. "Installation" is de-mounting the old tire, mounting the new one, valve stem, balance, etc. Road hazard is self explanatory, but had I been given the option I would have declined (it's a utility trailer). I take full responsibility for not challenging the cost at point of purchase but my "bitch" is that they don't disclose this info up front AND "extras" that equal 60% of the cost of the tire seems outrageous. Consequently when I did some comparison shopping I found same tire for 30% less "out the door"......so just be aware of the hidden costs at DT that their competitors warn you about. I work on cars and always send my friends when they ask me where to replace their tires to Discount tires. lately, I've been very disappointed. I haven't received the warranty as promised, and my friends that had service with them have been screwed up. After a 4 tire replacement, it's stated that 45k is the warranty of the tires. I have been given a coupon From Discount Tires for alignment, and alignment has been done right after installing the new tires. Now after less than 3k, the front tires are worn out. Today after a long wait, the representative at the shop did not approve the warranty by stating that is an alignment issue (even tough alignment was done from the advise from D.T. shop and coupon was given since all 4 tires were replaced. ) Tires are worn from inn and out almost equally. Now instead a warranty, I've been offered an expensive deal. read more

I tried to leave work only to find my car with a nearly flat tire. By the time I decided I needed to call Discount, it was 5:55. I called to ask what time they closed, the man said "6 but come on down we'll help you out." By the time I got there it was 6:10. I didn't expect them to fix my tire, but hopefully they could at least fill it with air? Way better than that. 20 minutes later I was on the road fixed up and ready to roll. The manager Joe was super friendly and took the time to explain to me what happened with my tire. Going to discount is mg least favorite thing to do. We brought our car in for a flat tire and they called to tell us they couldn't find the tire lock. We told them where it was. Later when we picked it up we found out that the tire was not repaired because they could not find the tire lock but the tire lock was exactly where I told them it was. Not happy. read more

Amazing customer service! I've been to this location twice now since moving to Tucson 3 months ago. Both times I have been very impressed with their level of customer service. I feel they deserve a detailed review on why their service and pricing is worth 5 stars in my opinion. I've been a customer of America's Tire/Discount Tire since 1997 and will continue to be a loyal customer. They match competitor's pricing. However, the last few times I've shopped for tires their price was already better than Costco and Tirerack.com. My first experience at this location, I needed to check to see why there was a slow leak on a tire. I wasn't sure if it was because the tire wasn't repaired correctly the week before in Cali. Turns out for some unknown reason the tire was slowly leaking at the bead/rim. There was nothing physically wrong with the tire or rim. But because I had bought the warranty Tim suggested we could just replace the tire. Tim's customer service really impressed me. It was friendly, helpful, and most of all genuine. From the start Tim, without me even asking; told me he would be very careful with my rim/tire(problem with taking off/installing low profile tires). After explaining the issue to me, he answered my follow up questions/listened to my thought process on how I wanted to proceed. The whole time being attentive, friendly, and smiling. He shook my hand, thanked me for coming and said something along the lines of "let us know how we can help." Today I called in and spoke to Leo. Due to a Tucson pothole a tire tore open by the rim. I needed a tire ASAP(no spare). The tire needed to be special ordered. Hoping to not wait, I called Costco. Costco needed to do the same and cost quite a bit more. When I pointed out their price was less on their website,he told me I should buy it online. He also didn't offer to help with any other solutions. Leo and I came up with a solution. It was to order the tire and put on a loaner tire. Problem is the size I needed or anything close wasn't available at their location. He offered to call around to the other locations and try to locate a loaner tire close to my size. Great customer service. Instead of making the customer call around, he took the time to deal with it. Since I had Leo on the line and I needed to buy tires soon on another car, I asked for a quote. Instead of trying to get me off the phone, he politely took the time to figure the pricing and how quickly he could get the tires in. Once again their price was better than Costco and Tirerack. When I got to the shop, Leo was on break so Raul helped me. Leo had saved detailed notes making it quick for Raul to see what I needed. The friendly, patient, polite and genuine customer service continued with Raul. We went out to measure all my tires(typical procedure). While doing that, I wanted to double check there wasn't going to be any issues with the warranty for replacement on one of the 4 tires on the other car(happened last time in Cali). Raul politely answered my question, and reassured me there wouldn't be any issues. While writing me up for the ONE tire I needed ASAP, I figured I'd ask Raul how low the rear tires were. The last time I checked myself was a few months ago. He read off the measurements and they were close to being worn. I decided to just replace all four tires on my own. Raul didn't try to up-sale me by saying for example how he measured and I need new rear tires soon/now. It was apparent the tires needed to be replaced soon but that they were still safe to drive on. I' m sure if the tires were completely worn, he would have said something. Raul respected that I came in knowing exactly what I wanted and wasn't pushy. The technician that worked on my car today made a small mistake. He did follow protocol, which is to put the newer loaner tire on the rear. This provides better traction/hydroplaning resistance. However having a car with staggered tire setup, the rear tires being larger do not fit well in the front. Raul actually wanted to make sure there wasn't an issue before I left. Unfortunately there was some minor rubbing. He got my car back into the bay ASAP. Coincidently Tim was the one who came to work on the car. He and another technician swapped the two tires in less than 5 minutes. As he was doing so, he made some small talk with me and was really friendly. At the end, he apologized for the mistake made by another technician, shook my hand and thanked me for coming back. I find it refreshing that Tim talks to his customers with a smile on his face. I have very good experiences at this Discount. I have gone many times over the years with many cars and had mostly good times. I think years ago I had a problem or two with a tire they installed and had to go back and waited way too long. But nothing but smoothness recently and it seems to be the best deal in town considering Costco doesn't supply every vehicle with tires. Discount usually gets to me right away and if I have to wait a while, I just walk over to the ZIA nearby and browse. Discount will give me an estimated time of waiting, and it's usually not correct but I'll chill at their location reading a book or magazine until they get to it. They seem to do a very good job and I get free rotations and balances when I get a tire from them so I pop in every few months to do that. The prices are fine and overall good tire place! I think it is rare that a tire store could earn 5 stars. After all anything car related (unless it is shopping for a new one!) I find mind numbingly boring. Additionally, I was a Jack Furriers customer for years. However after calling ahead, then arriving and waiting 2.5 hours with a 1 year old I vowed to never again use Jack Furriers. (I find it bizarrely strange that they refuse to make appointments). Hence my move to Discount Tire. On this trip I popped in and as I entered I had 3 different people greet me. That day it would have been over an hour wait, so I made an appointment for several days later. When I arrived for my appointment I had an employee greet me at my car (I love all the friendly employees), I checked in quickly, got myself a complimentary bottle of water, sat down and approximately 20 minutes later was handed my keys. My tires were checked, rotated, and my wheels wiped down! Plus it's all free since I bought my tires from them after my last regretful Jack Furriers experience. One little extra that would be appreciated... Free Wifi while you wait! But when it only takes 20 minutes I guess it's not really necessary. Ooh I also wish they did oil changes, but I suppose the idea of doing one thing really well may apply here. read more

SPEEDWAY AND ALVERNON LOCATION IS THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! 3 TIMES IN A ROW! The Discount Tire on Speedway and Alvernon has been nothing but trouble. The first time I went to that location they took several hours and never called me when my car was done. The second time I went, I got a repair done and they took over an hour to tell me its not repairable and could order a tire. After I brought it back a second time for that tire to be installed they took all my specialty caps off and never got them back. The third and last time I went to this location, I went for another repair. The tire was new so it was covered but upon arriving they said they would call me on my cell or find me in the lobby when they were finished. Guess what?! after an hour and a half FOR JUST A REPAIR WITH APPOINTMENT! I finally walk up to the desk and ask if it is done because I did not see the car. He asked his tire guy, came back, and said "ya its done its in our back lot." Okay? so where's the heads up? I have things to do so why am I sitting here in the lobby with no call on my cell or announcement in the lobby? No, he did not apologize for the mistake nor did he admit it. To finally top it all off this guy tells me he lost my screw top for the spare...... Thats it? Not gonna look for it or apologize or anything at all? He expected me to just be okay with that? It's never fun to have tire problems, but the guys at Discount make it as painless as possible. I noticed one of my front tires was looking flat, even after I had put air in it, so I made an appointment to swing by Discount on my way home from work. I was quickly helped by the guys up front. After waiting about 30 minutes, the service technician brought both of my front tires inside the store. One of the front tires was pretty warped with a large bump.Thankfully, that tire was covered by Discount's warranty, and they replaced it an no charge. The tire that originally brought me in had a nail in it, and while they said they could patch it, they noted its tread was low and would need to be replaced soon anyways, so I opted for a new one. I liked that they actually brought the tires in for me to see. It made me feel better to be able to see the damage for myself before I shelled out the money to fix it. I was in and out in just over an hour, but the waiting wasn't too bad since they have plenty of comfortable chairs, magazines, and free water and coffee. I definitely recommend Discount for all your tire needs! read more

TPMS light came up on our road trip and decided to search for the closest Discount Tire. This one popped up and we drove in. The waiting area is definitely very small compared to our local Discount Tires. Was also very busy. Waited about 15 minutes for the customers in front of us to be finished. Once it was our turn, explained our situation and the rep said he would take a look and would take about 90 minutes. Phew, quite the wait...was closer to 2 hours, but the waiting area A/C was very strong, had complimentary coffee and cold bottles of water. Once we asked after 90 minutes the status, they explained where we were at. Turns out there was a nail in one of our tires. They patched it and we were on our way, no charge. Definitely a fan of Discount Tires. Would have been 5 star experience if it wasn't for all the waiting. Busy is good, suppose that's a good thing. read more

My husband hit a pot hole and took a chunk out of both tires and rims. We took it into our business accounts tire place, left it there all day, and they never touched it. We decided to make an appointment at Discount Tires, and it was the best decision we've made in a while. Thank you to Anthony Cuevas for the excellent customer service! They advised we don't NEED to get new tires once they checked it out, and it would be safe to drive if we chose not to do so. We decided to get them anyways because my husband did not like how it looked. They finished in the time they advised, which was 45 minutes, and called us right away once it was completed. They gave us an honest opinion on our vehicle, which most places (last place we took it included) wanted us to get new tires so that they could make money.
