What a racket. Was promised different prices by two salespeople and ended up with a third salesperson that wanted $40 more! I didn't have much choice as my service was already installed, but a month later paid over $400 to cancel the service. First installer never showed up and no one had any record of previous calls! Will never do business with them again. FYI- used to be you could record as many shows that you want and now if you choose more than 2 shows in a time slot you have to choose which one to delay or it won't even bother to record. I signed up for dish one month ago because they advertised that the Blazers will be on Root sports. No surprise, just before the Blazers game pre-season, they cancelled Root sports. Their "customer resolution", rep named Marcella, said they can only offer me a $20 one time refund and I need to pay $20 a month cancellation fee and that it was not false advertising. Marcella also said she was the highest level of customer resolution service and that there is no one else I could talk to. She refused to negotiate any time of cancellation fee and basically stonewalled me. Congratulations Dish TV. You got my $480 and lost a customer for life. I will also work hard, like Marcella and tell everyone how much Dish TV sucks and lies to get a buck. I hope Dish TV enjoys the feeling of decline as the other streaming services gets their business. read more

I wish I could give Dish less stars than one. They are predators of our senior citizens! My parents have Dish. My family went together to buy them a decent HD TV. We went out to their house to set it all up. The picture looked terrible. Mom told me they'd received a new box two years ago. Get this--that "new" box was ANALOG. And so I called Dish and had to schedule a technician to come out with a new box on another day. The technician came out and also had to replace the outside dish (which wasn't an HD dish). Even more incredible, this jerk charged my parents $40 for an HD cable when an HD cable we'd just bought was already sitting there, attached to the TV. We paid $5 for ours on Amazon but.. you guessed it. We weren't there so of course my they innocently paid it. They think he's a nice guy. Sure he is, all the way to the bank. read more

Disappointed. First technician used an energy drink can to prop up the satellite. He rigged a cable quite tacky onto our house. Second tech left and then we found out we had no volume. Third guy that came left all kinds of equipment here that we have to box up and send off. Operator said our bill was $32.00. She never added taxes or equipment cost so now our bill is $66.00. read more

Worst customer service experience ever! Not only took 3 calls to get my service up & running, but had last representative hang up as I was requesting crediting my account back the charges the company processed that day with addition of services that weren't what we needed. I welcomed Dish Network sales associates into my home to listen to their sales pitch. I had been a long time happy customer with Direct TV. They told me not only could I save money but could get NFL Sunday ticket if I got the app and paid for the package. I was wrong. After their install, we tried to get it on opening season. They failed to tell us it's only good for people in condos and apartments. They completely deceived us to get our business. I think I will sue them for misrepresenting their offer. read more

I have been a DISH customer for less than a month and have ran into issue after issue problem after problem. I was charged $86 to have them come out and put it up. Then less than three weeks later was charged another $86. With nothing but headaches in between those three weeks while needing another tech person to come out and readjust the dish. They wanted to charge me another $50 to have the tech come out and do that. I try to get out of the contract and their supervisor / manager whatever kept telling me I'm locked in for two year contract. It was by far one of the dumbest things I've done in my life. I would never refer anybody to them and I hope that this will help you to decide not to get roped into a two-year deal with DISH. Me being a sports fan They assured me that they would get a deal done with the NFL network before the season started. How about not throwing someone into a 2 year agreement for internet. I am a long time customer with cable and wanted to bundle so I did everything through Dish. Cable. Internet and phone. Unbeknownst to me, the same gigs I had with Centrylink do not work with Dish. I cannot do my work from home or steam due to the lack of internet. When I called to cancel the internet I am being told that I will be be billed an early cancellation fee of $250! WOW! Really? Why would I want to stay with a company for my cable and phone when they want to penalize their long time customers for having to get rid of internet, not because we want to but because we have to because their internet that they provide unfortunately DOES NOT WORK to the speed we need. We would have chosen to still use DISH services for phone and cable but not now beings we are being penalized! we have no interest in staying as DISH customers due to this specific issue. The ABSOLUTE the worse company for internet. What they present as a fast 4G turns out to be a very slow DSL line that you share with everyone else in your line. You can get great speeds at 2am but try and open a window at 6:15pm and you'll get a "non-responsive" warning and a message to kill the window. If there were another option (besides Direct) in my area I would switch in a heartbeat. read more

Never thought any company could have worse service than Comcast, I was wrong. First I was told I would pay one rate for two years, then when my rate nearly doubled at 1 yr anniversary I was told that's what I signed up for. Then the customer service nightmare began. They were rude and unhelpful. They bounced me from person to person. Each time I was told something it turned out to be just another lie. I can not give them even 1 star right now as they do not hold to their word. Unfortunately where I live they are the only service I can get. Boy I wish I could have Comcast back. They were the best. Dish says they will be at your house between a 4 hour window then it turns into a 6 to 8 hour window so plan on your whole day being messed up and don't plan nothing else. Matter of fact may be a good idea to take two days off just to be safe they will show up ok they make you select a rating mine is really 0 but have to put one. read more

Good as a DVR service - horrible customer and community service member. We are saddened by this company and their choice in dealings with the most important part of their business - part of whom they just lost. Loyal customer for multiple years, each outreach for service of any kind has yielded no support in an outcome suitable to retain our commitment. Apple/Comcast/Sling here we come! Wish I could give no stars. I recently had to move and thought I could bundle easier and maybe cheaper with Dish, replacing Directv and Xfinity. To recap: I only have 5 of the 7 channels I was promised and am now told I have to upgrade to 250 channels to get those two (at $50/month extra); they don't provide the HS internet, they farm it out to Century Link in my area - read those reviews, I don't need to add more. Needless to say, I still don't have internet, and don't know if they are even going to come back and try again. When I contact Century Link they tell me to ask Dish; when I contact Dish they say to call some other number - which I keep getting disconnected after being juggled from agent to agent. I write an email voicing my frustrations and am offered the same damned thing they offer everyone, HBO for $10/month....I don't want HBO - I don't want any pay-channels and have made that abundantly clear. All of the agents must read off the same script and talk a great game but I feel really stupid for not just transferring what I had because what I have now sucks. read more

After my box died, I was told that there is no place local I could go and get another one, and no one that could drop a new box off. They would send me another one through UPS in 2-4 days. I received an email with my address conformation and it was incomplete. So I called dish and they said there was nothing they could do because UPS had it. So now it will be delayed even longer. My husband and I are retired and disabled and watching tv is pretty much all we do all day long. I asked the dish rep to look up my account and tell me how much time is left on my contract. He asked why and I told him that as soon as it is done, I'm going to another cable company. At that point he said let me connect you with a supervisor, he should be able to make things better for me. So I get connected to the super. and I have to explain the story all over again. Then I get the same rhetoric from the super. as I did from the other guy. And, then he says we can send an installer out tomorrow morning to take care of it for you!! WTH!!! I guess you only get good customer service if you complain to a supervisor - I HATE THAT!!! I asked Dish TV to send me a copy of my contact and I received it today​, they made a mark on the contact, DEFINITELY NOT MY SIGNATURE, you can read my signature and the name on this contract is NOT my name. The so callef President of this fraudulent company said any mark is the signature. BULL SHIT, that is FRUAD and a CRIME. They said they sent me the contract in the mail after installation. They did NOT!!!! I KEEP every thing organized in a drawer for up to 4 years. And there is nothing from dish at all. I'm putting them on every site I can and filing another complaint to the Oregon Dept. Of Justice, Consumer Of Complaints. My first complaint filed, they told me that there is thousands of complaints regarding DISH TV. DO NOT GET SERVICE FROM DISH TV. I'm also filing a complaint with the Police Department.
