Yesterday evening my friend and I stopped in at DISH SoCIETY Katy/Cinco Ranch Blvd. The food was delicious . I had pork belly and watermelon, sounds odd but was so good. I also tried the shrimp and grits. It too was delicious! The portions are big, so I had plenty to bring home. Neat, clean, nice and it wasn't so loud. Trent was our servicer. He was right on. Was hopeful that the food would be good bummed they have MSG in the bacon! Barely made it out of the place with a bad stomach ache and more if you know what I mean!! I only get this reaction when MSG is used. First and last visit here. I was only to be able to eat one of the breakfast tacos when I realized I was in trouble! You need a bigger sign telling people which way to go to order. With the register on the bar it looks like you want to the bar to order. Watched one couple walk in and no one bothered to them where to go so they turned around and left! There were four people behind the bar they all had their backs to the door talking and laughing. I love everything Dish Society has to offer. From the atmosphere to the service to the food! The food is very fresh and authentic. At a brunch place, I always try their basic eggs and bacon and toast. Who knew something so basic could be so perfectly yummy? Dish Society did it wonderfully, along with a cup of delicious fresh fruit--and not that cantaloupe and grape nonsense. Highly recommend! read more

This is a great place to get breakfast but a word of warning, it will be packed! The menu is geared more toward health consumers with a simple dinner menu that everyone can enjoy. The baked potato and brisket was a unique choice that I thoroughly enjoyed. It seems to be a casual spot where the locals go to hangout and sip on their favorite import as well. My wife and I have been here twice now and had the same problem. The food is good but has arrived cold each time and the servers haven't been attentive. The first time we let it pass the place was busy but the second time it was practically deserted and the Service was still pretty bad. read more

Ate here with a party of three twice in as many days and it was very lackluster. We had the lemon shrimp pasta: the shrimp was clearly very pre-cooked and held in reserve and the pasta was very overdone. Sauce was tasty. We also tried the turkey avocado...it was nice and probably the best item. Then we had the shrimp and grits--this was the dish that left the most to be desired. The grits were very, very creamy--almost whipped--and tasted nice BUT they were lukewarm on the outside and cold in the middle. And there were the same stale-tasting shrimp. The last dish was the brussels sprouts and bacon--they were delicious. All in all, a mixed experience. I'm 100% behind the concept of this place and will try it again soon--but maybe they need a little more help in the kitchen (and I say that constructively!). read more

Last minute plans for Breakfast. Yelped this place and found some great photos, enticed by the vanilla almond milk latte. Service was great, our food arrived almost immediately. Ordered the brisket and eggs. The grits were a beautiful compliment. Would have ordered a full side had I had known in advance how amazing for they were. We love Dish Society! We have a craving for their Pretzels and Smoked Gouda Queso far too often. I highly suggest giving those a try, they're addicting! I was excited when I saw this place open in La Centerra, but I was not very impressed when I ate here. I ordered a juice (entry level) and the chicken pasta. I loved the juice, but I didn't enjoy the pasta very much. Personally, the pasta reminded me of the frozen TV dinner pastas you can buy from the grocery store. Overall, this is nice location to meet for brunch, but I am not a huge fan of the food. read more

Sooooo I was actually here in Friday for a double date and let me tell you, it was fan-freaking-tastic. Shrimp tacos, brisket sweet potato, brisket sandwich and shrimp pasta were had and all were excellent. Even the drinks were spot on, shout out to the old fashioned! Hey-o!! We tried this place a few weeks ago based on needs for a big group for a brunch time meet up. While the menu is varied, it seemed a little pricey. The restaurant itself is small, but the seating outside makes it possible to have a larger group. The ordering station is right where the drinks are so if it's crowded, you have to cut in line or mix with all the people in the tiny space ordering to get a refill. Staff was friendly enough, though not informative at the ordering table and no one asked if we were okay after our food was delivered. Not sure if this is the norm. All in all a decent place to meet up with people. Not a place we will go to often as a family, but I can see the appeal. read more

I came in the other day to have dinner, everything was absolutely amazing, the most amazing thing about this place was how much the employees make you feel like family. One of the best experiences I have had with any restaurant. The food was great and was served in no time. My server Jay or Jae was really welcoming and made really good recommendations,checked on us regularly, and made sure everything was going well. Amazing! I loved the coffee crusted pork tenderloin! My black cherry limeade cocktail was perfect with the port cherry sauce!! I had dinner here last night, and the service as well as the food was impeccable! They do full service at night and my waiter was super attentive and thoughtful. Great people. The mashed sweet potatoes were smooth, sweet, and local too! They get em from Spring, TX! Great to hear local businesses support other local businesses. Went on a Friday night and sat on the patio. It was very nice clean, the drinks are amazing I had a Cinoco Mule which is their twist on a mascow Mule it's refreshing. For dinner I have the pulled pork, Mac and cheese and Brussels sprouts. Pull pork was a little to dry for my liking, Mac and cheese was fabulous the the Brussel sprouts hands down winner you have to try them! read more

Though I came for brunch on Sunday, I almost wish there were more options to choose from on the menu. I ended up getting the "build your own omellet" (which is not listed on the menu) and it was pretty good, and VERY cheesy (yay!!!). I also had a mimosa in which I could tell the orange juice was FRESH!!! Although it is a little pricey for the amount of food you get, it is a great spot for those that are trying to eat out on the healthier side, with friendly staff. read more

This was an excellent experience. We went there with myself, my wife, and our two children (age 13 and 9). All of us came out of there saying we will definitely be back. We had the pancakes with white chocolate chips, chicken biscuits with gravy, turkey avocado club, the kids nutella french toast bites, a side of bacon, and beignets to finish it off. Every single dish we had was wonderful. The chicken biscuits were really well fried and the gravy was perfect. It was a smooth cream gravy without anything like bacon or sausage in it. The price wasn't terrible considering what we ordered. The beignets were not quite as good as New Orleans, but did have a nice sauce that went with them. All-in-all a great experience, and as I said we will be back. read more

I agree with the rating of 3.5 that was Yelp's average for this place. Food is good, not great. Atmosphere could be better if was a seated restaurant as opposed of going in line to order. I had better brisket elsewhere in Katy, but the food presentation and sides were excellent. I may come back again not on Sunday to try their lunch and or dinner menu read more

I went there for brunch a few Sundays ago. It all went wrong since I walked in they did not tell me if I needed to order my food first or wait to be seated. The staffed just stared at me confused. I stood up in front of the sign "please wait to be seated" for a long time, my whole party showed up and no one took the time to re direct us. Until we just figure it out we needed to go and order our food first. Once we got our food I wasn't impressed it did not tasted as good as their San Felipe location, my friends and I were pretty bummed, we have been a fan of Dish Society for a long time and we were excited to have one near us, but it wasn't worth it. This location does an awesome job compared to a few of the others! I eat here every few weeks, and I never have issues with my orders coming out wrong and the food is always good! I decided to hop on here and review this location for that exact reason, plus Elizabeth, the cashier who took my order today , was AWESOME.
