Amazing food and great steady service. When they say the produce and everything is fresh, they mean it. I get coffee a couple places down and see the farmers' trucks unloading fresh produce daily. I don't think you can buy that fresh of a meal anywhere else on this side of town. read more

What a great place to eat out in Katy. The Brussels Sprouts are to die for. The steaks are also very good. Hard to find anything on the menu that isn't excellent. The brisket stuffed sweet potato is a meal for 3 - they are huge and delicious. The wait staff is well trained our waiter Carlo was very knowledgeable about the menu and drinks, he helped stir us since this was our first time. We will ask for him when we go back. The pesto chicken sandwich on pretzel bun was delish, the in-house made sweet potato chips were kinda weird cause they were thick and so crispy without any seasoning. BUT! They have grape Maine Root soda which is hard to find and super tasty and they have a darling atmosphere. We came at a weird time (3:30)when they were switching from lunch menus to dinner menus and from ordering at the bar to sitting down and ordering a table.. So it caused a little confusion about where we wanted to order and from which menu. However, I will say the best part of our experience was Jordan who served us at the bar (after we picked the lunch menu), he was friendly, helpful, and offered great service. read more

I am not quite sure how this place has so many positive breakfast reviews. We showed up to learn that it's basically seat and serve yourselves. Ordered at a counter then waited at our table that had zero silverware nor condiments. Our food arrived and it was bland. For $40 for two adults and a two year old, I'd expect a better meal. My order was incredibly basic (bacon and eggs), toast wasn't toasted. My husband's chicken and biscuits with bacon that was over cooked yet somehow still bland. Now I know why there was zero wait time at dish society but a long line at snooze. Never again. read more

So like the other reviews, the food was good but the service was extremely poor. One of the chairs at our table had caked on food. We had to wait 10 minutes before anyone even visited our table. My mom and I ordered drinks and watched them sit on the bar for 10 minutes getting watered down before they were delivered to our table. We finally got them ourselves. There was a huge bug on our table. My husband killed it, told the server that he needed a new napkin because he used his to kill a bug. The server's response was "no problem". Ummm ok. I got the shrimp and grits. They were different but good. Someone in our party got the salmon and someone else got the steak. Both were vey good. The Mac and cheese was disappointing to me. I have often thought how La Centerra is one of the nicest areas to go out in Katy and yet most of the restaurants do not get great reviews. It seems that is changing with the addition of some decent restaurants and Dish Society is definitely one of them. Farm to table in Katy! Went today with a party of 9 and everyone was pleased. Healthy, fresh, delicious! Some reviewers complained about the counter ordering but I found it to be very efficient and once we sat down at a nice table outside, the service was prompt and courteous. Me and my bro came on a Saturday for brunch. I like the vibe about the place, nice and chill. I'm a brunch type of guy! I got the Pork Belly Hash and a Candy Pecan Pancake!! I also ordered the Strawberry Palmer, the food was real good!! I think it was perfectly cooked. The pancake is not a normal pancake mix pancake. I believe it was a wheat pancake, it had pecans cooked in and also had some on top. Since it's wheat it's naturally a lil drier than a normal pancake,so i suggest a lil syrup on it. The Palmer was refreshing as well, overall a cool lil spot to try when in the Katy/Cinco area. read more

Dish Society is a family favorite! If you love fresh, farm-to-table eating, this is a place for you. We've been a few times, and the food has been great each time. Between myself, my wife, and our friends and family we've had great experiences with the Pork Belly Bites and Pretzel & Cheese apps, Brisket Stuffed Sweet Potato, Coffee Crusted Pork Loin, and Shrimp Tacos entrees, and the Bananas Foster dessert. Their Boozy Milkshakes are always a hit, too. The Texas Carbomb is my favorite. read more

Very good restaurant! Food tastes wonderful, employees are always pleasant, and the chefs are talented! I have a dairy allergy and they were able to ensure I was properly taken care of, including a special dessert offer. When they brought it out, the chef was excited to come and explain it to me himself, which was a great experience! The order was rang up incorrectly for the KidsEatFree promotion, and she took the receipt for us and had the amount refunded to our credit card. I don't like restaurants like this and Zoe's kitchen where you have to order at a counter, so I had low expectations. I went for lunch with my family and we were all pleasantly surprised. What can I say, this place was good! They use local and fresh ingredients in their dishes so everything tastes so fresh! I had the grilled shrimp tacos which were light and tasty. My bf had the brisket stuffed sweet potato which who would have thought would be such a great combination. Our friends had the shrimp and grits and the avocado quinoa salad. The shrimp and grits were okay, I've had this at a lot of different places and I just wasn't that impressed with this version. The avocado quinoa salad was good and a good sized portion. I have held off on rating this restaurant, giving them the benefit of doubt, after a few bad experiences in the beginning, thinking it was just a fluke, since their reviews were good.....but no, i can honestly say i am not impressed with anything they have to offer. Service was good at ordering counter, but that is where everything ended...only one of our dishes came complete as per menu description, the rest sadly had ingredients and main components missing, to which their reply was (without any apology) that "they ran out"...keep in mind that this is on 4 different orders that wasn't complete!! Can this not be relayed prior to ordering and paying full price for half an order? With many amazing restaurants around, i will not recommend this place! read more

First time at Dish Society. My husband and I ordered the fish tacos and chicken tortilla soup. The soup was tasty with a good amount of chicken. The fish tacos were pretty bad. It was mostly coleslaw and a tiny (about 3") piece of overcooked, tough fish. . . . very disappointing. read more
