Lately, I've been craving Pho. Can't explain it and don't really need to know why - just need to know of places like District 7 Pho, where they are and what their hours are so I can go and get my fix. This place, I found by accident. When taking my mom shopping next door - told her let's grab lunch - and just walked on over. Saturday - lunch time. One person at the counter - cashier/host/server. I'm sure there was someone in the back otherwise for the FOH, it was a one person show. She was pretty on it by herself. Not packed but steady with what appeared to be take out or deliveries. In other words, service was good. Same with the food. Pho always comes up fast and hot. Felt bad because my mom's dish took a little while. Good thing the spring rolls also were served fast so she wasn't stuck just watching me eat. Back to the food .... Pho was nice and hot. Rich and not too sweet. Lots of ingredients though I would have loved more onions. Spring rolls were standard. Not overstuffed with the greens (see pics). Parking was easy - it's on the Southwest corner of Rancho and Craig. Back behind the gas station. Lots of free parking. Inside was pretty big - tables so it should be ok if you're coming in with a large group. I'm honestly still in disbelief by this experience. I came here on my lunch break and ordered a bowl of pho, and they gave me a bowl that was meant for someone else. It already had bean sprouts and toppings mixed in that the previous customer put in with their bare hands, but it was sent back to the kitchen because im assuming they didn't want it. And instead of discarding it, they used that persons pho and gave it to me instead. To make it worse, when I pointed it out, they didn't remake it. I was on a lunch break and was told a new bowl would take too long, so I was basically stuck with it. This is a serious hygiene issue and completely unacceptable for any restaurant. I'm always craving pho. Like always. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, late-night snack... you name it, I WANT PHO. But finding truly good pho in Las Vegas has been a challenge. Too often the broth tastes like bouillon cubes, or it's overly salty, greasy, or just plain disappointing. After several visits to District 7 Pho, I can finally say with confidence: This is the BEST pho in Las Vegas! Here's what we enjoyed on our latest visit: * Thai Tea ($6.00) - Tasty and adorable, complete with a happy little face on the sealed lid. * Iced Coffee ($6.00) - Sweet and creamy, almost like a fancy chocolate milk. The lid's face had a bit of attitude, which made us laugh. * Pork Eggrolls ($9.95) - Four crunchy, pork-filled rolls with authentic Vietnamese flavor. Always a favorite. * Fried Tofu/Beef Meatball/Fried Wonton Appetizer ($7.95) - Too heavy on the fried items and lacking in presentation. We'll probably skip this one next time. * Pho with Rare Steak ($14.50) - Absolute perfection. The broth was light and fragrant, the steak slices lean and beautifully cut, and the noodles were the proper white rice noodles (Bánh Phở). Served with the traditional bean sprouts, mint, jalapeños, and lime. * Hot Stone Bowl with Rare Steak ($17.95) - A showstopper! Arrived bubbling hot in a stone bowl, with rich, aromatic broth and fresh toppings. The rare steak cooked perfectly in the soup, which had a deeper, brisket-like flavor. Pure comfort food. * Beef Brisket Fried Rice ($14.45) - One of the best fried rice dishes I've had. Huge chunks of brisket and plenty of fresh veggies. * Chicken Fried Rice ($15.00) - Another winner. Generous portion size, easily enough for multiple meals. The restaurant's ambiance is simple and unfussy. The gray-and-white décor with geometric lighting feels modern, softened by faux greenery throughout. It's not spotless, but pho can be messy, and honestly, I'm here for the soup! Love that there is a Vietnamese place in the area when I don't feel like driving all the way to the Asian Market areas. A lot of parking available. Interior was clean, bright and organized. Service was excellent, both friendly and efficient. The prices were very reasonable; probably on the lower end as far as Pho for Vegas. The BBQ pork Banh Mi was perfect in flavor. The bread was lightly crispy outside and soft in chewy inside. One of the best bread on a banh mi I've had in a long time. The food is always so fresh, hot, and full of flavor. I love getting the brisket. It's not too fatty. The service is like going to your families house. They are very warm and inviting. The ambiance is chill. It has a big enough dining area with tables that can be pushed together for larger parties. The price is reasonable. You must try the vietmese coffee. As someone born and raised in Seattle with close Vietnamese friends and family, I've developed a genuine appreciation for authentic Vietnamese cuisine -- so I feel qualified to share an honest assessment here. The pho broth, unfortunately, lacked the depth and complexity that defines a well-crafted beef pho. The noodles also fell short of the soft, chewy texture that makes the dish so satisfying. As you can see the food was not finished. The wings had a promising flavor profile, but were severely overcooked -- the meat was largely dry and inedible, to the point where pieces had to be discarded entirely. On the positive side, the service was attentive, the space is well-decorated and comfortable, and the menu is straightforward and easy to navigate. Those elements were appreciated. That said, based on the food quality alone, this isn't a place I'd return to or recommend to those who have a benchmark for authentic Vietnamese cuisine. I came here because my favorite pho place was closed. After doing some research I came here. I am teally disappointed. I ordered the #15 with Brisket and Rare Steak. The rarest steak was very chewy. The noodles didn't separate how they are supposed to when in the hot broth, they stayed stuck together. Also, the portions here are significantly smaller than most other pho places in the city. They also charge an extra dollar for spice level, who does that? So bizarre. Just put your own jalapeños and it'll be spicy. What I also found bizarre is that they charge a to go fee, which other places don't do either. I pretty much only enjoyed the broth and nothing else. Won't be back. read more

My wife and I live down the street from here and decided to try it out over the weekend. We are from CA so having a vietnamese restaurant (specifically with pho) is nice. When you arrive, there is usually a decent amount of parking. The atmosphere is pretty presentable. There were a few very minor things that made the restaurant look incomplete, but overall clean and plenty of tables. The staff is very friendly and caring. They greeted us when we first walked in and sat us down immediately so that was nice. Asked if we needed help with choosing food from the menu. I ordered the Pho with meatballs, brisket, and rare steak #16. My wife ordered the grilled pork, egg roll, shrimp over vermicelli #39. The pho broth surprisingly was authentic and delicious by itself with no additional ingredients needed. The meats were pretty good, but they could do better with the beef meatballs. That was probably my least favorite of the dish. My wife's grilled pork dish was very underwhelming. It might be the difference in area which is why it was prepared differently, but we did not like how the pork tasted because it felt like it was missing something. The best part of her dish was the eggroll. Overall, I would give this location a 3.5/5 at best being this was our first time. I would still come back for pho unless I wanted to try other dishes on the menu. read more

I've been ordering from district 7 pho for some years. This is the second time I'm grossed out by their meatballs. The emulsified meat's ingredients are supposed to be finally chopped so you don't see or notice a difference in texture. Seems like this could be giant chunks of tripe? I usually have my go to pho places but I was curious to try this place because it was close and on the way to my next destination. Ordering was easy and it was ready super quick! The guy who checked me out upon pickup was friendly and thanked me for trying them. Note though - they do charge a "take out" fee, likely for the to go boxes/containers. I ordered one rare beef and one chicken pho so I could try both broths. I have to say that I prefer the chicken one more - the broth was super clean and delicious. The beef pho had a little bit of a different flavor than others I'm used to. I can't quite say what the flavor was but it could have been an herb added to the broth. Portion size was good. They don't have a large size, only one size and each slice level (1-5) is an additional $1. They claim that their spice is very spicy so you can request it on the side. I've never not finished a pho or didn't take it to go until here, unfortunately. I got the combination pho, and all of the meats looked weird and had a weird texture. It didn't have very many pieces either way. The broth looked good, but it was very salty, even without any added sauces. I could barely get my third bite down. There were also added credit card fee charges that weren't really told about whenever checking out. I checked in... then forgot :( I came in with my daughter on a rainy Saturday at 12:30 after a hankering for pho.. because noodle soup is always the best for this weather. I was surprised to see that District 7 is the only Vietnamese restaurant for miles in this area. But that's okay... because it's good and worth trying! We see the only patrons initially with what I would've expected to be a lunch rush but soon after the restaurant filled up with more groups. Between the 2 servers, the service and food came out quick. Their pricing is good, better than many comparable restaurants in Las Vegas. We ordered their crispy spring rolls which were good but only came with 4. I ordered a combo pho with the meatballs. Their broth was good and the serving was plenty. They def give a lot of soup and could've used a little more meat and noodles. I also noticed lots of oil floating on top so keep that in mind if you have certain health consciousness. Nonetheless I enjoyed it without being overfilled. We also got their chicken with vermicelli. My daughter enjoyed the noodles, but being 5, didn't really touch the chicken much or the veggies. I arrived around noon. The restaurant only had a couple inside. I was greeted and seated quickly. The server brought me a menu and water. I ordered the spring rolls and a beef and tendon pho. The spring rolls came out within a few minutes. The Pho came about 5 minutes later. The spring rolls had chicken and shrimp. It was your basic spring roll. The included peanut sauce had a nice taste to it. It was more liquid than I'm used to, but it tasted good. The Pho came with your normal bean sprouts, thai basil, Jalapeños and lime wedges. The broth had a nice light flavor. The noodles were firm. The beef and tendon were sparse. There was a good amount of halved meatballs. I enjoyed this place. The workers were efficient. I have tried a lot of Pho in Vietnam, Singapore, Manila and even the Vietnamese community that settled down in Palawan, Philippines. I had my share of Pho here in the US as well. This branch, hands down is the worst of them all. I typically order a combination Pho. When my dish came in, I had 3 meatballs and maybe two pieces of meat. It was the least meat I had in all of my Pho existence. Plus Covid had past and they still give you plastic utensils wrapped in a tissue for to go food. When my food was delivered, I looked at it and told my server I ordered for combination Pho. She said Yes. I guess she did not get my sarcasm so I should have been direct. Ah, tis the Pho season this time of year as the heat has finally decided to take a break for once! Well, for me, eating pho is good anytime of year. Although, most appropriately consumed during the cooler times. Ok, moving on....so, this place sits nestled in the middle of a strip mall on the corner of W Craig Rd & N Rancho Drive. Pretty nondescript. The place is clean and spacious. Never really a lot of people for the couple times I've went here but it seems they stay busy and get quite a few pick up orders which is a good sign. I've been to a number of pho type places here in Vegas and I would say District 7 is certainly one of the best ones I've been to so far. This last visit I got the #15 Rare Steak & Brisket pho. The service is good. Their beef bone broth was hot and tasty, the quality of meat used was pretty decent (not great), everything was cooked well. Great portion/ratio of ingredients. No ingredient overwhelmed the other. The only thing I thought was a con for me was the price. A tad steep. At the end of the day, I paid over $17 w/tip for the bowl of pho. Because I dined in, I was charged like a .26 fee for use of their napkins, sauces, and silverware. I felt that I was being a little "nickel & dimed" on that but whatever. It is, what it is. Not sure if people are getting charged that fee for take-out. Maybe I've gotten out of touch in the last year with the rise of inflation nowadays but I remember when pho was one of the most cost effective meals one could get. Usually in the $10 - 12 range. Now, in the $13 - 15 range, apparently. Nonetheless, a pretty good bowl of pho and worth a try, if in the neighborhood. They also serve other apps and dishes that may be worth trying. Our go to pho place in Vegas. My wife and I live on the NW side of town, but we have been to pho places everywhere from the East side to Chinatown and nothing compares. The broth is made right, and the portions are great with lots of meat. The staff is always friendly and attentive and it's always busy inside, which is a great sign. First off the packing was really bad. Why would you put hot soup on top of a Styrofoam container? They were both bent in and the soup was on its side spilling crappy packing. Then the chicken pho ga broth has no flavor or old and dry chicken smells funny and most of all they only give you one sauce for two soups come on now what the hell most of the most depressing part is the eggrolls were dry old and soggy. You could tell this sat for a long period of time and I'm not talking about the drive time of seven minutes to get to the house delivery. It means that the actual product is old. Ordered combination pho and Vietnamese ice coffee. The coffee was watered down and did not taste like Vietnamese ice coffee at all and it costs $6! Pho was also one of the worst pho I've tasted with very little meat in it. They're trying to cut cost so much that the utensils are in plastic bags and water and coffee was served in styrofoam cup.
