My wife and I ate there on Friday 3/26/21. Absolute nightmare as far as service is concerned. Sat ar one of the tables and after 15 minutes of no one checking on us, I went to the bar and asked if we were supposed to order there. I was told someone was waiting tables (yea right!) but I could order through him. I did. He was one of those that think they are smarter than they really are and wrote nothing down. And sure enough the fiasco began. My order canoe out fine but they brought my wife the two sides she ordered with her ribs , an empty box to discard the eaten ribs in, but guess what no ribs. The invisible outside waitress never graced us with her presence but we finally got the attention of the young man behind the bar. He came out and we told him we had sides but no ribs. He said the kitchen screwed up. Yea right. Maybe he should have written my order down instead of thinking he was Einstein!!! I could go on with this saga but in short it was the worst service I've ever witnessed (and I'm old) and a one hour start to finish meal turned into about 2 1/4 hours. Plus I had to go to the bar to pay the damn bill. One star is because the ribs were good once they came. Plenty of great places in Savanna with great service and great food so you can skip this place. read more

Service is absolutely horrible. The two bartenders working 5/28 completely ignored customers and disregarded any needs of customers unless they were flirting with them. By far the worst barbecue ever. One of our many vists to Savannah, from Jacksonville Fla. Cold and tasteless. 2nd time trying it. As to the setting, beautiful along the Savannah River. Service/staff weren't welcoming. Enjoy ! read more

First time in Savannah, highly recommend this place, the food and service was great, would give it 4.5 stars if app allowed, only reason I knocked it was Chicken came out on the cool side, but was still very good as well as the brisket!!!!! Very mixed feelings about the restaurant. Definitely has five star views and atmosphere along with good barbecue. Visiting this week, I went Wednesday night for drinks with friends. It was phenomenal! Great music, friendly service (Brandon is the best bartender!), and the food looked amazing! We decided to come back for lunch Sunday. Much different experience. The drinks were mediocre, the service was horrendous, the bartender and waitress were rude not only to us but to other customers, and the side dishes looked like frozen dinner sides. They only have maybe eight, six person tables to sit at other than the bar. Yet, for some reason two small parties can't share a table. We also were very rudely told by the bartender that he wouldn't make us a drink because we were going to be sitting at a table, not the bar. Our waitress, who we'd been waiting on for 10+ mins to greet us, would have to get them. Definitely worth a try because the Peach Palmers made were amazing. Hopefully you'll have better overall service than we experienced. read more

I hate to be the one to write a bad review especially since I have previously worked in the restaurant business for 5 years but me and my friends went there last night on 08/04/2023 around 6:30pm-7:00pm for the first time and I tried ordering a drink and the lady behind the bar checked my ID and then stated she had to go check it which I completely understand as I am 23 and look young. She was gone for about 8-10 minutes and came back and she stated I am not in the system but still gave me my ID back. (I had gone to multiple places after this incident and had my ID scanned and was fine). I could not see where she went to go check my ID as she went around a corner of the restaurant but my boyfriend was coming to meet us and said he saw she was on the phone with someone so I'm not sure how she was checking my ID. My boyfriend stated she was by herself and no one was around her. This seemed very sketchy to me as my ID was real and she was on the phone talking to someone so I am hoping she did not do anything with my personal information. What was shocking is the lady seemed to be the manager of the place and she also had blonde hair. Everyone please be careful going here showing your ID especially with this woman it did not seem right at all what she did. I wish I contacted the police. read more

Had a party of three, mostly bar seating. The bartender was not very pleasant, took forever to get waited on. The food was okay at best, the fries we had were old and not good. The hotdog and brisket were okay. Was not very impressed, as a local to the area there are better places to get bbq. The view was nice, right by the river. read more

Absolutely horrible service... well if you have over an hour to just order your food - this is your place! we sat at the first table and were sitting and waiting for waitress... two other gals came over but they could not take our order and said the server would be right out... not sure if it was the table or what because other people were being served, even people who came after us- they had a different server... she finally showed up, apologizing profiously and she took our order... she brought the food about 30 min later but no forks.., coleslaw, beans, potato salad, brisket and pulled pork you need a fork! She said she would be right back, meanwhile we see her taking another order, bringing someone's food and still no forks! I went up to her and asked for forks before our food would be completely cold... finally one of the cleaning gals brought the folks... brisket - half of it was fatty not for consumption, otherwise the food would have been ok if it wasn't cold. They forgot my cornbread, the gal cleaning tables brought me one... the waitress showed up again apologizing... any other place would give you a free soda or something here you got a lot of apologies and how she is been doing this for 9 years and how today was crazy... other people were complaining next to us also! Needless to say we waisted so much time it Was completely dark and cold by the time we were done. I would not recommend this place!!! read more

It would be easier to list what they got right. The bbq beans were good. The chopped brisket was ok. Um, that's about it. I got a two-meat platter and they got one of the meats wrong. They forgot utensils and we had to get a neighboring waitstaff to find us some. They said they were out of cornbread, but the next order after us got some when it came out of the oven. How about make a note that we didn't get any and get us some when it's ready. My girlfriend didn't get a refill until she was already done. I never got a refill. Too bad because everything else was really salty. I'm a BBQ judge, so I know good BBQ. This wasn't it, especially at $20 a plate. read more
