    Faroe Island Salmon

We had a great dinner at Ditka's. The food, service, and overall vibe were excellent. We had eight people in our party and everybody enjoyed their meal. We had the coconut shrimp as a starter. I had the Faroe Island Salmon and a side salad. It was excellent! If you're getting dessert, try the crème brûlée. If you get the chance, try Ditka's.

Went to Ditka's to celebrate my wife's birthday. We have been to Ditka's before and have had some good and subpar experiences. Our server, Tim was great he was personable and attentive. We ordered the Calamari which was great as always it light and crispy. The Caesar salad is a good serving enough to split for two. Our table ordered two 19oz Bone-in Ribeyes and one 10oz Filet. The ribeyes and filet were requested medium rare. The ribeyes came out medium and the filet was closer to rare. Stephanie came by the table to ask how everything was and we told her about the steaks and she offered to make it right. We were hungry so we ate our original steaks. At the end of the meal my wife was given a free dessert which was a nice touch. My only complaint is the cooking of the steaks which should be exceptional considering Ditka's is a steakhouse. At the very least, our wine corkage fee of $30.00 should have been waived since we spent over $400.00 dollars.

Berkshire Pork Chop with Whipped Potatoes

Stopped in for lunch. Came in around 1 on a Wednesday without a reservation and were seated right away. Was busy but not full. Ordered a white wine, the crab bisque and the pork chop. Crab bisque was delicious, very creamy Pork chop was cooked perfectly, ordered medium, and came with apple chutney and cherry au jus, with a side of mashed potatoes. They gave me enough mash for 3 people! Service was great, classic steakhouse inside, would definitely come back

Always love ditkas , came here on New Year's Eve, love the yacht rock radio on the backround and our food was amazing from start to finish. The best part was the service! Thank you

    Turtle Icecream Pie

Christina was excellent. Best waitress we have had in some time. The whipped burrata was unique and tasty. The Sonoma Chicken was excellent. Well balanced flavors and tender chicken. The pot roast nachos were a bit underwhelming. More pickled jalapeños than beef. The turtle ice cream pie was worth every cent and every calorie. Relaxed atmosphere with comfortable seating. Surprisingly busy for a Thursday night.

Prime Rib - medium (only served on Sunday's)
    Stephen G.

I have not been here is over a decade and now regret that decision! Best prime rib I've had in PGH. I ordered the 12oz Prime Rib which is only served on Sundays. I requested medium rare and it was cooked to that exact temperature. The meat was very tender with a warm pink-red center. To my surprise, there was not as much fat as one would have guessed, which was fantastic. The seasoning on the bark and creamy horseradish stole the show. It is what separated it from any other prime rib I have ever had. My wife and I had a dinner reservation, arrived 30 minutes early but were seated promptly. Our server Evan L was very attentive. Our glasses were consistently filled. He had extensive knowledge about the menu and how many items were prepared. Bread service, soup and salad, and our entrees were also paced well, everything arrived in good intervals. Could not have been more pleased with the service and hospitality. For a date night at a nice sit down, getting out for just under $100 before tip was fantastic. I should note that neither of us ordered drinks. Some items were very reasonable like the soup of the day ($5.50) and my entree ($45.50). My lone knock was the $10.50 Cesar salad. It was mostly a side salad that I was unable to choose as a side, so had to order separately. On a scale from 1-5: - Food 5 - Service 5 - Price 4

Filet topped with blue cheese and chicken piccata

Great place to go in Pittsburgh. Classy but casual atmosphere. Good for couples and families too. We sat in the bar. Brian was our waiter and really a nice guy. We had the chicken piccata and filet. The filet was topped with blue cheese. My piccata was thin sliced over mashed potatoes. Love coming here.

Downey's House provided the local spot I needed. An ice cold Yuengling on draft went down very well, and while I didn't find pierogis on the menu, I settled for a phenomenal bowl of spaghetti & meatballs. Local marinara & meatballs made with the same recipe of the old Main Hotel that was in Carnegie for nearly 100 years. That bowl of pasta was SCRUMPTIOUS and just what I was after. I even talked my lovely wife into doing up her salad 'Pittsburgh style', which means adorning the salad with fries. And yes, it's as good as it sounds. Thrown in a protein like grilled chicken and that is a banger of a meal. Great dining area with a square-shaped bar and TVs with sight-lines in any direction. The service is friendly and helpful, and prices are probably lower than at some chain-y eatery that just makes your food via assembly line. It's local and sensational!

This is one of my favorite spots to visit when I am wanting lots of sushi! I find myself coming…read morehere a few times a year, and enjoying it each time. Sushi Bomb is an all-you-can-eat sushi and hibachi restaurant in Robinson Township, on the other side of the parking lot from Robinson Mall. They have different lunch and dinner menus, with the lunch just being a more condensed version of the dinner menu. In addition, they serve a variety of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. It is in a small strip mall with several businesses, so the restaurant itself is not gigantic. There is signage identifying the business out front, and the strip has designated parking in the front and on the side. However, since it is across the larger parking lot from the mall, any overflow parking can park in the mall lot and take the short stroll over. This is going to happen during peak business hours, as the strip simply will not have enough parking. In regards to seating, there are tables of varying sizes, in addition to some booths along the perimeter. On this visit, my fiance and I ate in on a Friday night in August. It was packed when we arrived, which was around 7:30 PM. Usually on the weekend nights, it will be rather busy. I have eaten here for lunch and been seated immediately, but I have found that for weekend dinners there will usually be a little bit of a wait. We actually put our name in before we left the house, and there were only a few parties ahead of us by the time we arrived at the restaurant. We live about 25 minutes away, so I would say if you do this about 30 minutes before you want to dine in, it should work out that your wait is minimal for the weekend nights. We were seated at a table after a short wait upon arriving. It is all-you-can-eat, but you order off of the menu and rolls are brought out fresh to you. So, we looked over the menu and began ordering some of the rolls we wanted to try. There are a ton to choose from - with over 100 menu items on the dinner menu alone. While we waited for our orders to come out, we visited the Cold Bar, which is set up more like a traditional buffet. It is not very large, but usually has Lettuce for a salad, different Seafood Salads, Fruits, Desserts, and various Sauces. The desserts especially seem to rotate in and out, so these might vary each time you visit. For appetizer-type items, we ordered the Edamame (3), Miso Soup (1), Spring Rolls (4), Shrimp Tempura (8), Crab Rangoons (9), Fried Calamari (10), and Gyoza Dumplings (6). My personal favorite is always the Shrimp Tempura, as I love shrimp in any form. The Edamame is a generous portion, though if you did not think so you could always just order some more! These dishes are served in small enough quantities that you can simply just put in for more if you find one you particularly like. It also helps you to save room for more sushi! Our sushi rolls included the following: Salmon Skin Roll (91), Paradise Roll (74), Angel Roll (64), King Lobster Roll (69), and Mango Roll (76), along with a few single Sushi pieces. I typically gravitate toward rolls with cream cheese, so for that I really enjoy the Angel Roll. Going along with my shrimp comment from above, I liked the King Lobster Roll and the Angel Roll for that reason. The roll sizes here are a great size. If you are trying to sample as many as you can, I would recommend splitting rolls between those you are eating with. From the Kitchen Entrees, we tried the Teriyaki Steak Hibachi (33). The portion on this could have been an entire meal by itself! It came with a generous portion of fried rice, vegetables, and steak, all coated in teriyaki sauce. I know it is unlimited, but I was pleasantly surprised with the portion of this dish. It is never too long of a wait between ordering and when your items come out of the kitchen. I have never had slow or bad service here, as there always seem to be a lot of waiters/waitresses and runners. From start to finish, we were in the restaurant less than 90 minutes. Even on nights that are busy such as this one, it is never a bad wait for anything. After we ate until we literally could not eat anymore, I visited the ice cream freezer. They just have the classics of Vanilla, Chocolate, and Strawberry in single-serve cups, but it is always a nice way to end the meal here. After so much meat and rice, it helps to reset the pallet and leave on a sweet note. The value of this place is truly incredible. The adult dinner price is $23.99, and I believe the lunch price is about $5 less than that. It is hard to get a quality meal anywhere sit-down at that price nowadays, much less unlimited made-to-order sushi! I will forever recommend this place simply on the value alone. Truthfully, I love Sushi Bomb. As someone who was quite a sushi novice on my first trip here, I have grown more cultured and knowledged by trying a lot of different rolls from here over the years. I would highly recommend anyone giving this spot a try!

The restaurant is cool looking, but not suitable for large parties. The table we were at supposedly seated 4, but it would have been tough to have 6 people in the booth. There would be enough room for the people, but not the plates and drinks. Also, we saw no tables larger than 6 tops. In addition to that, most of the tables are booths, which is really annoying for a restaurant where you need to get your own food to cook. We'll definitely go back sometime. Their ground beef now has more carrots & potatoes than beef (tho these ingredients are NOT listed on the menu). And you find out that you can't get that item without Indians anymore (even tho you've had it without onions before), but they didn't tell you. I'm not allergic to onions, so it hasn't even dangerous, but I know people who are allergic to them. It's dangerous. The taco salad has almost no lettuce tonight, but that seemed like a tonight issue, not a general menu change. Tonight, I ordered the al pastor nachos without beans & pico with jalapeños on the side. I was asked if I wanted the sour cream. I said it doesn't have that. He said it did. The guacamole was on the menu. Sour cream was not. I got it on the side so I could give that to my fiancé with the jalapeños. But what if he hasn't asked? It's not on the menu, so I couldn't have known. When I got my nachos, there were a TON of onions. There were no onions listed on the menu. I'm not allergic, but I didn't want them and they were very annoying to pick out. I can't trust them to put the ingredients on the menu. It's close to Costco, which is why we keep giving it more tries, but we're continually disappointed by a restaurant we used to like. There's no great Mexican food here for someone who lived in SoCal for a long time, but the used to be passable. Now, I'd recommend you avoid it. Our waiter actually told me there weren't carrots in the empanadas, but there was a language barrier. The other waiter came and explained they were in the mix. I like carrots, but not cooked carrots. And don't want meat that is mostly potatoes & carrots. They said the chicken doesn't, but 100% of the time I've tried the chicken, it's been way overcooked. The layout and decor hasn't changed and service is typically still fast (tho not tonight) & friendly. Definitely staying away for a while.
