    Faroe Island Salmon

We had a great dinner at Ditka's. The food, service, and overall vibe were excellent. We had eight people in our party and everybody enjoyed their meal. We had the coconut shrimp as a starter. I had the Faroe Island Salmon and a side salad. It was excellent! If you're getting dessert, try the crème brûlée. If you get the chance, try Ditka's.

Went to Ditka's to celebrate my wife's birthday. We have been to Ditka's before and have had some good and subpar experiences. Our server, Tim was great he was personable and attentive. We ordered the Calamari which was great as always it light and crispy. The Caesar salad is a good serving enough to split for two. Our table ordered two 19oz Bone-in Ribeyes and one 10oz Filet. The ribeyes and filet were requested medium rare. The ribeyes came out medium and the filet was closer to rare. Stephanie came by the table to ask how everything was and we told her about the steaks and she offered to make it right. We were hungry so we ate our original steaks. At the end of the meal my wife was given a free dessert which was a nice touch. My only complaint is the cooking of the steaks which should be exceptional considering Ditka's is a steakhouse. At the very least, our wine corkage fee of $30.00 should have been waived since we spent over $400.00 dollars.

Berkshire Pork Chop with Whipped Potatoes

Stopped in for lunch. Came in around 1 on a Wednesday without a reservation and were seated right away. Was busy but not full. Ordered a white wine, the crab bisque and the pork chop. Crab bisque was delicious, very creamy Pork chop was cooked perfectly, ordered medium, and came with apple chutney and cherry au jus, with a side of mashed potatoes. They gave me enough mash for 3 people! Service was great, classic steakhouse inside, would definitely come back

Always love ditkas , came here on New Year's Eve, love the yacht rock radio on the backround and our food was amazing from start to finish. The best part was the service! Thank you

    Turtle Icecream Pie
    Kyle C.

Christina was excellent. Best waitress we have had in some time. The whipped burrata was unique and tasty. The Sonoma Chicken was excellent. Well balanced flavors and tender chicken. The pot roast nachos were a bit underwhelming. More pickled jalapeños than beef. The turtle ice cream pie was worth every cent and every calorie. Relaxed atmosphere with comfortable seating. Surprisingly busy for a Thursday night.

Prime Rib - medium (only served on Sunday's)
    Stephen G.

I have not been here is over a decade and now regret that decision! Best prime rib I've had in PGH. I ordered the 12oz Prime Rib which is only served on Sundays. I requested medium rare and it was cooked to that exact temperature. The meat was very tender with a warm pink-red center. To my surprise, there was not as much fat as one would have guessed, which was fantastic. The seasoning on the bark and creamy horseradish stole the show. It is what separated it from any other prime rib I have ever had. My wife and I had a dinner reservation, arrived 30 minutes early but were seated promptly. Our server Evan L was very attentive. Our glasses were consistently filled. He had extensive knowledge about the menu and how many items were prepared. Bread service, soup and salad, and our entrees were also paced well, everything arrived in good intervals. Could not have been more pleased with the service and hospitality. For a date night at a nice sit down, getting out for just under $100 before tip was fantastic. I should note that neither of us ordered drinks. Some items were very reasonable like the soup of the day ($5.50) and my entree ($45.50). My lone knock was the $10.50 Cesar salad. It was mostly a side salad that I was unable to choose as a side, so had to order separately. On a scale from 1-5: - Food 5 - Service 5 - Price 4

Filet topped with blue cheese and chicken piccata
    Melanie M.

Great place to go in Pittsburgh. Classy but casual atmosphere. Good for couples and families too. We sat in the bar. Brian was our waiter and really a nice guy. We had the chicken piccata and filet. The filet was topped with blue cheese. My piccata was thin sliced over mashed potatoes. Love coming here.

Upon entering the restaurant, there are crystal chandeliers, bright colors, French posters, and a lively atmosphere. The restaurant had a lot of potential until we experienced the service and cuisine. I brought my Supper Club here, and we had a group of 8 of us. There was also a very large group at the restaurant. We were neglected on several occasions, and it took us 2 HOURS just to get our food order. That's not an exaggeration. Our waitress was rather snippy with us, and ended up apologizing at the end but it did make for an unpleasant experience. When we finally received our bread, we were so hungry that we scarfed it down despite it being not so great sour dough bread. Every dish was flavorless and left us wanting more. I had to send back the steak on two occasions: once for being undercooked and once for being overcooked. I ended up getting my meal for free. The Coquilles St. Jacques had the smallest scallops without the lovely scallop shell its usually served in. The shrimp cocktail tasted like anything you could get at the grocery store. The Nicoise Salad was just sad and flavorless. The porkchop and escargot had the most flavor. I will definitely not be back to this establishment. Our group did enjoy each other's company, and it created a very memorable experience even though it was an overall bad experience!

He, however, called the other customers before me, and my husband and I were left there standing. The seating host had to ask for my name again, so apparently he had forgotten about me. The seating hostess looked too casual in her jeans. The experience got better. The room contained only 16 seats so was quiet. Throughout our dinner, our waitress provided timely and friendly service. Our appetizer was Bone Marrow, which tasted very rich with toast. For the main course, my husband's 12-ounce Queen Cut Prime Rib was juicy and flavorful, especially with the accompanying horseradish, beef au jus, and Yorkshire pudding. He called the prime rib a "dinosaur of a steak," and he had leftovers to take home. My special of Lobster Thermidor was fewer ounces but was also very flavorful. We also enjoyed our sides of Truffle Fries and Creamed Spinach. For dessert the Baked Alaska was a show for both our eyeballs (tall flames of fire!) and tastebuds. We did not order any alcohol. The total price for our six foods, state tax, and credit-card fee was $237 plus a tip.

The dirty martini was fairly pungent and strong so not sure I would get it again but I'm also not big on dirty martinis so probably just the wrong choice on my part. But the food was the star of the show. We ate so many good dishes- starting with the rainbow platter. Loved the baba ghanoush and the roasted cauliflower - those were my favorite of the 7 dishes on the platter. We also ordered the labneh, hummus with chicken and lamb shawarma, and the kafta kebabs (rolled up in some sort of tortilla) which were all fantastic! If we come back (which we will) I would just order the baba ghanoush instead of the rainbow platter, all the other dishes we ordered, and maybe one additional plate. I felt like I didn't really need the Israeli salad (tomato and cucumber) or the pickled cauliflower and radish that came on the rainbow platter. The hummus was SO soft and fluffy. This was some of the best food we've had in Pittsburgh. After having lived in a Philly for 4 years, we know good mediterranean/lebanese food and I'd be surprised if you can find better in Pittsburgh. Service was also very good.

They were pierogi filling in a sweet pepper with crispy onion on top-kudos on that dish! Out other two plates were the seared ahi tuna which had a nice savory crust and the chicken souvlaki, which was pretty standard. Our server was friendly and pleasant. The space was beautiful. LOVED our dinner at this place…read more We came here for dinner while visiting Pittsburgh. The first thing that struck me was the interior decor. Very industrial and moody with an open kitchen/preparation area that adds some intrigue. I do like to see the happenings of what's going on as someone with zero attention span. Service was excellent. George was fantastic. He kept a close eye on us without being overbearing. He anticipated what we might need so we didn't spend one second waiting to order anything. The menu is not endless or overwhelming which, presumably, allows them to focus on the items that are listed. I have decision panic so it was kinda nice to have less things to choose from. They asked if there were any allergies or dietary restrictions so I mentioned my vegetarianism. George went through the menu and pointed out the vegetarian options including what seems like it is vegetarian but isn't. They had TWO vegetarian entree options and fortunately the non-mushroom one was something I probably would have ordered anyway: pesto with walnuts, arugula, and a very generous amount of grated cheese. To start, I ordered the Brussels sprouts whichc I was warned had fish sauce. This was fine but nothing that blew me away. GF, on the other hand, loved this. GF ordered the wedge which was brought to our attention as vegetarian with the bacon on the side, which was her request. We ended up sharing both, a large part of that was because hers came out first and I couldn't wait but I'm so glad because the wege was FANTASTIC. The dressing? holy fuck pure ecastasy. The wedge was more like a filet shape which was much easier to eat. Who decided on the wedge shape anyway? The lettuce was so fresh and crisp and went wonderfully with that orgasmic dressing and breadcrumbs. Back to my pasta. Also delectable. Noodles were al dente. The sauce was creamy and packed that pesto umami flavor. The walnuts were a really nice contrast in texture. Everything about it absolutely fucking slapped. GF ordered the mushroom entree which came served on a bed of barley which, don't mind if I do, had a few forkfuls to "sample" for "my review". Again, so fucking good. Because it was my birthday, George provided a dessert (yuzu maybe?) that was served inside a meringue-esque igloo, creamy perfect balance of sweet and tart custard with some berry business underneath. Wonderful. I almost forgot their spectacular cocktails! Holy shit, literally they have a CORN CHIP cocktail that I could not pass up. It comes with two massive cornchips on top of a flavored foam. When you bring the glass up to sip, the cornchips are right in front of your nose and their aroma sets the stage for the drink which was STRONG. It wasn't as corn chip forward as I expected but I understand that flavor is probaly hard to create. For my second drink, I ordered the blue one which was refreshing, light, and really good. GF ordered a spritz which was gorgeous "it was good". For second round, I picked out some uranium thing that was very cucumbery, GF says, "it was good". I just read it outloud to her. "it's true!" Fantastic meal at a great place.
