I'm sure it's challenging to be consistent and find good help at these type of chain restaurants but they deserve 5 stars because of our recent experience. We went there at 6 pm on Sunday night with 7 people and had made a reservation just the day before. It was not very crowded and we had a nice table in the corner that was very private. We mostly ordered the crab legs, I got the shrimp trio, and an order of coconut shrimp. Everything was delicious and came out nice and hot. We also had a few margaritas and the peach Long Island. Our server was very attentive and checked on us frequently and also was so kind to take our photo. We will definitely be giving this place another visit in the near future. read more

I haven't been to a Red Lobster in years. The menu is different than I remember. Less options it felt like. The lobster was okay - sort of soggy. Me and my dad both felt this way. The shrimp was very fresh and tasty though. Our server was very attentive and helpful. 10/10. Ii hadn't been to Rex Lobster in ages and when it was brought up I thought it was still lobster fest. I love lobster, so I thought we should check it out. Sadly, the information I had been given about lobster fest was old news, but I love their rolls & was in the mood for lobster. The lobster tail was good. I remember them having very good shrimp scampi, but this time it was horrible. No flavor. Just shrimp in plain butter. The scallops were okay. Rice had very little flavor, too. The Mac & cheese was still good as lunch later. I got way too much other food to eat that with my seafood. I still would recommend going to a decent seafood restaurant and paying more for good seafood instead of getting frozen seafood for a lower price. The lighting above us flickered like bad fluorescent lighting, and I swear it was 80 degrees inside. Summary: at least I finally used up some gift cards to pay for this sub-par meal. Ordered takeaway during Covid-19. We ordered their seafood stuffed mushrooms appetizer, white wine and garlic mussels appetizer, coconut shrimp meal with sides of mashed potatoes and green beans, and an additional side of their cheddar bay biscuits. Total around $40. What's Hot - Contactless payments. We ordered through GrubHub and were able to pay online. Even more helpful was that they gave us a good estimation of what time the food would be ready for pickup. We were about 5-10 minutes past the time they gave us and the food was ready when we arrived for pickup. - Takeaway containers. All the takeaway containers were sturdy and large enough to hold all the food. No leakage, which was especially great, because the white wine garlic mussels are a soup-like sauce. There was no leaking, which I fully appreciated, because I was able to slurp up the sauce. Haha... - Quality of food. All the food was delicious and held up well in the takeaway containers. The whine wine garlic sauce had a good amount of diced garlic and tomatoes in the sauce, which added to the flavor. Not too salty, either, which I fully appreciate. Husband loved his coconut shrimp. Their sides of mashed potatoes and green beans were pretty flavorful, as well. The seafood stuffing of the mushrooms were pretty well seasoned, as well. Good chunks of seafood and no skimping on the stuffing. I fully admit that the quality of the food surprised me a little bit, because Red Lobster doesn't have the reputation as the best seafood restaurant. But, this one was pretty good. - Safety precautions. When husband went inside to pick up the food, there were customers seated inside, but their staff were wearing masks, which was good to see. - Cost. Reasonably priced, especially for the portions you get. You can definitely get full off the portions. What's Not - Be aware that takeaway orders automatically include their classic cheddar biscuits. However, you have to order and pay for more biscuits. On top of the complimentary 2 biscuits, we ordered 4 more. Normally, if you eat in, additional biscuits are free. - No disposable utensils (including napkins) included with their takeaway. It's not a huge deal, but it's slightly inconvenient. Not impressed. I had the appetizer, mussels with garlic and white wine. They tasted old, not to mention were served cold to lukewarm at best. I sent them back. For main course, I had the build you own platter, consisting of the broiled flounder, broiled bay scallops, and fried clams. The fried clams tasted bland, plus they weren't very hot; like they've been sitting in a holding bin for a good while. The broiled flounder was meh. The broiled scallops were swimming in greasy butter. Ugh. My girlfriend ordered a side of clam chowder. She never got it with her meal because the waitress said they were out of it and were making more. It finally came at the end of the meal when we were finished. I had the waitress pack up the clam chowder to go. Got the check/bill, my ghastly mussels appetizer wasn't taken off; had the waitress edit the bill and that was that. I do not intend to return to this place. The food is not worth the prices they charge. And like I am finding in most restaurants these days, the employees are doing mediocre work at best, but wanting that $15.00 an hour, though. I'm finding that going out to eat these days is a 50/50 chance (and dropping) when it comes to getting hot, fresh food and good service. It's getting obvious restaurant employees don't give a crap about doing their job. "In a hurry to do nothing" seems to be the standard of today. I went to Red Lobster for the first time since before the pandemic and boy the food prices have gotten way to high. I got the seafood stuffed mushrooms, the garlic shrimp scampi, and the side dish salad that use to come with the meal but now they're charging us an extra $1.99 for the side dish and the beverage was $4 and some change. The final straw was they had the never to think that they were going to decide how much of a tip that I was going to give by circling it on the check. Crab fest is advertised on their website. I went to RL specifically for crab, no crab. I was told it was due to Covid. I then chose to get a 2 lb lobster, yet their were no live lobsters. The bar tender said there was something wrong with their tank and all of the previous batch died. I went for the ultimate surf and turf. The filet was cooked perfectly, just bland. No worries, A1 to the rescue. The lobster tail was cooked perfectly as well. The bacon wrapped scallops missed the mark completely. They were over cooked and very chewy. I got my to go order and inspected the crab Alfredo myself because it was in a very small container for it to be $23. I opened it and not only was the container small, it was half filled. I asked the hostess to refund because I wasn't comfortable paying for it and she had the kitchen fill it up. When I got home I realized both my shrimp bowl and my husbands salmon bowl were very small portions and hardly had any salmon in his or rice. They looked like kid meals. I felt very slighted and disappointed that I spent almost $60 on lunch and had to cook more food just to satisfy our appetites. I called and was supposed to get a call back and never did. It's our first time in this location and boy, I had to write a review for how amazing our experience was. Kudos to our server, Holly who went above and beyond, 5 star service! We started with the best Red Lobster biscuits- fresh and warm from the oven. She even gave us second serving, she asked if we wanted more biscuits and drinks which we politely declined. We got our food very quick, Holly checked on us multiple times asking if there was anything we need. We got a lobster pizza for our 10 yr old daughter who doesn't eat lobster lol. So it was just a pizza with tomatoes and parsley, I bet ya any amt of money, it would be really good with lobster too, maybe we'll try it next time. Came here on a Wednesday night and it was not too busy. We started off with the lobster pizza and the stuffed mushrooms. The service was very quick as our biscuits, appetizers, and salad all came out at the same time. Their cheddar biscuits are my favorite! I could eat a whole basket of them. For dinner, my friend had the endless shrimp deal and started off with the Nashville fried shrimp and the Mediterranean shrimp. I had the Maine lobster with mashed potatoes and broccoli. The sides were pretty average, but I enjoyed the lobster. The endless shrimp deal was great, as he was able to try the shrimp scampi and shrimp linguini as well. Robinson Twp location is one of our favorites. Very clean, well run and our food is always perfect. Great waitstaff too! We always get the Walt's fried shrimp and it is so good. The Caesar salad is good, the baked potatoes are always perfect and fluffy and THOSE CHEDDAR BAY BISCUITS ARE BOMB!!! (Once in a while we get dried out ones but when they are freshly done and not over baked--they are HEAVEN!) And those crispy Brussels sprouts are off the charts good!!! OH.MY.GOODNESS!!! Arrived around 5:15pm. The place was a little crowded but seated quickly. We had ordered the endless shrimp which apparently wasn't on the menu but the rewards club had sent out a promotion about it. The famous chalkboard listing the fresh catches are now given to you as a menu addition. To avoid lines we arrived in the middle of the day. I had a $4.00 coupon for my friend and I to share with our meals. My girlfriend noted to me that the prices recently increased. Also there is no WiFi there. They were running a dinner special for $16.99 which included soup, salad, certain seafood entrees, and a dessert. My girlfriend ordered that. I opted for the flounder stuffed with crab meat. You are still served those buttery biscuits to start. My friend had clam chowder, Caesar salad, garlic shrimp, and caramel cheesecake for dessert. i was served two pieces of the flounder with broccoli which was filling and not to bad.Our waiter was friendly but when he gave us the check we saw he didn't honor the coupon we had. We called him back and said to deduct the $4.00 off the total. We corrected him by saying the $4.00 comes off before tax so he estimated the reduction for us. I also noted as I'm beginning to see in other Darden establishments that the check leaves the suggested amount of tipping down to a penny science. I will only dine here when asked. I haven't been to Red Lobster in years, but I have to be honest - it wasn't great. I initially ordered shrimp scampi and was told that would only be shrimp in a sauce - without noodles. Until this visit I didn't know shrimp scampi to be without noodles. (Since my visit, some people have told me that it can be without ... I digress) I ended up ordering popcorn shrimp with fries - not hard to get wrong, right? Well, the food was bland and the shrimp were over-fried. Our server was very sweet and friendly, but didn't provide great service! It took 5-10 minutes just to refill water after asking and to get extra ketchup. I don't usually post poor reviews of places, but I honestly don't have a lot to say about this place. Stopped at Red Lobster last night with a large group of family members... had an all around fabulous experience! We had a rather large party and the service by Marvin was superb! He took excellent care of us. A few of us ordered endless shrimp and we were also having some cocktails. Marvin was friendly and efficient, keeping our drinks refilled and our bellys full! He was constantly stopping by to check in and was very quick in getting us our shrimp refills! All of the food was really good! The shrimps were not huge, but it is endless for 15.99 so it was definitely still very good for the price! I tried the scampi, the teriyaki skewers, and the waltz hand breaded! How long had it been since last I dined at a Red Lobster? 2004, my 30th (gasp!) birthday, at the only Red Lobster I had ever been to; the one in West Mifflin. Throughout childhood, the West Mifflin satellite was a semi-regular destination for the family, but as I got older, visits became less frequent. Enter: Kay's Aunt. Kay's aunt gets her a $25 gift card as an Easter present. Kay hugs her. I hug her also. This past Sunday, coming back home from Beaver Falls, we decide to unload said gift card as it was boring a hole through her wallet and purse. I knew I wanted lobster, but how? I wanted to save a bit of cash as well, maximizing the gift card, and it was early afternoon, lunch time. Man how I've pined for lobster rolls ever since I saw a television special that dedicated a segment to them. Never did I think a chain restaurant would sell them. Once I saw them on the menu, I wanted nothing else. The lobster inside the somewhat small, buttered, toasted buns (you get 2 to an order) is dressed with a touch of mayo and a small amount of diced celery and onion. I really hope Subway doesn't start selling these. I mean, they'll figure out a way to make it lame. Or they'll use langostinos. I do however hope that more local, indy joints will begin have them on their menus. An almost perfect lunch, the chilly lobster yielded to my teeth easily, the mayo and veggies gave each sandwich a fresh, crisp taste, and the warm rolls provided for that magical cool/hot contrast. Excellent deli fare, I could have eaten a quartet of these, again, never expecting Red Lobster to serve up their namesake in such a manner. The fries that came with it (subbing for potato chips since I don't want to order potato chips at a Red Lobster) were typical shoestring tater sticks that performed their function satisfactorily. Kay swore by the Peach-Bourbon BBQ Scallops, so that became our starter. Each scallop was bundled in a bacon scarf, all of them on a skewer atop a bed of thin onion rings and pico de gallo. 4 to an order, Kay and I fought over the sweetly charred, juicy, plump scallops and scavenged for the dead perfect breaded hoops of allium and refreshing pico de gallo. What happened to the Fudge Overboard? No matter. In its place is the Warm Chocolate Chip Lava Cookie, a tart/cookie hybrid that bleeds debauched fudge when broken open. Only a lone scoop of vanilla ice cream serves to cut its savage sweetness and soothe its volcanic heat. Catherine, our personable server, was truly on her game on this day, despite her astonishment at how fast we ate everything. We were starving! Catherine missed not one beat. Refills came before we thought of them, courses were paced flawlessly, specials were explained deftly, all with a smile. Raise a claw for The Crimson Crustacean! It's the best microwaved seafood you'll ever nosh on. P.S. As I went for the complimentary, fattening, and addictive cheddar biscuits, Kay outed herself as a Boondocks fan.
