I'm so glad she's now at Bella's Hair Salon, just 5 minutes down the road from Hair Faire. Plus, the owner of Bella's Hair Salon is very kind too. Longtime customer...referred more than a few friends, including my husband who went there for about a year. (He quit going when after the second time she hired him to do some work at her house and tried to swindle him, he just finally had to say enough is enough, cut his losses, walked off the job, and refused to go back to get his hair done there.) Enough about that, though. What she did to my hair and worse, and the 'dishonesty' (omission of truth is also a lie :/) about it, was the last straw. In four years I had 'only' let maybe two other people cut or colour my hair besides Jamie...but I have to get it done every five weeks so you can imagine it gets expensive. Thus, I started going to Hair Fsire. However, 95% of time I would only go for color, because Jamie is not very good with scissors. (as you can see from the picture! ?) I would go see Jamie every five weeks and she touched up my roots. Every (roughly) second time or so, I'd have her put in some highlights. The problem with Jamie is that she doesn't pay attention to the time. She's often left bleach sitting on my hair too long. This has damaged my hair of course. But the last time was two months ago. I think she was doing somebody else's hair, which was often the case ...while the bleach ' sat 'on my hair. This last time, however, she waited way too long to check it and before you know it, it was fried. I mean fried! She asked me if I wanted a trim (like I said normally I don't, but she was sort of pressing it ). It was a Saturday and I was reading my book and relaxing, and so I said yes but only to trim 'the ends' off. This is what I was left with. What happened (which I didn't peace together for a couple weeks) was she had completely fried my hair, and then cut it all /"chopped it all up" all (terrrribly lopsided uneven hatchet job) obviously trying to hide the mess .. ie the burning and singing of my hair. Much of my what must've melted off in globs My hair grow so slow. I'm going to have to grow it out for about a year now, then cut it off and regrow it all out. I admit, I ahead of time, I asked her if she would fix it, but she decided she didn't want to. She only wanted to do a conditioning treatment. No that's not gonna cover the bottles of hair vitamins that I'm having to buy to grow my hair out nor the embarrassment of walking around with my hair looking the worse it's looked in years and years. Trust me.. stay away from this place and save your money. The truth is Jamie likes to think she knows everything, that she's smarter than everyone in the room, yeah she'll sit there and talk about her old arrests, drug history, and her exes who are all in prison. Makes no sense. I listened because I felt sorry for her, but I can't imagine if I was the one running this shop and having somebody like this work here I went to her because she was the only reasonably priced person I could find for the number of times I have to get my hair done. I'm sure it'll be worth paying more now. read more

I am 60 years old and have been coming here for many years. All the stylists do a magnificent job at a great price. Salon owner, Thu, is not only a wonderful stylist, she is humble, kind, and manages her salon efficiently. She is my and my mom's go-to for coloring and styling. During one of her absences, I made an appointment for a color, trim, and style with Jenny and she also wowed me with her amazing talents (see photo- I tipped her accordingly ). I have been using Jenni for haircuts since she was at Angel's Salon. When she moved to Hair Faire I followed her. She recently went on vacation to Vietnam and was there for several weeks. When she returned and went to Hair Faire to work, the "previous owner" told her that she had sold the salon to an employee and the new owner did not want Jenni there any more. The new owner did not even have the courtesy of telling Jenni herself and telling her why she did not want her there. I never liked going there because it did not seem like a friendly place. I don't know how truly this place has almost to 5 stars but it's honestly so terrible I went here because I looked at the reviews and it was so good trusting the process but they ended up burning my hair I was in the hair steamer for an hour and afterwards the lady made me BRUSH AND BLOW DRY MY OWN HAIR because she had to many people in the salon so customer service was terrible I really don't recommend this place if you don't want your hair to get messed up and dead like mine DONT GOOO!! have attached a picture of how my hair was done after the salon and a week later i just cut my hair because there's to much breakage and my hair is falling I literally have 3 different blonds in my hair like how ‍i'm very disappointed me and they charged to much for that crap !! read more

Went in for a trim and she BUTCHERED my hair. My hair was all one consistent very long length & she asked if I wanted layers with the trim and I told her no. All around my face is completely different lengths, one side is shorter than the other, and it's just a mess. First time trying out is place. Picked it based on the other reviews and the fact that they take walk-ins. I dropped in around noon on a Sunday. The salon is clean, quiet (no loud music blasting overhead) and cozy. There were three stylists already working (Jamie, Thu, and Van) and two people ahead of me. I waited for about 20 mins before I was seated. I asked for a wash, health trim and style (long layers with a blowout/flatiron). My stylist was Jamie. She spent a good 10 mins on the wash, condition and scalp massage (which was excellent). My hair is long and thick and she was done in about an hour. She was very pleasant, offered good advice and cut just the right amount. The total cost for this visit was $25. Nothing fancy; just right for a neighborhood salon. 5 star rating is for overall experience and quality of service for the price. I have been to many upscale salons that aren't nearly as comfortable and I get the same results. Note: They are located off Buckingham and Jupiter in the same parking lot as Starbucks. I have curly hair and it's very hard to find someone that can cut naturally curly hair. My husband loves our neighborhood app and found this place for haircuts. It has gotten great reviews. I am extremely upset with my cut. I asked the lady to cut it 6-7 inches. When she started cutting, she flipped my side part into a middle part and almost cut my hair that way, which would've made it completely uneven if I hadn't stopped her. The hair dresser next to us then very rudely said "you might know how to part hair, but she knows how to cut hair, okay??" The lady then left my part alone, but when she thought she was done, she brought my hair forward to let me see it and it was an inch shorter on one side than the other! She saw her mistake and tried to fix it, resulting in a haircut that is extremely sloppy and much shorter than I asked for. Definitely find a different place, this one is terrible. read more

I drove out of my way to this salon because of the good reviews on here. When I got there a stylist greeted me quietly and told me to take a seat but spoke so quickly and quietly before walking off into the back that I didn't know what she said. Then I proceeded to take a seat in her chair and describe to her what I was wanting. I tried to show her a couple of pictures for reference but she didn't even glance. Instead of what I was expecting I got just a rushed cut of fringe/bangs that were poorly styled and then was sent out looking weird. The blessing was that she only charged me $4, but it was hardly worth that. I ended up going to another salon within the next few minutes because I had other places to go and was embarrassed to walk in looking that way. The thing that bothered me most was that she not only never introduced herself, but also when I walked in she visibly took out her headphones and made me feel like more of an inconvenience than I client. On top of that, by the time we made it from her station to the register, her headphones were already in one ear. To make a long story short, save your money and go someplace else. read more
