Lemmond's has a long and successful tradition with Garland customers. But today was my first visit as an Atlanta, Georgia guest. Jonathan and Nannette were perfect stylists. Their friendliness and professionalism was beyond what one typically finds when taking a seat in an unknown chair. But both were impeccable and friendly. The Texas atmosphere was inviting, but the openness and design of the salon were cool against the 105 degree heat just outside on tre Garland Town Square. Their care for my 98 year old mom was superb. She said as we got out of car, "I don't really want to get my hair shampooed and done," but afterward said as he hit the heat, "Boy did that feel good! I never really wash my hair at my age but it felt wonderful. When do I go back?" Thank you Harvey, Jonathan, Nannette and mostly Elisa who greeted us and chatted with me in Spanish. Will be back. I just recently moved and I was looking for a Hair Salon close by and came across Lemmonds Salon. I did a little digging online to check out reviews and saw that Karen was very popular. I called the salon on a Tuesday and set up my appointment for Saturday. Fast forward to Saturday Karen called me and said I could come in earlier as her client had to reschedule. Worked out great for me as I was pushing it with my noon appointment. The minute I got in Karen shampooed me and explained each product used on my hair and even gave me a list of items to maintain healthy hair and growth. After my shampoo I told her my how I wanted it styled and she gave me exactly that. Upon living she reconfirmed what I needed in order to get the volume and style I wanted while styling my hair. I think I have found a new spot and I couldn't be happier. read more

This was my first time to visit Lemmond's. Everyone was very nice and made me feel comfortable. I was a little scared to get my hair cut after several years of just letting it grow. I came in with very long, dry, damaged hair with a lot of breakage from over processing. INDIA was my stylist. And I thank God for her. She didn't make me feel bad about the state of my hair. Instead, she gave me a lot of very helpful tips on what to do to get my hair healthy, again. I showed her a pic of what I wanted. A long shag with curtain bangs. Guess what? She gave me exactly what I asked for! I absolutely love it! And I can't even count how many times my husband has complimented me on my new haircut. So, all I can say is, thank you so much, India! I went in for a trim and left with it shorter than it's ever been, cut unevenly and the style is awful. I wanted my hair pretty and instead it got butchered. I can't cancel the conference next week but will cancel the person driving 1 1/2 hrs to take pics. There's not enough hair left to try to do anything with it in only 4 days. Don't allow Carole to touch your hair! The worst hair experience ever, my hair is a total mess. The hair dresser thought she was so good that she would help herself to my bank account and take 17.00 more than what I paid her for herself a tip. I paid her on a phone screen just because that's how I am. The screen said 85.00. All I did was sign it. Well, almost sign it. When I couldn't finish my last name, she jerked the phone away and took it upon herself to finish my name. "Forgery".... I gave her No tip. I don't ask for any hand outs but I did express before I left that my hair was brassy, orange! Carole argued and said it was light blonde that I should go outside and look at it. I looked at the back and it didn't look right, I saw that the top was too short and it wasn't hanging right, she again had a reason that she only took an inch off the hair. The whole reason was that 7 weeks prior I had her cut it and she trimmed it and wouldn't thin it due to a bad place in it. So, I waited 7 weeks and thought I was about to get a great shaped up hair do. Carole was so braggy about how she knew the correct color to use and she knew exactly what to do. She was going to use a light blonde like I had in it from 6 months ago. Well. She lied. She stole 17.00. So, not only is she a horrible hair stylist, she is a liar and a thief and a forges signatures. Jonathon, the manager attempted to get her to give me a refund in which I allowed her 2 wk days after my bank showed the charge had cleared to own up to her mistakes, at least call me.... and make it right but she didn't. Jonathon got me a consultation with another hair dresser who wanted little over 2 times the amount of money to fix her mistakes and do my hair right. This was a fiasco to say the least. Way too much energy! I finally took it to my bank today and disputed the charges. So, she will probably get away with this without consequence due to the small amount involved. As I told jonathon, it's not the money, it totally the principal and how many other people she would do this to that wouldn't say anything. Well, I am their voice.... She didn't give me a receipt in which normally I get a receipt on my phone. No receipt. No proof. My tough luck. Jonathon couldn't get me a receipt. Carole had her hands on the phone and finished my signature which again is forgery and Punched herself a 17.00 tip which is theft. Simple as that and thought she did a good job on my hair. The best hairdresser in there said it was a mess and she would need a lot of money to fix it. What professional would do this? No one would do that if they wanted to stay in business. I will never, ever trust a charge on a phone screen again, or I will be super careful to get a receipt for the exact amount. I have an appointment tomorrow to get my hair redone at a different salon after this hair nightmare! :( read more
