We could not have been more pleased with our recent experience at DiVieto in Estero. My father passed away 2 days before and this was the one restaurant my grieving mother wanted to go to. They have a decent wine selection here and are known for their Ruota di Parmigiano Pasta entree, this is housemate fettuccine prepared tableside. You have the ability to add salmon, steak, or shrimp to it and I opted with the salmon. The pasta was rich however the salmon was underwhelming. By far the worse lunch experience I have had in a long time. When we entered the restaurant there was no one at the podium. waited about 10 minutes, and finally two girls that were in the side room stepped out. Neither of them greeted us, they just stared at us, so my husband stated table for two. They picked up the menu and proceeded to seat us in a booth by the kitchen. It was very loud we asked to be moved. They moved us to a four top. Right in the path to the kitchen etc. waited for our drink, bar in this restaurant is always very very slow. Placed our order, random people brought salad, and dinner. Our waitress seemed overwhelmed she was carrying tons of dishes and got as far as the service station and drop them all it was so very loud. I get it accidents happen. I spoke to a manager who told me the girls up front were seating people...not true. He also stated they are very busy and short of staff so that is why they try to seat people in a cluster? And if I wanted better seating I should call for reservations. WTH ‍ at 200 for two people for lunch I won't be going back anytime soon, oh had to get someone to chase our waitress for the check. Ps you have a lot of people walking around the restaurant that seem confused. Mediocre food. Bad service. Loud and not relaxing. Slow bar service. Unattentive staff.
