Our experience last night was magnificent! From the warm ambience of the interior design,to the fantastic service of Luciano, everything was on point! The food was fresh, delightful, and plated beautifully. We asked Luciano for his opinion on a few dishes we were considering, and his recommendations were knowledgeable and delicious, we loved them! I think very little of the cheesecake factory, Olive Garden and chili's but all of those seem like Michelin star cuisine in comparison to Divieto. The food was dry and crummy at best. I was seated in a room with no acoustical features, a room must have a sound absorbing material present in a restaurant; this room had none. I couldn't communicate with my family during our meal. I sat and ate a shitty meal without the ability to converse, I would have preferred to dine in a hospital cafeteria than at Divieto this evening. read more

My wife and I joined friends here and wow, what a nice change from the old Bici. Nicely remodeled and very welcoming. The menu was very nicely explained by Steven, our server, as were the specials and suggestions for we "first timers" My wife and I both chose a Caesar salad to start and instantly you could tell the dressing was made in house. I asked to be sure and Steven affirmed that chef and staff make it up each morning. My wife opted for salmon and I the Rustic Ribeye. Both of us exclaimed that these dishes were very, very, VERY good. So much so that we're heading back this weekend to try something else. Why the Four Stars rather than Five? The noise level. It's a warm, welcoming experience but the noise levels are high enough that three of the four in our party had a significantly hard time hearing. Hands down the best Italian restaurant and food in the area! Decided to check this place out after spending the evening shopping and as we were looking at the outdoor posted menu, another couple said eat here you won't be disappointed. It was a Friday night around 8pm and we only had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated. The waitress, Laura, was absolutely incredible - nice, helpful, and provided recommendations since it was our first time visiting. The bread with oil is so good and the perfect start. I had the pear martini and it was the best drink I have ever had. I ordered the filet and asked to substitute the mashed potatoes and asparagus for spaghetti. The filet was the best I have had - melted in your mouth with the most perfect sauce to compliment the steak and was cooked exactly how I requested. My husband ordered the table side pasta where they make it in front of you. Waitress told us the cheese was lactose free as well. The cheese was incredible and made this the best pasta we have both had. The creme brûlée was also the perfect dessert to finish off the meal. Even with all this food, dessert, a martini, and 3 beers, the total came to about $110...definitely worth it! I picked this restaurant because I thought it had real potential based on some of the reviews. I will say that I thought it was just OK. Me and my business associate had dinner here and on both of our side dishes of pasta, the sauce was light. The same was true for my veal parmesan, I had to ask for an extra side of sauce unfortunately it never came. We ordered one of the more expensive cabs on the list and unfortunately it was not stored in a cooler so we were drinking very nice cabernet at room temperature. The food tasted pretty good but the poor service and additional details mentioned above led me to give it three stars. read more

I had dinner at this establishment and was very Disappointed in the fact that I ordered the Sea Bass which is pricy that was accompanied by asparagus and risotto. I didn't want the asparagus and they would not allow a substitute which was the sautéed spinach stating that the asparagus wasn't a vegetable it was a garnish. That's news to me and unfair I think considering the price of the meal.However the Sea Bass was very good. read more

I have always been a regular. I typically love their quinoa salad and the grouper scampi. Today, unfortunately, left a bad taste. I placed an order via Uber Eats. After an hour or more, the driver arrived and they told him they didn't even realize an order had been placed and it was not made. He was nice enough to wait while they made it. I was annoyed when the driver texted me letting me know since that means I had to wait at home til it arrived. I called and it took 5 tries at least to get ahold of someone. I asked what was going on and she just said "accidents happen". I was frustrated, but decided to just leave it be. The food arrived and the dressing substitution I requested was not followed and there was no bread or even those breadsticks even though I requested it. I had ordered 4 adult entrees and wanted some bread to go with it. Lastly, my Grouper was lacking the lemon flavor and had bones in the first few bites. Didn't like the tables without a proper table cover , or place mats. Forks were bent and unprofessional, the wine glasses were dirty. Food tasted ok but overcooked such as the tuna it was dry because it was cooked too long and we had asked for medium cooked. The restaurant overall was a tipical chain cheap restaurant. Well....... We ALL had the best experience ever. We had 27 ppl in this party and everything from walking in being greeted in the front to the bar to being seated to our room, EVERYTHING was excellent. Very disappointed. Had to sit at a bar table because the regular tables were "reserved". Yet those several tables sat empty the entire time we were there. The same server we had could have helped us at a larger table. Second my friend ordered the sirloin for lunch. She could barely cut it it was so tough. Absolutely delicious. We walked in and were seated right away at a nice booth. We were immediately greeted by our waiter. Once we ordered our food came very quickly. Everything was delicious. My mom even said that the fettuccine was the "best she had ever had in her whole life." I got the pepperoni pizza which was also great. Divieto is well known for the expensive cheese wheel used to dredge pasta through it and served hot on plate. I absolutely loved the seafood ravioli but Divieto dropped the ball when it comes to preparing and serving meat. I ordered the oso bucco which is a very simple dish with simple herbs but Divieto served salt soaked pork which was tender but completely flavorless. I suggested to server that they brine the pork with the sprig of rosemary thrown on the plate for garnish with garlic to add more flavor. Funny thing is he understood where i was coming from. My wife's lamb was the same way.Flavorless and a bit tough for a lamb chop. Glad she ordered the Fig sauce on the side because it's over sweet flavor did not compliment the tough piece of meat. Absolutely delicious and what a great atmosphere! My husband got veal Marsala and loved it. My daughter and I both got the Ruota di Parmigiano prepared table side and she educated us on the history and the cheese, great experience, cheese lover or not! My daughter added shrimp and I added steak. My steak was cooked perfectly and so tender, the shrimp was huge and grilled to perfection. We finished with cannolis and cheesecake. My husband said the cheesecake was the best he's ever had. The cannolis were fresh and creamy and more than enough to share. Our waiter Paul was very pleasant with a great sense of humor, knowledgeable and attentive. We did go late afternoon/early evening without a reservation; we waited less than 15 min for a great booth. This was our first time but it will not be our last! I will definitely make reservations next time because I think they will continue to grow and only get busier, we will take advantage before season starts again too! My wife, kids and I went to this great restaurant last Sunday which was highly recommended by a friend. As soon as we walked in the doors the atmosphere was very pleasant. The waitress we had was very courteous. She explained the process of the pasta in the wheel of Parmigiano professionally. The meal we all ate was delicious. I had the 40 oz Tomahawk steak which was delicious and cooked perfect. The prices were reasonable. We will definitely be going back soon. read more

I came here after this new Italian restaurant was recommended to me. Dishes I tried: Fiocchi Di Pera- This stuffed pear and cheese pasta with cheese cream sauce and candied walnuts was slightly sweet and savory. It was delicious but had a goat cheese like taste. Divieto Gnocchi- The potato dumplings were delicious and I am not usually a fan of gnocchi. The Italian sausage served with this dish though lacked luster. It was too chewy and fatty for my taste. Herb Crusted Salmon Salad- This salmon was one of the best I have ever had. It was perfectly cooked and blended very well with the salad. The salad contained cucumbers, zucchini, carrots, red onions, red peppers, and asparagus. The dressing was light. I would order this salad again and recommend it. I gave this restaurant a four out of five since even though the dishes were tasty, I would not order the pasta dishes again since they were good but not great. I would order the salmon salad again but the prices are very expensive. read more

Stopped for an early dinner last night. The restaurant is in a nice shopping center. We were seated right away. We started with the carpaccio di salmone which is big enough to share with up to four people. It is different because of the sweetness from the sauce and capers which is weird because it's capers. It was definitely different. I had the branzino with vegetables which was delicious. I highly recommend this dish. The pork shank with risotto was the other dish we had, although the risotto was kind of bland but some salt and parm fixed that. The desserts were also really good, the creme brûlée was yummy but the ricotta and pistachio cake was so light and delicious that it didn't even feel like a dessert. It was perfect. read more

When in SWFL this is one of my favorites. Located in the beautiful Coconut Point. Once again tonight I had a fantastic meal. I managed to get a table for two at 5:30 on a Saturday night without a reservation. I really suggest a reservation on a weekend. No doubt it's pricey but the food and service was perfect. The Chicken Madeira is my favorite. Modestly priced but we had cocktails, a bottle of wine, and normally pass on dessert but tonight we had a little of everything. More than usual including dessert. So it was expensive but I just spent several days of driving from upstate NY and spent 6 days of eating franchise food and wanted a quality meal. read more

However,I did have one encounter with a hostess that left a nasty taste in my mouth, which is the only thing stopping me from 5 stars. I walked in after a full day of shopping at the mall and the first thing she said when we walked in was "Oh, just so you know we don't have a happy hour here"; after looking me and my friend up and down. This I found incredibly insulting. Yes, I was in casual wear but I did not appreciate the comment. I felt awkward the entire time I was sitting because of what I was wearing.
