I have been to Divieto a couple of times with my work team and it has been a fabulous experience both times. The menu offers Italian food, but plenty of meat and fish entrees as well. They also have some interesting specialty cocktails. First, it's not always easy serving a large group, but Divieto did a great job with our group of 11. The service was friendly, attentive, and drinks & food came out at the perfect pace. The table shared starters including calamari, bruschetta, and octopus. All were good. Everyone enjoyed their mains. Loved both my choices of the Pear Salad and Tuna. I believe there is a location where m Doral which is closer to home. Might need to go there! read more

We had a lovely dinner at Divieto. What made the dinner exceptional was our waiter Casper! The minute we sat down he knew to get our kid's orders started. They are known for their pasta served table side in the Parmesan wheel . We didn't try it but many tables around us had ordered that as an app. Outside tables a plenty and were sat inside no problem without a reservation. We ordered a herb salmon salad(no photos) but was very good, also ordered with another Salmon dish that came with asparagus served over polenta (creamed corn mash) with a parm wafer for garnish / tasting. Cooked exactly to liking, ordered a side of garlicky spinach. Also ordered the marscopone compromised of garlickypenne pasta, shrimp included peas, mushrooms, chicken, in a cream sauce. Very lively atmosphere with great waitstaff. Generous portions. I got the osso bucco. It was good although the whole dish was saltier than I would like. Osso bucco is one of my favorite dishes and this one wasn't as good as I have had at home or other restaurants. So our last visit was horrendous. They lost our reservation, then sent us away. This time we reserved on Resy and we got the super star server Kyle. He recommended entrees for both us and they were fabulous. I had a pasta with mascarpone cheese and pears and walnuts. So good. Tim had table side fettuccine with fresh Parmesan. Crème brûlée and a latte for dessert. Fabulous food and service. Manager checked on us numerous times. This place is a gem . Can't wait to come back . Really exceeded our expectations. I really wanted to like this place, but the food is sub par, it has no flavor nor seasoning.. tastes like frozen food heated up honestly ...i've had better tasting freezer food. Just save your money and go to olive garden honestly no joke it's right near it. I went twice to give it another chance and got another menu item (steak) just has absolutely no seasoning. Their signature pasta was disheartening and I asked for breaded chicken which had no flavor whatsoever. The hostess were hit or miss, there's a few up there, the one i received second day just seemed like she did not want to be there. Wanted to go somewhere for a birthday dinner so we decided to check this place out. This restaurant is on the outside of a mall so it was easy to find. Pretty spacious inside with lots of seating indoors/outdoors/bar seating. It was a bit crowded, service was a little slow and I saw a couple servers run into each other but besides that service was good. I started out with the burrata salad and that was amazing with the cherry tomatoes. We all got different dishes to sample and the chicken piccata was my favorite. All glitz; no substance! Saturday nite and my husband and I went out for a " nice dinner". Boy were we fooled! Had to ask for bread ...twice; sent my Cosmo back.... there is no grapefruit juice in a Cosmo, asked for grated Parmesan cheese three times and finally needed a box to take my dinner home and was asked if I want a bag with that!! Overall a disappointing experience. The Octopus appetizer had good flavor but the octopus itself was overcooked and had a pencil eraser rubber texture. The entrees, however, were very good. The service was actually very disappointing. The restaurant was empty yet we were immediately ushered into the the overflow room where there is no ambiance. The room itself was very echoey and sparse. If you are ever brought into this room simply walk out of the restaurant. The experience we had in this room, which was separated from the rest of the restaurant with a heavy fabric divider, was poor. There was no discount for the food in this room. I guess this is where they put the steerage. I will say that we were dressed appropriately for a fine dining experience so this baffled us. The wait staff was not attentive, brought the wrong drinks out on the first try, did not clear dirty plates away, and brought food to the table without regard to timing of the dining experience. For instance, the soup was brought out immediately and well before the appetizer, the rubbery octopus mentioned above, was finished. The wait staff did not operate as a team and did not help the clear plates. Helping to clear plates is something that is standard in restaurants that provide actual fine dining experiences. Poor ambiance, poor service, rubbery octopus, but very tasty and well cooked entrees earns this Divieto's a 2/5 star rating which is 40% or a solid "D". I am sure management will write something about how they are sorry the experience was not up to their usual standards of excellence. Fine dining experience means, however, nevery having to say you are sorry. This was our first experience with Divieto's but I feel as if we have been there twice. First time and last time. There are just too many choices for actual fine dining experiences to risk being subject to such a poor one. Arrivederci! read more

Divieto Doral is our favorite restaurant of all times but we moved and decided to try this one is Estero. We asked for the classic tuna tartar that we always enjoyed. We were super shocked to learn that they changed the mango in it for olives?? Either way we decided to give it a try and what a disappointment. The taste was terrible. After that we asked for the risotto and the rice was undercooked, we had to send the plate back (first time in our lives we have done something like this). For drinks we asked for the lychee Martini. First time was good but second round there was no lychee because they ran out. I'm very disappointed after this whole experience and very sad that one of our favorite restaurants failed like this. read more

Wow! Great food and service. We arrived at our reservation time and our table was ready and waiting. They seem to be serious about reservations, which I appreciate, as they sent a reminder the day before, and one 30 minutes before arrival. Our server Joshua was great! He delivered our warm, tasty bread and got our drink orders. My wife got a Cab from their decent wine list, and I got a martini. The martini was excellent! Our dinners came out quickly. My wife got the Tuscan Salmon and can't have dairy, so she asked for double asparagus to substitute for leaving off the parm polenta. They did charge for a side for this, but it was a generous serving size. I got the Grouper Scampi--wow, was it good! The garlic and tomatoes were super fresh and the fish was outstanding! My husband Ordered a Ribeye Steak $46 It looked like a flattened burger.. and when asked to replace potatoes n veggies with pasta got the Bill and they charged me an additional $11 for it .. I ordered the Eggplant which has always been the Best there for $23 and yes it was good but what use to be a pyramid of good sized eggplant was now 4 round disc sized pieces . They have a great patio and I enjoyed the details of the restaurant from the uniforms to the dish ware, but I didn't find the service to be anything special. It was a bit slow at times, and the waitress didn't try to connect with us at all. The food was a bit mixed, but overall was disappointing. We tried the tuna salad which had very stringy tuna, the tuna tartar which was pretty tasteless and the margarita pizza which was the winner of the group, but wasn't anything special. Lunch for 3 on a Sunday. Sat out on the patio, which was well shaded and not too crowded. Tables are well spaced. Our server was attentive at first but we lost her after food arrived. Getting the check was difficult. The food was our least favorite part of the experience. I had the seared tuna salad. Salad looked terrific but lacked taste. The tuna was VERY stringy. I first want to say I've been coming here for some months now , but this day 11-23 was a very special day for me and my fiancé , but unfortunately the service was not it this day , my fiancé had hair in her food and the server we had was Alex and he was very unprofessional, and a little racist if you ask me , he was very kind to the other people that was not African American but when it came to the respect for us he didn't show that , he didn't offer us bread , when he did take our order it was in a rushing way to get us to hurry , he didn't ask if our drinks needed refills , he didn't ask how our food turned out , we called for him to get a refill he looked at us and ignored is , he was smiling and giving a very respectful approach to his other dining guests but not us at all, when my fiancé did have hair in the food he did not apologize the manager apologized, and to think that we shouldn't give him a tip we definitely still did but we shouldn't have because he wasn't even appreciative for it , he snatched it and shoved it in his back pocket and we didn't even get a thank you , and when they offer to replace my fiancé food they took so long , 40 minutes literally it took longer for the second order than it did the original, I don't ever want to eat her or bring my family here again , I had better service at chilis and Olive Garden than what Divieto gave read more

I've been a fan I Divieto for many years. Tonight I met a friend for their HH at 4 PM. Wine prices were great but I never knew they also had special HH food menu in addition. A nice selection of bar food at very reasonable prices. The bar service even though they are also assisting the wait staff was outstanding. As far as ambiance it's an extremely comfortable place to dine with a few separate rooms which is nice to keep noise level low during busy times. By all means if you're arriving after 5PM especially in season without a doubt visit their website or call and make a reservation. read more
