So convenient to the Walmart auto center to go get breakfast or lunch. Very friendly service. Fun waitress in the Halloween spirit. friendly, efficient, good eating

If you find yourself in Live Oak, looking for love in the form of comfort food, then pop on over to the Dixie Grill. They're serving up some of the best southern food I've ever put in my mouth. I ordered The Fletch. I'd ordered it before and came back for more. Imagine a mac n cheese waffle, yup--mac'n'cheese WAFFLE, topped with a juicy chicken breast fried to perfection. This is then topped with flash-fried spinach. But the true hero of this dish is the brown butter strawberry buffalo sauce. I know, it sounds weird, but it's one of the most memorable and delicious meals I've ever had. I keep coming back for it. My hubby went for the more traditional breakfast fare. The biscuits and gravy were on point. Dixie Grill knows what's up when it comes to breakfast fixings. Service is prompt and friendly. Trust me, your coffee cup won't run dry here. The fact that locals love this place is a testament to their commitment to their community and its people. Ambiance? It's a local diner where neighbors scooch in with each other to share a cup of coffee and comfort. Overall Dixie Grill is a lovely little spot to fill your belly with comfort food while being treated like one of the family. Stop in on your way through. You won't regret it. Oh, and don't forget to get a piece of homemade pie. (The coconut cream is my favorite)

We loved this spot! They are some breakfast masters. We ordered some of everything and it was all BANGIN. It reminded me of the best homemade breccy cooked by someone's nanna. Staff were great and welcoming too. Absolutely coming back

I ate here today around noon with my fiance and mother in law. It was my first time eating here and we enjoyed it a lot. You can enjoy breakfast or lunch. It's a cute diner with home style, Southern cooking and friendly service. Our drinks never ran dry, but our waitress wasn't hovering. The decor is farm house chic and the restaurant has lots of seating. I had a sweet tea and a club sandwich. My fiance got the biscuits and gravy and a Nettles link sausage. The sweet tea was perfectly sweet and the club was a nice double decker with crispy bacon. The biscuits and gravy was nothing special, but the sausage was perfectly cooked with a crispy casing. I would definitely eat here again. Rating from an A+++ to an F, it gets an A+.

Had breakfast here while in town for a wedding at the advice of the groom. It's a typical small town greasy spoon. Sadly, I was disappointed with the service, food quality and cost. My bill alone was $17 without tip for an underwhelming meal. Menu stated $8 for the belt buster...I was up-charged for things that were advertised/included in description (shredded potato) AND for cheese that I asked server to exclude. While pancakes were big, they didn't taste fresh plus the texture wasn't fluffy - like they were old and put on a skillet (again). If ever in this town for breakfast/brunch, consult Yelp for a better option.

A group of us wanted breakfast and decided to stop here and give it a try. Upon coming, I had read the reviews but went against the grain and still came. We were seated immediately to a dirty table. We watched many of the wait staff go by without an acknowledgement till one in our party asked for a rag. We finally got a waitress that was very good and polite willing to do what she could to smooth the onset over. We all ordered breakfast. We never went empty with coffee, but started hearing from surrounding tables how long people were waiting for their food. So needless to say, we were starting to worry as our food was taking pretty long to get out. The owner came over and we inquired about our food with anticipation of leaving if it wasn't started and paying only for our drinks. The owner came out with our food. We all got the food we ordered and cooked the way we asked. It was rather bland though, but that is a personal opinion. The owner realized I was a yelper due to the 10% coupon and came and apologized. He was a very pleasant man and seemed to care about his customers. It went along way to helping the experience, but even with that being said, it seemed like the kitchen and the organization needs help as the potential of being a better business is definitely there.

We have here a skinny omelette sandwich made with our French toast deliciousness

It's quaint, charming, and has that small-town, heartwarming vibe that makes you want to linger over your coffee a little longer. I ordered the Homemade Hash and Eggs, and it was almost perfect. The portion is hearty, so much so that I couldn't even finish it. But here's the kicker: the dish had absolutely no seasoning. None. Not even a sprinkle of salt and pepper. As someone who loves bold flavors, I found that strange. Thankfully, they had salt and pepper on hand, so after a generous shake (okay, several generous shakes), it turned into exactly what I hoped for: hearty, satisfying, and delicious. The coffee was solid but mild. I'm a "give me an extra espresso shot" kind of girl, so I would have preferred something a bit bolder. They offer basic creamer and sugar options, but I didn't notice any flavored coffee or syrups, so if that's your thing, keep it in mind. If you're a simple coffee drinker, you'll be just fine. What really sets Savannah Moon apart, though, is the service. The girl who greeted and served me was friendly and super sweet, exactly what you'd hope for in a place like this. She was genuine in a way that made me feel like a regular, even though it was my first time here. Overall, this is the quintessential breakfast spot. The prices are average in comparison to most of the sit-down breakfast spots I frequent. I was there for breakfast, and had a Lavazzo cup of coffee, corned beef/potato hash with two basted eggs, and it was delicious. The corned beef hash was not prepared by a chef with precise knife cuts, but how I would do at home--irregularly cut potatoes, onions--it looked like hash! My friend had Eggs Benedict, and she told me they were perfectly delicious. And guess what? Bill was right at $25! Our server was a friendly, attentive young woman, who took good care of us. I went to the Luke's Bagels location under the Standard this past week and was disappointed. I hadn't been here in a little bit, especially since Bagels & Co. just opened down the street. But I was craving a Luke's Bagels, so I got there around 8:30, when they opened ready to order. Unfortunately, no one was at the counter when I came in. Someone popped out from the back to take my order a little while's later though. Their bagel selection was extremely limited, more so than usual. They didn't have poppy seed or sesame seed bagels. This was surprising, as I thought this location was sent fresh bagels each morning, I guess not. Luckily, I was able to order a bacon, egg, and cheese on a toasted Asiago, along with a toasted plain bagel with strawberry cream cheese. This took roughly 15 minutes to come out, which was longer than I expected. Upon delving into my bagels, I noticed a couple things that were different from my previous visits last semester. The bagels were definitely smaller, had less cream cheese, and didn't taste as fresh. The BEC had ample amounts of American cheese and the eggs were good, but there was barely any bacon! There was MAYBE two meager pieces on the bagel, I didn't even get bacon in most of my bites. The Asiago bagel still had a decent taste, with a nice sharp Asiago. But it just wasn't very fresh tasting like they've been in the past. The texture wasn't awful, but it wasn't what it used to be. The plain bagel with cream cheese was lackluster. The plain bagel was just fine, as it too was not very fresh. The strawberry cream cheese was decent and not too sweet, which I appreciate. I also like that their cream cheeses have more of whipped texture to them. But there certainly wasn't as much cream cheese on this bagel as I've received in the past! Overall, I was not very pleased with my experience here. The bagels were not fresh at all, the sandwich was lacking bacon, and I just thought the quality appeared be lower. Maybe I came on an off day, but the bagels were not fresh and the assortment they had available was very limited. The texture of the bagels still has a softer center, with a chewy outside , but the outside was too chewy and hard. The size and portions were decreased as well. The BEC had too much cheap, American cheese, and lacked bacon. The plain bagel with cream cheese didn't have much smear on it. For being about $19 for two bagels, not worth it. This makes me sad as I used to love Luke's, but this was not a good visit. I hope next time I come here it is better!
