Omgoodness! This place is AWESOME! I ordered the breakfast that starts with biscuits, covered with hash browns, then scrambled eggs, THEN chicken fried steak, which it doesn't stop there! To top it off it was smothered in gravy and cheddar cheese! The portion was gigantic! Even sharing with my coworker there was still enough for dinner for myself and husband! Nice quiet location on the edge of Sumner by itself we got here probably 745 on Sunday morning and we were only the second people in there and the staff there were just so friendly and nice it was such a warm welcome. We use the entertainment book coupon so we got $10 off one of our meals which was nice and the food was great we really enjoyed it and the portions were a pretty good size. I don't know how you can give this place bad reviews as we just had a really great time we thought our food was really good so we recommend it. read more

This was our first & last visit for breakfast. They have NO decaf coffee? Seriously? I asked if I could bring a decaf latte with me, and the waitress pointed to the numerous signs indicating "no outside food or beverages allowed!" There are only 2 items that don't include meat, so I ordered the veggie omelet.......it was big, but blahhhhh! No seasoning or flavor, what so ever! It had icky rubbery American cheese on top. I had a coupon for Dixies from my Entertainment Guide. But the Dixies Manager said the new owner of Dixies won't honor the coupon even though the coupon is current. According to the waitress, the restaurant was sold months ago. I gave Dixies the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe they didn't know they were advertising a coupon they wouldn't honor. But, today, more than a week later, they are still advertising the coupon on the Entertainment Guide website. There is no indication in the restaurant, no sign or anything that they won't honor their coupon. Even though the food was fine we won't go back. It looks like a bait and switch to me. read more

The food tasted amazing the pancakes were so fluffy and tasted amazing (I do recommend you have the chocolate chip because it adds more flavor) and the drinks were amazing for me I got hot chocolate and the whipped cream and the drink itself was amazing and the service was amazing and the atmosphere gives you that nostalgia of those old restaurants in commercials during the 1990's I recommend this place for more family occasions it was amazing would go again and I love the big portions they give you because you can get extras that you can eat later read more

We have been to Dixie's numerous times. We use to come monthly. It's been a little bit since we came due to work. We just went today and it was horrible. Over an hour wait for our food. I got the black and blue burger the bread was awful tasted almost stale. The blue cheese was not good my hands stink like rotten blue cheese. Fries were cold. They also changed their ranch. My husband got the Mac burger . No flavor. I asked for a little pink on the burger the middle wasn't even cooked, then one half was well done. Maybe their grill isn't working right. They also changed their links for the burger. The kids pancake was good. The only good thing. The Server did apologize for the wait. Bring your appetite! The portions are generous and the food is good. Lightning fast service, as soon as we sat down the waitress was there with menus and asking if we wanted anything to start. Wow! If there was a way to get the original owners to come back?! I don't know what the hell has happened over there... Once upon a time, they would serve dad's potatoes... which were crunchy on the outside, soft and buttery in the middle, oh so tasty and perfect with any breakfast or lunch platter. Now they try to sell these disgusting, gray, greasy pieces of Russet potatoes off as dad's potatoes. I pushed on one with my finger and grease bled out of it as if it were a stuck pig! The taste is terrible, they're soft and mushy. Don't even call those dad's potatoes... You should just call them trash, trash potatoes!!! Oh and heaven forbid you ask for REAL honey!! The dumb waitstaff brings you what looks like honey, in a honey bear, but it's actually honey flavored syrup made out of high fructose corn syrup! That is gross... Seriously there is a world of difference between actual honey and corn syrup. Ugh, why are you trying to give me attitude when I asked for REAL honey?!?! Oh and let's talk about the new staff for just a second... My partner and I had lunch at Dixies on Thursday around 1pm. We were seated quickly and able to order shortly thereafter. I had the burger dip, my partner had the seafood Benedict. My burger dip and fries were delicious. My partners Benedict was cold.... ice cold inside. Hollandaise was congealed. We both put our fingers inside the Benedict to confirm. Icy cold. Not sure how it's possible to make the dish like that. Hash browns were cool to the touch. He signaled the waitress and she took the plate away. He decided to have the burger dip as he'd sampled mine. The burger dip arrived quickly and he took a bite and had to spit it out. Nearly raw, bright red and barely lukewarm ground beef. The surface was gray. Completely undercooked. Signaled the waitress again and sent it back. He decided not to eat.. the waitress comped our meal. Two meals, back to back, ... inedible. Who would have thunk??? We left dejected. My burger was good but the whole meal was a total cold mess.. Later; I was angry. Serviing almost raw ground beef is a serious health violation. He could have gotten very ill. People die from food poisoning. I'm not sure if I should file a complaint with the Health Department. read more
