The Best! Just as good as the original down in Key West. So happy DJs is expanding around Long Island. Would love for them to expand around Florida too. The Cold Overstuffed Lobster Roll is the star of the show. Both the lobster meat and the roll taste amazing together and on their own. The lobster portion is generous and perfect with no unnecessary filler. The roll bread itself is also sized, stuffed and flavored better than anywhere else we've tried in the country. Highly recommend getting an extra roll or two to enjoy on its own on the side. The garlic bread is good too, but the basic roll on its own is even better to us. The French Fries are also good but the Sweet Potato Fries are really out of this world, especially when dipped in DJ's homemade Honey Mustard. I wish they would bottle and sell this stuff. The Honey Mustard alone is worth a visit. When it comes to Lobster Rolls though, save yourself the heartbreak and stick with DJs. We've spent the $ and put in the time and promise you that no one, not in New York, Florida, Maine, or anywhere else even comes close to DJ's in terms of taste, presentation, or value. Everything we've tried at other DJ's locations has been great. We will definitely be back again soon to try more from this new location. I ended up getting the hot Maine lobster roll with fries and a cold corona with lime. Price was great. The lobster roll was pretty much perfect! Flavor, quantity, and freshness was on point. Been here 3x since opened - can't see the value here anymore ,for a small portion of lobster roll here for $30.00. Each time I've been there they give you less food for the money. The clam chowder soup is not soup, it's thick as paste ! For the 2 of us for lunch was 60.00.. and still left hungry due to small amount of food given.. so not coming back here again. It's hard to find a solid lobster roll on Long Island -- they're either served cold, on a bun that's tasteless or too hard, or the lobster is too chewy. (Yes even in port Jeff which had no shortage of seafood!) That's why DJ's lobster roll was a pleasant surprise. Hot buttery lobster roll with plenty of lobster meat (which was good and not too chewy) and a perfectly toasted and buttered hot dog bun. I got the clam strips and fries which were OK. That being, some Baked clams, New England clam chowder, clam strips, coleslaw. Ok so the Baked Clams. Classic clam shack that has good fresh food. Has indoor and outdoor seating but both are limited, it's a small place. Food is very fresh. Had the fried clam basket, fried shrimp, and a soft shell crab sandwich which was a special. All were fantastic. Nice and light crispy batter. Cole slaw was out of this world! DJs Clam Shack is a great little place that always makes me feel like I'm on a Caribbean cruise ship. They have a fun, beachy playlist and some amazing seafood. Highlights for me include the New England clam chowder, the lobster roll (hot or cold), the fish and chips and the baked clams. If are seafood averse and get dragged there by a group that wants seafood, you can try the hot dog. I've never had it but my husband seems to like it. Beyond Awful!!! I ordered the lobster roll. I chose the warm roll because I don't like tarragon mayo. When I got home and opened the box I immediately knew something was off. Lobster had an odor. Against my better judgement I had a couple bites. Meat was NOT fresh!! It smelled bad, it was dry as a bone and full of pieces of shell!!! Disgusting!!!
