This place needs to be added somewhere closer to San Francisco, stat! To get a pint of a house brew for $6 is already great. To get a 22oz. glass for $9 is even better. You cannot do better or even as good as that in the Bay. The beer isn't as flavorful as microbrews in the City, but the Half-time IPA is a quality brew nonetheless. Moreover, a giant, perfectly cooked burger with onion rings, bacon, and a huge side of fries for $15 (Pete's Special)? That's a steal. They could do a little better with the bun to patty ratio, but service here is top-notch, and the ambiance is great for watching a game or just hanging out after work. This review is for DoorDash and how Pete goes over and above making the order good. I have good communication when I've called the store to speak to them to make sure the food is made for the instructions. DoorDash app does not allow for basic modifications at this location. The staff answering the phone each time I place my order has gone over and above doing it. Awesome job. Good food and I was a fairly regular customer. I recommended to friends. I didn't know about the mandatory tips added to check. It was 17 or 18% plus 4% for "kitchen love" prices had already been raised since Covid and I was willing to live with that. Who gets the mandatory tips? Most people want to tip wait staff. Overall, the place is overpriced (which won't change), service is slow (I'll chalk that up to it being the first week open and everyone working out the kinks), and the food isn't terrible. Came here with my boyfriend for the first time and we had a great experience. The host got us seated immediately and our server was so nice. Visiting my mom-to-be again, daughter, she ordered delivery from Pete's. She ordered the vegi pizza, wings and kids spaghetti w/french bread. The kid's spaghetti was a good size portion and my 1st grandson enjoyed it tremendously. We were concerned the wings might be too hot/spicy but tasted great with a sauce on the side. Next time we'll get more wings. I haven't had pizza that I thought tasted good until Pete's vegi pizza. The dough was cooked perfectly. The sauce and toppings accented each other. We went here with a group on Easter Sunday. They cook with canola oil & olive oil. I got to have calamari & it was yummy! Also had fried artichoke hearts, and I had flatbread pizza which was full of veggies. Sweet green tea was good, everyone else liked their food, and service was really good. Steak flatbread had Gorgonzola on it, which was ok, but made it very rich. BLT sandwich was the real disappointment...thin sparse 2 pieces of bacon, thin tomato slices on a huge French roll for $20. Service was so slow (waitress disappeared) we had to ask another server where the food was and she said it was the BLT holding up the order! And they charge 4% for kitchen staff gratuity. I need to write regarding our experience on Sunday, 12/17/17. Our party of 7 went to the Manteca location around 7:30 P.M. We were excited to indulge in awesome food and drinks. The restaurant was nearly empty. We sat for about 20 minutes and seemed to be ignored at first. Let me be clear, no one had even approached or greeted us. Not for a drink order, nor for a simple hello. At this point, we were curious as to what the wait was about. One of the members in our party casually mentioned to the crew that we were ready to order and while it was clear that our request was heard, there was no response or change in service. After this, almost 10 minutes surpassed with no response from the crew. We then decided to take our business to Red Robin next door. We were promptly seated and the experience was vastly different. Now, we really tried to give a little extra time but it seemed the crew on hand that night weren't interested in giving good customer service. I'm sure this is not standard practice for your company. This place is really good and worth your money! I say this, because the portion sizes were HUGE for the cost it was worth that we took home leftovers. Some places are so expensive, and they only bring you a little bit of food. Not Pete's, though! Not to mention it's right across the street from the movie theaters, so it would be nice to come eat an early dinner first and then head straight to the movies one day. We brought our mom for Mother's Day, and she enjoyed it very much. The combo platter for appetizer was very tasty! I can't recall what alcoholic drink we had exactly, but it was a delicious blue raspberry lemonade (something along those lines). You definitely want to get there as soon as possible, because you cannot make reservations. The earlier, the better. It's very seldom that I write a bad review for a business but this restaurant needs some serious retraining in customer service. We checked in with a party of 20 and after several minutes of different parties checking in ahead of us. I asked the female "general manager" if it were possible to break our large party into smaller groups to allow us to be seated sooner. She responded rudely with a defiant "No!" as if I had asked her to give me a free meal. I explained that our kids who just finished a high school basketball game were hungry. She told me it was the restaurant policy NOT to break large groups into smaller parties. I honestly have never heard that before. I've never met someone so rude in the way she responded raising her voice and acting as if we were asking her to do something extra ordinary. As the general manager that represents the business, it's unfortunate that they chose the wrong person to represent this establishment. Stay away! read more

My sandwich had a barely any meat in it at all and the avacado was only on one side of the sandwich and 1 piece of bacon we paid 50 $ for that meal and it was bad no flavor. We got water for the kids and when they said it tasted weird I tried it and the water actually tasted dirty, like actual dirt is the best way to explain it, the server kindly replaced them with lemonade, but we should've taken that as a red flag and left. We waited 45 minutes for two kids pizzas, a flatbread dish, and a chicken sandwich. It was busy however no one was running expo and two men who looked like upper management possibly in charge were off to the side of the line just talking the whole time we were there. The food itself did not justify the wait at all. It was very cheap tasting and very fast foodish- the prices are not. My kids, who adore pizza didn't eat more than one slice, they said the cheese tasted weird. I tried it and it was abnormally sweet and tasted off. The steak flatbread was burnt and way too crispy, think like a thin breadstick. Husbands chicken sandwich was mediocre but the fries had that frozen flavor. Beer was stale and overpriced. I can't understand any of the positive reviews. Poorly run and obviously the cheapest, and not at all fresh ingredients they could find. Obvious to say we won't be returning. read more

We just had dinner there and the food was great, but it was SO COLD INSIDE YOUR NOSE STARTS RUNNING. I TOOK THE TEMP INSIDE WITH PHONE AND IT WAS 68°. Making a pitstop heading home after a weekend in Oakland. Nice little location with a huge bar including 25 beers on tap. We opted for the lunch special which included a soup or salad. You couldn't beat the price for the amount of food you get. Granted I didn't snap pictures of all our food (Calamari, Salad and pizzas) the food was delicious.
