For the cashier to say, you must get the $11 pour over the most expensive without any reason left me ehh. I told her I can only afford to buy my friend one of their 3 $9 pour over options. She kept giving me the next expensive $10 option. I mean come on. The misstep is having a trainee make a pricey pour over. Pour overs is an art and reflection of the roast. If disrespecting everyone. Ahh gave me bad vibes when I saw the trainee who has never done a pour over do one. If you were going to train anyone, it shouldn't be on a customer's pour over because you can gonna get crap from people like me. You have the staff and trainee drink the pour over of the trainee. The bad: The drink I ordered for $7.00 (w / tax) was about 3 sips of coffee. I've never had a drink anywhere that offered so little value for the price paid. Good deal for them - not so good for me. Also, they don't take cash which is a dangerous and bad idea. They are just making it easier for the government to move to a digital currency which will be a disaster. I've been quite hesitant to try DO Coffee this early on during its soft opening due to the mixed reviews but as a fellow Yelp Elite member, my duty calls and trying new businesses is my top priority. Here's what I ordered: **Iced Americano: My americano was quite sour and very light. Tasted very watered down with a sour note. (1/5) **Yuzu Cold Drip: As a yuzu lover, I understand that the flavor itself is very overpowering but I couldn't taste cold drip at all. The yuzu portion was delicious but it almost felt like I was consuming a dessert. Definitely a plus for not having an artificial yuzu flavor but overall very confusing since it's advertised as a coffee beverage. (2/5) The prices are quite average versus its competitors but the size is extremely small. The size of the cups look small in pictures but they're even smaller in person. The interior seating area also looks quite spacious in the pictures but it's actually quite small. There's barely any room to walk with the amount of people waiting inside. I went on a random weekday at 9:05 AM and there was already a line with four or five orders ahead of me. Service was good but nothing out of the ordinary that stood out. The parking situation is the worst part, as they're in a newly renovated strip mall with Fogo De Chao, In-N-Out, Omomo, Popping Yolk, Still Coffee, and others. There's a few 15 minute parking spots available in front of the shop but unless you come during an off-hour, you'll be waiting for a significantly longer time. If you enjoy paying a ridiculous amount for a small, subpar drink, then DO Coffee is for you. I cannot recommend this spot to anyone during this opening phase or ever, even. I highly recommend Still Coffee & Treats next door if you want delicious drinks made with love for a more affordable price. read more

nice addition to cafes in brea! do coffee is right across brea mall, parking can be a little bit of a struggle since the plaza it's located in is busy. went on a saturday around 1 pm, almost every seat was taken and there was a line but it went by quick. staff is friendly + informative and the space is gorgeous. i got the matcha latte ($5.75) and added guava cold foam ($1). i have to say the matcha latte is grainy/powdery here...guava foam is nice to add but didn't really enhance the drinks flavor. something to note is i thought my drink would be $6.75 but they rung me up was a matcha einspanner ($7) and replaced the vanilla cold foam to guava. the difference is only $0.25, which is not a big deal but i'm wondering why they charged it like that. overall, this wouldn't be my place for matcha. however, i feel do coffee's focus is more on the coffee/cold brew which could be better in taste over the matcha! glad i got to visit and check off my list of oc cafes read more

I am a weekly regular here. I love their coffee here. Coffee is strong and well balanced with the flavors. I normally get sea salt toffee and the camellia coffee, I really love that the jasmine compliments the coffee and it's not perfumey at all! Their guava coffee is good too! It tastes almost like black tea and the guava is so strong. I love that they have decaf option. Their baked goods never disappoint either. I will say though I am not a fan of their matcha. It's lacking a lot of depth and matcha flavor. read more

I came on a weekday before closing and it was packed and a bit chaotic inside. Got the vanilla matcha eisnpanner with oat milk and 100% sweet. The drink is surprisingly still not that sweet and when you mix all the layers well, the flavor is pretty good. A few negatives is that the price is steep (almost $8) and while the worker was taking our order, she was interrupted by the manager(?) telling her what she did wrong on a previous order.. thought that could be done on the side instead of in front of all the customers. This is a new coffee shop in the heart of Brea, and it offers a unique brown aesthetic, which is a refreshing change from the typical white designs you see at many coffee shops these days. I really like the vibe! I ordered the Matcha Einspanner, and my friend got the Vanilla Einspanner. The menu mentioned that the coffee Einspanner could be made with either an Americano or a Latte, but the cashier didn't ask us for our preference. We had to clarify by asking if we were supposed to choose between the two. The cashier seemed a bit confused and wasn't sure, so she had to step away and ask another employee for clarification. Additionally, the cup size felt smaller than the typical 12 oz. (Maybe it was the cup design?) I was really excited to check this place out! First off, the vibe is vibin'! Loved the aesthetic and the design they put into the shop. The tree adds such a nice touch of greenery and definitely stands out as a statement piece. We tried the hot Sea Salt Toffee Latte, iced Matcha Vanilla Einspanner, and the iced Yuzu Cold Drip. The Sea Salt Toffee Latte was perfect - both tasty and well-crafted. The matcha was also amazing! The matcha powder on top was a nice touch, and I'd definitely get this one again. Just a heads up, it is on the sweeter side. The Yuzu Cold Drip had great flavor. If you're a Yuzu fan, this is your drink. Personally, I wouldn't get this for myself as it is a very specific taste and couldn't finish the whole thing, but that's just my preference. The pastries? So good. I'm not 100% sure what I got, but one was some sort of blueberry cheese danish (amazing), and the other was a custard-filled croissant with chocolate chips and almonds (also amazing). Service was super friendly and even though we got there around 9am when they opened, people were already lining up. They had a sign saying they're still in their soft opening phase, so the hours are a bit limited right now. Hoping they expand them soon! Overall, such a great experience. My new favorite matcha place and it's close to work . Been there 5 times this week I'm obsessed.

With the addition of DO Coffee opening right next to Omomo, I expect this plaza to become even busier than it currently gets. Parking can be a nightmare if you come at the wrong times, even on weekdays. Best to beware. The interior is gorgeously decorated in dark wood and chrome accents, with the warm lighting creating a pleasant and inviting atmosphere. There are plenty of seats if you would like to stay and chat. However, it is not an ideal space to do work/study. I got the salted toffee latte, while my friend got the vanilla einspanner and an almond croissant. I enjoyed my drink. It definitely meets the Asian parent standard of 'sweet but not too sweet'. The toffee taste was present but did not overpower the espresso. My friend said her drink was not sweet at all except for the cream, which she was not expecting, although flavor profile-wise I thought it was pretty good as well. They tell you it's best to warm up the pastries, and I agree. It's more on the soft side if you don't. As it is their soft opening, they do not have all dairy alternatives readily available just yet. I'm sure the current feedback they're receiving would definitely up the experience once they're fully open. I'd say their drinks are very affordable, especially with the hiked up prices everywhere else. I'd love to come back and try the camellia or matcha :) read more

Unlike most other coffee shops now, their menu is pretty simple while still having a decent amount of offerings, which I like. I was surprised at their prices but their cups are much smaller than other shops, like maybe 12oz at most. I got a matcha & my husband got a cold brew. Iced matcha latte (4/5): strong matcha taste, vibrant green color, not too sweet, paired well with 2% milk. Matcha was slightly grainy with more astringency than I prefer but still good overall. Didn't ask what grade matcha they used but seemed like ceremonial or barista grade. Bonus points for keeping their matcha powder in the fridge to preserve the quality. Drip cold brew (4.5/5): smooth, bold, clean, very low acidity. Bonus points since I haven't really seen coffee shops in the area offer cold foams like the ones listed. The drinks were on the sweeter side, with the taste of the coffee sort of lost within the fruity flavors, but honestly I think that's what I enjoyed the most about it.
