We made reservations a few weeks ago. I could never locate a menu online, so I made sure to take photos to post here. I went with a group of people, and we tried the Filet, the Ribeye, and the fried shrimp. Overall, the meat was excellent. The filets were fork tender even when cooked to Medium. The ribeye was very tender as well. The fried shrimp was great. The biggest thing lacking were the sides. The salads were a very small portion of chilled chopped greens with a few bits of tomatoes and onions on top. I tried the house lemon vinaigrette, which was loaded with garlic bits. If you do not love garlic, do not try the house dressing. It was a bit too much for me, and that's all I could taste for the rest of the night. We all ended up getting baked potatoes as our side. They came out super hot and steaming, but were very over cooked at our 5:30 reservation. The steaks were phenomenal. For the price, we were hoping our whole meal would be just as great. Service was great and our drinks stayed full. While we did not drink alcohol, I saw other guests being served beer and wine. We've been here a couple of times. The first time being the best. The last time being the LAST. Service was slow, our waitress was trying her hardest while helping the kitchen. But 2 hour wait for steaks, ordered a medium porterhouse and it came out cold in the center, no seasoning, and was gross, I had one bite and couldn't do it. The manager never even came out when we were there for well over 3 hours. Not one person had a steak cooked right. Side options are so limited, for $80 for 2 people they could at least put the butter on the potatoes for you. Love the ole Greyhound station, but sadly we won't be back. read more

One of the best steaks I've had. Love the location in the old Greyhound Bus Station. Great atmosphere in the bar. Owner and staff are always very friendly. Lucky to have them in downtown Jackson. Steaks are pricey but large enough to split. read more

Went in on New Year's Eve at about 6:00 and there was no wait. Food was phenomenal. Drinks were great. Service was awesome. I'll be back.

I had reservations for my husband's birthday in May. The staff was wonderful and accommodating. The food however was terrible. The steaks were so fatty and bland we were hardly able to choke it down. The group had filets and ribeyes so we expected good quality. After spending over 700 dollars we will not be back. read more

OK so I traveled extensively and I have eaten numerous times at Doe's in Little Rock Arkansas, Paducah KY, Greenville Mississippi and even the one in Hot Springs Arkansas back when that one was in existence. I was so excited to find out that Jackson Tennessee was going to be getting a Doe's. We have been three times since they opened hoping things would improve. Each and every time we were utterly and completely disappointed. The steaks while they are very large have absolutely zero flavor. All the other Doe's I have been to have fantastic flavor! The french fries are good though but that's a pretty expensive tab for some good fries. I love tamales, but prefer them wrapped in masa. These are not wrapped. That's a surprise to most first timers. I really hope that PAUL and his crew can pull it together and make a go of it because we really want it to work here in Jackson. We would love to try out the bar one night but I do not understand why the only bar option is to sit in 100° heat with the garage door open in this climate. read more

If eating at Does eat place in Jackson,TN isn't on the top of your list to eat, it should be! Amazing food, staff and environment. Beautiful bar area with lots of seating. Would be a great space to utilize for business meetings, private parties, etc. You won't be disappointed eating here! Delicious! read more

Decide to eat here before a show. Service from Rachel, was perfect!! We had the tamales with chili as an appetizer which was excellent. Then split the 2 lb rid eye and it was so tender! Live music and great drinks!! read more

We were excited to try Doe's Eat Place in Jackson last night. The place from the outside looks unique. Inside is diner average. For the prices its extremely overrated. Salad is average. Steamed vegetables were way over steamed and on the mushy side. Steak is a good cut of beef, however very bland compared to other top notch restaurants. "Papas steakhouse, H3, Butcher Shop, Ruth Chris, etc." We ordered surf and turf and I found out something about lobster I never knew. For the first time in my life halfway through my lobster I could taste and smell ammonia. I thought it was strange and not knowing why it would taste like ammonia I googled "why would my lobster taste like ammonia." "It was spoiled and warns to not eat it" Check it out for yourself. You could even smell it in the shell toward the end of the tail. Waitress took my plate and come back several minutes later and said they couldn't smell it. I responded I bet you can't. She mentioned the manager would adjust our bill giving us $13 off. No apologies or concern from the manager/owner. He never come to our table to discuss. At this point my wife and I could not eat the rest of the food. I had at least 8oz of a 10oz filet left and I was asked if I wanted a to go box for the remainder of steak and I refused. There is no way we will eat any food from this place ever again. My lobster in the future will come from a fresh tank only restaurant. I would rather pay what I paid there to McDonalds, at least it's consistent. Our waitress at this point became very rude trying to make it appear to be our fault like we wanted something for nothing.
