    My satisfied smile

I have never had such a great experience in fine steak dining in my life! The steak was filet mignon with lobster tail. Typical surf and turf. The cut and the temperature were perfect. The hostesses were impeccable and very friendly.

My husband and I decided to stop in here to eat, after seeing an episode of "Somebody feed Phil " that one was in Mississippi. But we saw this one and wanted to check it out. We decided to have steak, of course, and it was as delicious as we thought it would be! We shared one steak and still took some home. Our servers name was Clark and he was very attentive and had a great personality, he even made us a specialty cocktail. Very yummy! It was like a cherry cordial! If you're looking for a delicious lunch, you've got to try this place out! The restaurant is inside of an old greyhound art deco station, and it's totally fabulous! It transports you back in time! ( if you can imagine that is! Lol)

    Awesome Oysters

Third time dining at Doe's and will certainly return! If you're looking for white table cloth fine dining...this isn't your place. If you're looking for a chain steakhouse with a thousand choices on a menu, low lights, and so-so steaks...this isn't your place. If you're looking for a perfectly cooked steak that's enough to feed two, paired with a great baked potato or hand-cut fries in what feels like grandma's dining room, this is your place. Full bar. Great food. Pleasant atmosphere in a great historic building. Like all businesses, they are struggling to find servers so those who are working are running themselves to death. Natalie took great care of us.

Great steaks and southern dining! Tamales and catfish are really good. Glad they are downtown in Jackson.

Which is unfortunate, because the food was pretty good. Service was just ok. They got my drink order wrong, and when I asked for a straw it took close to 5 minutes to get it. I would have went to the bar to get one but I was on the inside of the booth. While the food had good flavor, my asparagus was overcooked and mushy, and my Brussel sprouts were cold. My husband ordered them also, so I ate half of his while waiting for them to bring me new ones. 20 minutes later the server asked how my new Brussel sprouts were, and I had to break the news that they never came. The hubby and my kid had the filet and both were super happy with their food. Women's bathroom was pretty clean, but apparently the men's was a disaster and he said the urinals were leaking onto the ground. His hypothesis is that years of urine is causing the foul odor. The place was a little dusty, cobwebs and a layer of grease. But that late at night, for a sit down meal, you're severely limited.

Unfortunately, the food didn't start off great. My strip was very tough and full of gristle. I let our waitress know, and when she came back, I asked if she had mentioned it to the manager. She said she had, but wasn't sure if the manager was coming over. I asked her to please let the manager know that I'd like to speak with them directly. A few minutes later, the manager, Eileen, came to our table to check on us. I explained the issue with my steak and also mentioned that my wife's ribeye was quite dry. Eileen immediately stepped up to make things right. She offered to have my wife's steak redone and immediately took my NY strip off the check, promising to address the issues with the kitchen staff. I really appreciated her attentiveness and quick action to resolve the situation. On our way out, Eileen checked in again and asked us to please give them another chance in the future. Thanks to Eileen, a frustrating dinner was turned into a good experience. We really appreciate a manager who cares about customer satisfaction, and we will definitely give them another try!

A very nice girl brought out the food, forgot the drinks and condiments so had to go back in, we thought we had everything until we got home and realized there was no bread for the alfredo as well as the mushrooms I order(my FAV side) so I was super disappointed with that. The food overall was OK, my son LOVES the chicken tenders(which are more like nuggets, he always wants two orders) just sad that every time something is missing from our orders.
