Lowering my review based on my visit today. Bummed. Food was pretty good but service was crap. The older woman at the register can barely hear & when our order came out I noticed it was incomplete. I told her politely that our order was wrong & she said I should have looked at my receipt & was trying to get free food. She literally had no concept that it was possible that she made a mistake. I listened to my daughters both order, I helped one & she left off an entire child's food. Super great being treated like crap & like I was asking for a hand out. All very loudly in front of customers. I paid for the missing sliders & then my kiddo got to eat while we all waited. Disappointing. I'm fine paying for what she didn't ring up but not ok with her treating me like a thief not only in front of my children but also other customers. Will I come back? Probably not. read more

Love this place. This is our go to for quick soul food that isn't fast food. The Motha Clucka is the best bang for your buck hands down. The impossible burger is DELICIOUS, but you're going to need to order at least two with double meet, they are small! Their fries are good, their veggie brats are bomb! But you need to order a side with it or get two of them. The reason for not giving it a 5 star is that ordering just one thing isn't filling and yet still pricy. read more

I love it! The staff were super friendly, the hot dog was excellent, and the fries were perfect! I had the chili dog which really required a knife and fork to eat but as I was with friends I had to tough it up and make a mess. The bun, honestly I am not sure what the hell it is but it was incredibly delicious. The dog was real hot dog, not that meat filler garbage. The fries were very crisp on the outside and soft potato-y on the inside. Side of "Fry Sauce" (what we southerners call comeback sauce) and I was a happy man. I really enjoyed this. This place has plenty of seating and is super clean. Menu is easy to navigate and simple. Makes the decisioning process quick. Staff is always friendly even if it takes them a second to get to the register. Kind of like a 5 guys setup where they use limited staff. The person that takes the order is usually the person who brings the food out as well. The Hawaiian roles for bread make all of their dishes super soft and sweet. I have never had a bad meal here. Just know this is a meat focused place so you will get full. Not a place for a light meal. But a delicious meal none the less. You won't go wrong here as far as food. We finally tried Dog Haus. Been seeing it for a while and I'm always interested in a hot dog joint! I must say the thing I'm most disappointed in is the prices and the size of the dogs. Paying that much for a hot dog or a brat even with toppings you would expect it to be like 25-40% larger. The Das Brat was mediocre, I've had real German brats, in Germany this doesn't compare. I mean the mustard and kraut were pretty good but they don't save the brat. Definitely not an $8 bratwurst! My wife got the chili the kid. It was good. The beef hot dog was only mediocre and what made hers was the toppings. I also got a plain beef hotdog just to try it, a plain beef hot dog is like $6!!! It also gave me a chance to try the beef dog in isolation without toppings. Needless to say in isolation it was subpar, not cooked enough and just kind of a letdown. We also had an order of the cheese tots. They are the reason the review is 3 stars instead of 2. The tots were great and the cheese sauce was amazing! The service was just alright and we were there before the dinner rush on a Saturday and I saw some unsanitary practices in the kitchen. One cook was picking up hotdogs with his bare hands and handling buns with his bare hands and touching all sorts of things. Another had gloves on but was putting his hands on his hips with gloves on and then handling food. All of these practices did get better as the dinner rush came in though. All in all I most likely won't be back... wish it was a different experience. read more

Wow! This semi fast food joint was a big surprise to me! The burger, the fries and the service is so great here! Its my first time here and the cashier taking my order went over popular items under each category: hot dog, sausage, and burger and her personal favorite. She did almost get me to order the bacon wrapped hot dog, because it's national bacon day. I ended up ordering the hangover which includes smoked bacon, haus chili, fried egg, mayo, and white American cheese. That darn fried egg won me over and I'm glad it did. Sweet Hawaiian rolls were used as the bun. The bun could've been toasted a little for that crunchy texture, but overall it was a great burger. The fries were slightly salted and fresh off the hot oil! Mmmm. If you take a picture of your food and post on Instagram or Facebook, you get a free shake! read more

Review for non-avid yelpers (cupcakes without frosting): Cowboy Dog - all beef, grass fed, maybe pop tart fed (not sure) great tang of the bbq sauce, with melty cheese and bacon to add to the sweet savory model. Bun crispy outside with a soft flaky inside. Downtown Dog - The perfect sweet and savory dog mix, pickled peppers added a great sweet spice to contrast the mustard, and the mayo gave it a creaminess that enveloped the dog. Pairs well with a 1920's aged Dutch Chocolate Milkshake. (okay its not aged). Chili cheese tots - exactly what you would expect good beef chili, melted cheese, on crispy tots. If you expect anything else, get out. Review for avid yelpers (butter mixed with sugar... aka delicious): I went to this place right after I had ate some chinese in the area... gas aint free. I can only make these trips so often so I am having to go to two or more places when in the area. Yelp dedication? Yes. Do I consider myself a hero? Yes. So that's how you know I'm not lying about this place. I was already full from chinese early, and good chinese at that. I tried the two dogs and each had its different take on sweet and savory. One used bacon and bbq sauce, the other used pickled peppers with mustard. The dog is definitely a standout in the sense that it is a hot dog. It was a solid beef dog with great spices added in, but the stars of the show were the toppings that took it to the next level. Very great flavor profiles, kudos. They had a free milkshake deal that was happening when I went so that made me happy because it was the perfect dessert, and the chili cheese tots were... exactly that. THE VERDICT: You have to try it out if you haven't. I will likely go back at some point and have some of their burgers which as I watched them be crafted and grilled... I had a little drool run down my face. They nailed their dogs and wowed me with the creativity and the prices were reasonable and they always seem to be giving something away. I had lunch around 1p on a weekday and the service was pretty fast. I had the Ringer burger and it was quite good. The hawaiian roll as a bun is a nice twist. I did find that everything was greasy, from the hands of the guy who took my order and the pen he handed me to sign, to the table, food tray, and the cardboard napkin holders...all had a film of grease on them. Great quality & taste, reasonable prices. LIKES: I love the word "free" so I was happy to see that I got a free burger slider when I checked in. I ordered the Ave Maria burger and cheese tater tots. The mushrooms on the burger were sautéed and had a lot of flavor. The meat was tender and juicy, almost dripping out of the burger as I ate it! They use the Kings Hawaiian rolls for all of their bread. It gave a nice sweet flavor to the mushroom burger. Their tater tots were crispy and golden brown. And the cheese over the top wasn't overwhelming. They give you a free shake if you post a photo of your food on Facebook or Instagram. My colleague did this and got a salted caramel shake and I tried some of it. It was delicious. He ordered the Fonzie sausage with chili cheese tater tots and loved both. DISLIKES: The free burger slider I got from checking in didn't have a ton of flavor. It was just OK. And their prices are definitely higher than I'm used to paying for a burger at lunch. But the quality of what we got was much greater than 90% of the burgers around the valley so it goes to show that you do get what you pay for. I just probably won't make it a habit of coming here real frequently on lunch breaks. UPDATE: I tried their small corn dog dipped in root beer batter. Holy cow! It was so light and crispy. Probably the best corn dog I've ever had. I also tried the one night in Bangkok sausage. The peanuts and cabbage coleslaw on top complemented the spicy sausage and peanut sauce. In my opinion this is food you would get at a state fair, carnival, or a food truck event. Something you would get once in a blue moon just for kicks. The pricing was a bit expensive for food that offered zero nutrition. I didn't expect nutrition here, but they lacked anything light, even if it were vegetarian. They over cheesed the fries & tots, which are already heavy fried with American/ nacho cheese sauce. I ordered the cowboy burger & it wasn't anything special. LAST TIME I GO HERE! I usually don't write negative reviews, but I feel it would be a disservice to not be honest about how this place has changed lately. One of our good friends introduced us to this place a while back, and we had thought we found one of the best breakfast burrito spots in Utah. I thought it was a bit strange that they did not actually advertise their breakfast burritos inside the store anywhere, so unless you've heard about them or figured it out online somehow you would never know that they served Dee's. They started off to be extremely good, and unfortunately took a rapid decline with every time we visited. The quality in the ingredients has seemed to really take a decline, and the fact that they just raised the prices has made this place a thing of the past for us. To charge $12 for a breakfast burrito that is loaded with cheap tater tot's is insane. On top of that, the inside of the restaurant has lacked cleanliness all around and unfortunately we are saying bon voyage to this place. They reallly need a revamp in staff and care for the cleanliness and quality of their food. I hope they actually take the time and make some good changes and wish them the best...but for now, we will not be returning here. read more

While the hot dogs are delish, one hamburger in particular has won my heart...the HOLY AIOLI. Damn it's tasty! Rich and caramelized, sweet and savory, Hawaiian buns soft and warm. It just melts in your mouth. Pair it with some cheese tots or delicious onions rings...You really can't go wrong here so go nuts. It's aaaall good. I have never had an "owner" of a business be so rude. I experienced cold food and my order not right. I called in to make sure my name was on their Make it right list since corporate office had told me they would put it on there. She asked my name and wanted all the details.She accused me of already writing a review. I said no it must have been others that I heard complaining that day. . Well NOW I am writing a review! I said I already gave that to corporate. She said that didnt matter that she has to verify everything. She said just a minute I will check; well after 9 minutes of listening to her talk to employees I hung up and called back. She said well I am busy, if you want to complain you have to call back between 3p-5p She said she would call me back that afternoon. Days later she still hasnt. That's just sad sad customer service. I truly can't find one wrong thing with this place. I came here on a recommend from a friend and didn't get a hot dog, which will give me another reason to come back, instead I picked the hangover burger. I wasn't feeling a dog at the time but man, they looked absolutely delish. The hangover burger had such great flavor. The house chili was great, I loved the egg on top, the burger was seasoned really well. Everything just came together on it. The only slightly weird thing was the buns being the kings hawaiian rolls. I actually love those dinner rolls and it didn't take away from the experience. They even toasted them which was great. The customer service was great, they were the ones who recommend the hangover burger. They kept the store tidy and clean. I didn't see any trash or anything on the floors. Overall it was a really great experience. The food was flavorful and full, they had tons of items that I want to come back and try. If you are wanting a decent hot dog, check these guys out. I am still in the ever elusive hunt for a Sonoran Hot Dog. I lived in Tucson for 14 years and they have a hot dog that is deep fried and wrapped in bacon. The Dog Haus had one similar on their menu so we headed out. Sadly it wasn't the same at all. Yes, it was a deep fried hot dog wrapped in bacon. Served on a Hawaiian Sweet Bun topped with Jalepenos, Aeoli Sauce and Mexican Cheese. The combination of flavors was just spicy but the rest of the flavor was hard to detect. The onion rings were really greasy and tasted marginal at best. For two of us, the bill was over $25.00. That seems way too much for two hot dogs. The decor is modern and clean but the prices are way too much for what you get. Oh well, we tried, but won't be back. read more

My boyfriend is obsessed with hot dogs. As his birthday came around, and I knew this was the place I was going to have to try out with him. After a little pre-planning, I saw that Dog Haus allows their veggie friends to eat here as well, offering the vegan Field Roast Sausages in lieu of the meatier dogs, so the plan was a go. As we walked in, I told the boyf: "Don't worry about the price or quantity, go crazy with what you want." And thus, the following was ordered between the two of us: (Don't worry. Not all of it was consumed in a single sitting) -The Old Town Dog [bacon-wrapped dog, jalapenos, cotija cheese, caramelized onions, aioli] -The Cowboy [BBQ sauce, crispy onions and cheese] -The Soo Cali [Arugula, avocado, tomato basil aioli, crispy onions & tomato] + vegan hot dog -Corn dog [in a root beer batter] -Chili Cheese tater tots -Plain tater tots Were you able to read through that without salivating? I ordered my food through grubhub, which can be detrimental to the overall quality of the received product. However, I was pleasantly surprised that the sandwich made it to the destination in perfect order. The presentation of the to-go bag was really nice. Not something you see often... now let's get to the food. I ordered the Bubu's Hot Chicken Grilled Cheese, in all its fiery goodness glory. This sammy made me a believer after on bite. This place reminds me a lot of Bumble Bee, minus the Asian twist. Still worth every calories though. If you do Yelp check-in, you can get a slider. You also get a free shakes if you post in instagram and tag them. So you see, there are lots of incentives to visit. Don't be misled by their name though. Other than Dogs, they also serve Sausages, Burgers and Sliders here. I was having a bad week so I went with The Freiburger. It's a burger with fried egg, haus slaw and fries topped with american cheese and mayo. Right? All good stuff stacked into one. In my word - guaranteed satisfaction! It was delicious as I expected. But things got really messy. Half way through, I got mayo all over my face and hands with bits of slaw and fries all over my table. I looked like a food-deprived cookie monster. Not cool at all. The Hot Mutha Clucka comes with chicken dog, and also good. There are plenty of tables and parking is not an issue. Service is quite friendly. So I am giving this place 4 stars because even though the food is good, I haven't found anything unique on the menu yet that is not just swapping of condiments. Since these are mostly greasy fried stuff, I can't have these too often but I will definitely be back when the crave for comfort food kicks in. read more
