Dolce Fantasia is by far my favorite go to restaurant when my wife and I are in the Staten Island area. We followed Dolce Fantasia from their original location in other parts of Staten Island then the owner finally found her new home at this current location. The service is always excellent because the owner herself will introduce herself, make any recommendations and provide top of the line service that is needed from any great restaurant. Food is always great here. We come when we're in the area of Staten Island. I know the owner changed places and this new location has all the right feels. Ample seating and ambiance is great. VERY cute bakery/cafe with wonderful service. The couple who runs this place is lovely. You can tell they're really hard workers and that they care. Most importantly, it seems they love what they do and love their customers. It's SO important when you can feel that kind of good energy because then you know you're in good hands. I came for a big birthday dinner. All the appetizers were pre-ordered and we got to choose from four entrees (bronzino, chicken, a burger, or salmon). When it comes to large table spreads, some dishes are always better than others. The food was good. I really enjoyed the octopus, charcuterie board, and the burrata (especially the sauce it came with). The middle course was pasta and they gave us a tasting of two. One was a vodka sauce pasta and the other had bolognese. Both good. By the time our entrees arrived I could barely eat another bite. I had the chicken. It was fine, nothing special. I liked the porcini sauce it came with and the mashed potatoes. Since it's a bakery they have a nice selection of sweets. Too bad I had zero room for desserts but people seemed to enjoy the profiteroles. On a Saturday night this tiny restaurant was packed. Amazingly delicious food and friendly personalized service! After seeing a number of promising reviews online, my wife and I stopped by Dolce Fantasia for an early dinner looking for some Italian specialties off beaten path. To say it was the right choice is to say nothing. The food we got at Dolce Fantasia was so amazingly delicious and non-standard like we never had before. We were surprised the food of such quality even existed on Staten Island. All the dishes we ordered were from chef special list of the day and each was a piece of culinary art. We started with Burrata which was served with pesto sauce, marinated tomatoes, herbs, and "green caviar (sea grapes)". The taste of this combo was totally out of this world! Soft, silky, delicate, and just deliciouuuus! It was hard to stop on this one to go on to the next dish. Next we got a cheese Focaccia topped with black truffle shaves. It was straight from the oven and tasted great. The chef (he is also the owner of the place) came to us and explained that in fact this was "pinsa" - an Italian delicacy of hand-pressed pizza made with special dough, making it so light. This explained why we haven't tasted anything like this before. Next course was Gnocchi stuffed with white truffles ricotta in truffle cream sauce topped by black truffle shaves. And again the combo created a unique and memorable sense for our palates! And then came the entree. It was a Lamb shank, cooked to perfection, covered with a "secret" thick sauce, and standing on a bed of saffron risotto. Needless to say, the taste was outstanding and the dish was finished in no time! Then came the desserts - Chocolate souffle and Lava cake - that were as delicious as all the preceding courses. It was certainly the best Lava cake I ever had. The service was also great. Friendly, welcoming, and personalized. Overall, this restaurant is certainly one of the best we ever visited and I'm sure we'll be back soon. Five out of five for service and food! The owner is a sweetheart and she was very knowledgeable when jt came to her food and the northern region. The pasta was fresh and homemade. Ive been to Dolce Fantasia at their other SI location (previously around Foster Ave but that location closed down). Came here for brunch with my gf and it was delicious. So i took my son back here for lunch and we had a great time! They only serve brunch on the wkends. I had dinner at their old SI location and it was delicious!!! Service at both locations are wonderful. Very attentive, very thorough and knowledgeable of their menu and friendly. If you never had authentic Italian cuisine this is the place to go!!! I was not impressed with this restaurant. I was excited to try the brunch, especially after reading so many good reviews, but unfortunately it didn't hold up to expectations. The food portions were very tiny compared to the prices listed. Nothing was included in the Sunday brunch, not even coffee or tea. We ordered the steak 6oz and two savory cornetti along with a few other dishes. The entire steak and eggs dish, listed at $22 , was served as a open sandwich, identical to the savory cornetti with ham and cheese dish listed at $7. Drinks are not listed on the menu and we had to ask if the burger came with fries because it doesn't list anything included on the menu. I adore this place. The owner is so sweet, the food is fresh, delicious, and comes out pretty quickly. I've had brunch, lunch, and dinner now and every meal was great. The Tartufato panini is a personal favorite. Husband got the truffle mashed potato and chicken sausage and loved it. Would recommend against the burger personally, but I haven't found a burger spot in Staten Island that I've liked yet, so maybe I'm not the best judge of that. We found this amazing restaurant from great reviews while passing through Staten Island on a road trip. It was such an absolute pleasure to dine there. The space is not fancy and neither are the prices. The menu and food however were extraordinary. I had the arugula salad that was fresh and the tomatoes were perfectly ripe, with a delicious cheese. Then the Parpadelle Telephono, homemade pasta with a wonderful pink sauce, grape tomatoes and fresh basil. My boyfriend had the lasagna. They also brought complementary focaccia with a red pepper sauce and became shortbread bars, that hit the spot; as well as a complementary extra glass of wine. Every dish is skillfully arranged and decorated. The flavor is impeccable. So far we've tried the stuffed zucchini flowers, the tuna and the four cheese flatbread pizza with truffles for appetizer. All three were amazing and we can honestly say we've never tasted anything like it before. For main course we've tried (my personal favorite) fillet mignon with porcini mushroom sauce and pasta. Absolute flavor bomb. The meat melts in your mouth and the sauce is unforgettable. My husband ordered a lamb shank with risotto. The presentation was gorgeous and the meat was so tender it was falling off the bone. The risotto was very flavorful as well. The cappuccino and deserts were beautifully decorated and very flavorful. Every time I've picked up food from here I've been consistently impressed by the flavor and quality.
