Daiso is a Chinese inspired Dollar store with so much inventory that is well displayed and many many isles stuffed with merchandise. They do not offer any fresh grocery items and only have fun candy that is native to their country. You could easily spend an hour here browsing at all their goodies. Note some merchandise is better quality but keep looking. Also, they do not have all of the choices of an item in one display. For example, I was looking for travel zip containers for my cosmetics and their assortment was located all over the store. So it is a bit of an Easter Egg hunt, in my opinion. He showed me around, looked up additional items online at other stores and I told him I would be back. I visited at Home for furniture and found my best bet with availability (in-stock), price and convenience was located at Big Lots!, in The Colony. I returned late afternoon and Mr. Pat remembered me, I told him I was ready. One of the items was not available; he worked with his manager Erin and I was able to get the floor model. She was AMAZING, she made sure I received my discounts and again, very professional and attentive. I usually visit my neighborhood Big Lots for Knick knacks; but, I must say, I will be spending more time there thanks to Mr. Pat and the manager, Erin.

On the right is a majority of your fitness items, clothing and the back right corner is home decor and organization cubes. Their seasonal display was completely empty, just a strange empty spot in the midst of all the clutter. Since we had visited on the same day of the week and roughly at the same time (Saturday at lunch time) as we had the other location, I'm taking a guess that this location is short staffed. I only saw one employee and she was working the register, which is 2 less than what I had seen in Denton. The employee was very friendly and quite cheerful for working by herself. I have no complaints on the service we received at all. I just hope they get her some help, because there were a lot of customers in the store at the time. As a store, this is still a neat concept. I'm always complaining to my husband about dollar stores that shouldn't be allowed to have the word 'dollar' in their name because most of the store is way more than that, lol. This on the other hand, lives up to its name with everything truly being $5 or less. I really like that this is the only discount chain, that I am aware of, that has fitness items. Yoga mats, balance boards, hand weights and many of the apparel and accessories that go with it. That's neat and it's a cheap way to try out a new activity without dropping a lot of cash in case you hate it. They even have skateboards there! Both times I've gone into a location, I've badly wanted to buy the squares to build your own fitness floor. I have no idea why, I wouldn't use it, but I want it, lol.
