This rating is for the manager. I was in to get balloons and the cashier was about to assist me but the manager tells her "that's out of helium but there's 2 tanks in the back." The 2 cashiers asked why do they always get the heavy tank when it's out when they (the manager and other team members ) were there early in the day was aware of it and not replace it? There was a long line with the 2 cashiers. Instead of supporting her team by getting the tank or have another person get the tanks, she tells my cashier " no one can get the tanks so there's no helium, that's it!". She'd didn't care that I, the customer , can hear what she said and she'd rather loose the ballon sales than organize her store's helium supply. It shows how little she values customer service/satisfaction and her team. I feel sorry for her team who works so hard and are always so nice! read more

I love Dollar Tree for all the cool things I find and for all the money I save. This review is for the Hickey Blvd, Pacifica location. The customer service here is terrible. There is one in particular that is always rude. She never says hello and doesn't even say anything at the end of the sale. She just lays the receipt down instead of handing it to you. When I say thank you, she doesn't even respond. She just starts ringing up the next customer. Dollar Tree really needs to train all their employees some customer service skills. read more

Love this location! From kitchen utensils to pregnancy tests...this location has it all! The aisles are clean and the workers are always pleasant. And this is a far cry from the Dollar Tree in Colma near the Babies R Us which is always crowded and messy. Everything just seems to be better in Pacifica! Parking in the lot isn't really an issue unless you go around 6 pm on a weeknight when everyone seems to want to go to Lucky's. So I feel like if you're planning to go to a Dollar Store you know what you're getting yourself into. So I highly recommend this location for a clean and fun shop! read more

This is the main dollar store that I usually go to. Are usually have a great time and the employees are very helpful. Unfortunately today did not have the greatest experience. It was an employee named "Ronna" thrown out that was helping a customer and then when I asked for help walked away and simply said "no." Another employee that was already off the clock started to help me the best she could. It is nice to learn that there is another Dollar Tree opened! Located inside the Fairmont Shopping Center together with Rite Aid, Lucky, Subway,Pizza place, Video stores, Filipino and Chinese restaurants. This is not a very popular shopping center, due to its odd location and very limited shopping places. Too my surprise, this newly opened Dollar Tree is much smaller than the one on El Camino Real, about half of its size. Items have very limited choices. I found only 3 kinds of potato chips available while there are over 20 kinds in the Dollar Tree on El Camino. Give them a little more time and I am sure this place will improve. Always go here before you go to Target or the grocery store because you can save bigtime on great items you always need. They have a huge wall of kitchen items and I scored on some cute glassware last week. High quality TP and tissue, baggies, cleaning products, candy, dry goods, baked goods, spices, tortillas, camera cases, party items, bla bla bla.... just about every damn thing everyone needs. Today I needed glass pebbles for my plants and they had shitloads of colors and shapes! Way cheaper than Sloat Garden Center and craft stores. One DOLLA! The only problem is this.... you think you are going in to save some bucks on some items you normally get robbed for at the store, but you see these cute pet dishes, Coca-cola glassware, and mini baking ceramic things and you end up spending more than if you just bought the damn spices at Safeway. read more

They carry the most merchandise of all the Dollar stores I've been to. My favorite things to buy here are household items like Dawn dish detergent, Aluminum foil, etc. Greeting cards are 2 for $1. Party supplies and gift wrap and balloons. Children activity books. Snacks like chips and cookies too! This is also a great location where you can get your car worked on, shop at the Albertsons, the Xfinity store, or getting food at the burrito or Chinese places. read more

This place is a disaster. The aisles are disorderly and some of the products (food) have expired dates! That could be a lawsuit waiting to happen if someone gets poisoning eating expired food products! ENTRANCE IN THE BACK? A GOOD FIND FOR ONE DOLLAR, NO HOLLER! So I've only lived here all my life and driven by this place a million times going to Target or a funeral (such a contrast). But it took a trip to Arizona to visit a Dollar Tree store there. Then I was asked if there was a Dollar Tree by where I live . . . wasn't sure but I've seen IT something somewhere. And here it is! The driveway is tricky and I missed it the first time around, and what a surprise that the front door is in the back. An amazing store with more stuff that you don't need for $1 each. Looked for some cheap coffee filters and ended spending $17, mostly on stuff I could use but probably really don't need. Heck, it was cheap and going through the isles was fun. I also thought I was in a third world store by all the products and brand names that I don't recognize: cleaners, vitamins, chips, and other consumables . . . not too sure but I'll try some later with the knowledge that I'm in the USA and we have good lawyers! Ended up buying cards, some cheap tools, baggies along with the coffee filters. Have to say that I'm satisfied with the stuff. The help was friendly and I was handled quickly. My surprise is that they accept debit cards only. I don't do debit so cash was the answer. Then again I didn't spend too much since things were only $1. For a dollar store, it was amazingly clean and orderly. I expected stuff to be thrown all over, something like school sale week at Target but things were well stocked. So next time I'm inclined to go Target or after a funeral (I know, that's sick), spending a buck on some no-name crunchy stuff will be another entertainment adventure in my travels about the area. They also have imported products that are not available at the popular supermarkets. This dollar tree is smaller, but not as busy as the other ones nearby...which means sometimes you can find more items here that another store sold out of, but the checkout process is slow with only 1-2 cashiers. This location doesn't have a refrigerated or frozen section either so if you're looking for a cheap cold drink options are limited to the small drink fridge in front of the store. read more

Yesterday, May 2nd, well into our protocol for staying safe in a pandemic, and a week after mandated masks, I did essential shopping at Safeway and Dollar Tree. I had a really unnerving, and terrifying experience. The manager, Carmen, was barking orders at a checker (very disrespectfully and belligerently). She was doing this as she was walking, WITH OUT A MASK ON, and came right up behind me, no more than a foot. I could feel her breath on the back of my arm. Her mask was around her neck. I couldn't even jump away, I was standing in front of shelving. I asked her to step back and please put her mask on. All she could say was, "Well you should have on gloves!" ??? I am extremely nervous right now because if there is any chance that Carmen is positive for the Coronavirus, I was definitely exposed! Her spew from shouting a foot away from me was on me. I advise avoiding this location. Precautions are not being taken and the store was crowded. If I get sick from this, I am getting a lawyer. read more

Everything a dollar!!! Woohoo!!! I feel like crap every time I leave here, because thats exactly what I bought. Now don't get me wrong, that is not a rip on Dollar Tree, that is a rip on myself. There are some useful things in here for a dollar such as kitchen utensils. Spoons, ladles, and spatulas are not great quality but they are on par with the stuff over at target too, but they are 3 times cheaper here. I am starting to believe that my life would be completely miserable without the dollar tree store. They have so many things that I need every day and unluckily I have been buying them at other markets where I paid about three or four times more than what I pay at the dollar tree. The first thing I love about the dollar tree is the huge three litter bottles of sodas they have for sale. I feel like drinking soda has become cheaper than drinking water! They have cookies from other countries, cans of soups and other items that cost $5 or $6 at Safeway or other markets. The cleaning products are super cheap too and they have been helping me to save a few hundred bucks every month. I like this store a lot but the dollar tree in San Bruno may have a little more than this one. Like for instance more variety in gift bags. Thus is certainly the place to buy all your cards for only a $1 and close up gel toothpaste (which I love), they carry it here also. It was buy one get one free. How can you beat that.
