Dom and Mia's was our families favorite restaurant for special occasion, or just when we wanted to do a nice sit down meal. Not always easy to find with a 16, 14, and 8 year old. Of course when my son was asked where he wanted to celebrate his communion he chose Dom and Mia's. I booked our reservation of 7 and a week and a half later I get a call that my reservations are cancelled due to a party that booked the whole restaurant. Now one week before Communion I am calling around for reservations. Shocker many places are booked due to the communion. I get that they are going to make more money from a party than my table of seven, but that doesn't make me less disappointed. I should have been contacted sooner! read more

Change of heart! We ate here quite a while ago, and had a horrible, horrible meal. I left a very accurate bad review, but the owners response was to come back and give them another chance someday. We are SO glad we did! Tonight's dinner was everything we hoped for! Gina 1, our waitress was perfectly efficient and attentive and knowledgeable. She honestly could not have been any better! The Arancini appetizer was unique and had a great taste. The crab cakes were mostly crab and spiced perfectly. The Salmon dinner was prepared perfectly. The Chicken Parmesan and homemade pasta were excellent, and there was so much chicken I wish I could've kept eating! The Seafood Medley looked incredible and dissapearred fast, too. Actually, that looked so good that I'm counting on coming back to try it next time! I'm going to let the photos speak now! As a former local I was glad to see this restaurant. The decor is clean and modern. Server and serve very good. My husband and I enjoyed the Stromboli egg rolls. That was followed by a large salad and the rack of lamb. Feedback would be not enough seasoning and skimpy on the dressing. They also ran out of Luxardo cherries for our cocktails. Seemed like a nice looking place. Was not impressed with the pizza or chicken parm and pasta. This place is way overpriced for the quality of food. My chicken parm was like rubber. I took one bite and had to spit it back out. I told the waitress and asked to just order something else and I would've been fine with it. She spoke with the manager and he said no just bag it up for him and give him 50% off. Definitely was not the answer I was looking for. Especially on close to a $300 bill. It's not like I ate half of the plate and did this. It was literally one little bite. I felt they should've made it right. I was obviously hungry. As a Delco native, I want to LOVE Dom & Mia's, but upon my last visit- service and food were not worth it.... While it's understandably busy on a Saturday night, our server was bombarded with tables and had next to no one helping her. Not one time did I see or take notice of a manager "touching tables" or contributing to the madness... My party of 3 went without water for 30 minutes. We absolutely would have ordered more drinks (the cocktails were the highlight of the evening!) had we not just been sitting and waiting. I was hopeful the food would offset the lack of service, but unfortunately my $32 scampi was flavorless. Like some of the others on here I had high expectations only to miserably disappointed by the food. It was generic Italian. Nothing special. Chicken Marsala had too much gravy. Side spaghetti had a metallic taste. Eggplant Rolotini was too salty and tasted like something you'd get from the freezer. The decor was outstanding and the service was excellent. But you cannot eat decor. I do not know what goes through the minds of restaurant owners who think because they invest more in nice decor than food. I've been in red gravy joints in S. Philly and AC with dated decor and sloppy service, but outstanding Italian food that made me think I was in Italy. On the other hand the reason that this place does well is that overall the American palate has been so dumbed down with fast and frozen food no wonder places like this survive. read more

What a charming restaurant. The seafood royale is the best I ever tasted, the crabcakes are delicious, and the scallop special with asparagus and lemon risotto was just wonderful. Their cream of mushroom soup is delightful but their cream of asparagus and crab was absolute perfection. The service is attentive and the menu choices should please most diners. read more

I usually do not leave reviews but I felt like I needed to. First and foremost the restaurant is very nice inside. Our food was good. Bartender made a really good Pom.com drink. The lady that gave us our water was very nice, but our server was not welcoming at all. Not sure what his reason was, but we felt like we was not wanted there. We was inquiring about different beer selection and he walked away in  the middle of us asking question. Not once did he checked to see if we needed anything after we received our food nor our food was up to our satisfaction. The only time he came over was to collect our plates. Springfield at Saxer Ave has a new kid on the block...but this kid is all grown-up and teaching us about fine dining in an atmosphere and price-point that is more Delco friendly than Center City snooty. First visit, and we were not disappointed. My plain meat man had his steak, but with a demiglaze that sent it far beyond anything A-1 could ever do. I had something called Burning Sun that involved saffron / blue crab ravioli and a complex sauce that made me want to lick the platter clean...in fact, I may have. Because the portion sizes here are perfect. We left satisfied but not stuffed. We'll be back for more. And BTW, they have a full-service bar. The the bartenders are attentive serving well made and friendly cocktails. The waitstaff is warm and menu knowledgeable. The kitchen is amenable to certain dietary limitations. I will start by saying the restaurant is very well appointed, it is not your local sandwich shop. The food was very tasty and the service friendly. I had the onion soup (small) and pork Sammie and my wife had the burger. She was pleased with the burger, nice size and tasty. Sandwiches come with home made chips. I decided to upgrade to French fries for an up charge of $5. I feel this is excessive for fried potato's. The pork sandwich was very good but did not fill the roll. I/4 of the roll went uneaten as it was just excess bread. Overall, $70 ( including tip) is excessive for lunch for 2 people for soup, a burger, pork sandwich and french fries, IMHO. The cost of appetizers was comparable to the sandwiches which seems odd. In fairness, the costs of food may have been affected by the Putin price hikes. I do not think I have been out recently for a sandwich but the price point here for lunch seems a bit high. Regarding the onion soup, they offer 2 sizes. Again, I think it was a bit steep for onion soup. I will state that it was good ( because I like cheese) but I would do away with the small as it was all cheese and not much "soup" (onions in broth), $8 for a coffee cup size serving is high. read more
